Do you think it is biblical or right to dye ur hair?

the title says it all :D

just wondering what u all thought :D

I personally dont die my hair, my mum dosent either - shes a lovely grey colour - im sure if i had a sister she wouldnt either.

Anywayz, i am against hairdyeing - i think people are often better looking with their natural hair colour and especially when you get older, you look elegent.

i think that God choose my hair colour for me, like the colour of my eyes, and I couldn't be happier - i mean - why would i want to change that, it is something unique that God himself has choosen for me :D

Do you dye your hair? if so y?
If not - y not? and if you can use scripture

I beleive it is neither good nor bad.

it's sort of like eating sphaggeti, I don't think God really cares all that much.

If I say it is Biblical then ALL should be dying our hair.

If I say it is not, then NO ONE should dye their hair.

The BIBLE does not address it. And frankly, it is not a matter of salvation or spiritual maturity, so....what does it matter?

In fact God DOES like purple:

Exo 25:1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Exo 25:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.
Exo 25:3 And this is the offering which ye shall take of them; gold, and silver, and brass,
Exo 25:4 And blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair,

So people what this is saying that you are allowed to get a goats hair weave, as long as its blue purple or scarlet

I never thought I would be one to dye my hair....but a couple of years ago I started finding a few *cough* silvery coloered strands...(ok, ok......they were grey! GRRR!)......and it bothered me WAY more than I ever thought it would.

If I had not found them....I probably still would not have colored my hair to this day. My color that I get though is the same as my natural color. *shrugs* I don't think it matters if someone chooses to color their hair.

I am guessing that was a joke but just in case...

Purple represents royalty. It was used in the Tabernacle of Moses' curtains the colors consisted of Blue (representing Divinity), Red (representing Sacrifice), White (representing Pure) and Purple (representing royalty).

So the door, (curtain) was made up of those 4 colors.

There were 3 curtains one for each of the three parts of the tabernacle.. One to get into the outer courtroom one to get into the Holy Place and one to get into the Holy of Holies.

In Jewish tradition each of these doors had a name. The first curtain was "the Way"... The second curtain was called "the Truth" and the third curtain also known as the veil was known as "the Life"..

Hence in John 14:6 when Jesus said "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life (Those colored curtains).. Nobody gets to the Father but by Me"...

Jesus often referred to His body as the "Temple"...

John 2:19 Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”

Referring to His body as a Temple.. and Jesus did raise His body back up in three days after He was crucified... Anyway....

So when Jesus said He is those curtains.. Remember the colors of the curtains and what they symbolize?
Blue - Divinity (Jesus is God)
White - Pure (Jesus is sinless, otherwise He cannot be the perfect sacrifice for our sins)
Red - Sacrifice (Jesus died for our sins becoming a sacrifice for us)
Purple - Royalty (Jesus has to be both Lord and King of our life)

That was ages ago. He's gone off it since then.

Yes I was joking.

not the same.

I have no problem with people dying their hair.
