Do you believe all the words of prophets of YHWH that have been proven to be certified true prophets of YHWH? Those that have spoken in His Name and what they have said has come true. Is this enough to believe it is YHWH showing us what way we should go and what way we should not go? Do we heed these words or do we reject them? Do we trust and believe that what He has shown is for a reason and that His way is right? Or do we choose to go against them? There are a number of “Old Testament” prophecies that will, but have not yet come true, some of these are against the belief of many and against the desire of many. Do we trust that YHWH’s way is best?

Here are a few verses on the topic, there are many more, but a few just to give a general idea about prophecies. Please consider the questions above and add any thoughts or verses you choose. Thank you.

John 4:48, “יהושע then said to him, “If you people do not see signs and wonders, you do not believe at all.”

Luke 24:25, “And He said to them, “O thoughtless ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!”

Matthew 13:14-17, “And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is completely filled, which says, ‘Hearing you shall hear and by no means understand, and seeing you shall see and by no means perceive, for the heart of this people has become thickened, and their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their heart, and turn back, and I heal them. (Isa 6:9-10) “And blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear, for truly I say to you, that many prophets and righteous ones longed to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.”

Hosea 12:10, “And I have spoken to the prophets, and have increased visions. And through the prophets I gave parables.”

Amos 3:6-8, “If a trumpet is blown in a city, do the people not tremble? If there is calamity in a city, shall not יהוה have done it? For the Master יהוה does no matter unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets. A lion has roared! Who is not afraid? The Master יהוה has spoken! Who would not prophesy?”

2 Chronicles 20:20-21, “And they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Teqowa. And as they went out, Yehoshaphat stood and said, “Hear me, O Yehuḏah and you inhabitants of Yerushalayim: Trust in יהוה your Mighty One and be steadfast, trust His prophets and prosper.” And after consulting with the people, he appointed those who should sing to יהוה, and who should praise the splendor of set-apartness, as they went out before the army and were saying, “Give thanks to יהוה, for His loving-commitment is everlasting.”

Hosea 12:13, “And by a prophet יהוה brought Yisra’yl out of Mitsrayim, and by a prophet he was watched over.”

Numbers 12:6, “And He said, “Hear now My words: If your prophet is of יהוה, I make Myself known to him in a vision, and I speak to him in a dream.”

Joel 2:28-29, “And after this it shall be that I pour out My Spirit on all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men dream dreams, your young men see visions. And also on the male servants and on the female servants I shall pour out My Spirit in those days.”

2 Chronicles 24:19, “And He sent prophets to them, to bring them back to יהוה. And they witnessed against them, but they did not listen.”

Matthew 5:11-12, “Blessed are you when they reproach and persecute you, and falsely say every wicked word against you, for My sake. Rejoice and be glad, because your reward in the heavens is great. For in this way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

Jeremiah 28:9, “The prophet who prophesies of peace – when the word of the prophet comes to pass, that prophet is known as one whom יהוה has truly sent.”

Revelation 12:17, “And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to fight with the remnant of her seed, those guarding the Commands of יהוה and possessing the Witness of יהושע Messiah."

Isaiah 8:20, “To the Law and to the Testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.”

Isaiah 30:8-26, “And go, write it before them on a tablet, and inscribe it on a scroll, that it is for a latter day, a witness forever: that this is a rebellious people, lying children, children who refuse to hear the Torah of יהוה,, "who say to the seers, “Do not see,” and to the prophets, “Do not prophesy to us what is right. Speak to us what is smooth, prophesy deceits. Turn aside from the way, swerve from the path, cause the Set-apart One of Yisra’yl to cease from before us.” Therefore thus said the Set-apart One of Yisra’yl, “Because you despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and rely on them, therefore this crookedness is to you like a breach ready to fall, a bulge in a high wall, whose breaking comes suddenly, swiftly.” And He shall break it like the breaking of the potter’s vessel, which is broken in pieces, without sparing, so that there is not found among its fragments a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water from the cistern. For thus said the Master יהוה, the Set-apart One of Yisra’yl, “In returning and rest you are saved, in stillness and trust is your strength.” But you would not, and you said, “No, for we flee upon horses,” therefore you flee! And, “We ride on swift horses,” therefore those who pursue you are swift! One thousand flee at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five you shall flee until you are left as a pole on top of a mountain and as a sign on a hill. And therefore יהוה shall wait, to show you favor. And therefore He shall be exalted, to have compassion on you. For יהוה is an Elohim of right-ruling. Blessed are all those who wait for Him. For the people shall dwell in Tsiyon at Yerushalayim, you shall weep no more. He shall show much favor to you at the sound of your cry; when He hears, He shall answer you. Though יהוה gave you bread of adversity and water of affliction, your Teacher shall no longer be hidden. But your eyes shall see your Teacher, and your ears hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the Way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right, or whenever you turn to the left. And you shall defile the covering of your graven images of silver, and the plating of your molded images of gold. You shall throw them away as a menstrual cloth and say to them, “Be gone!” And He shall give the rain for your seed with which you sow the ground, and bread of the increase of the earth. And it shall be fat and rich, your cattle grazing in an enlarged pasture in that day, and the oxen and the young donkeys that work the ground eat seasoned fodder winnowed with shovel and fan. And on every high mountain and on every high hill there shall be rivers and streams of waters, in the day of great killing, when the towers fall. And the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that יהוה binds up the breach of His people, and heals the wound of His blows.”
