You may not believe,, if you are talking about yourself.... but you can not speak for everyone else..... not only do I believe the Word of God I also live it. if you would like to know it I will be grateful to help you learn what is the Word of God by the word of God and I will not give my opion.
cookie, i'm certain you misunderstood Pastor Keith if you think that he doesnt believe the Bible. You only need read his posts to know who he is and to know that he is very knowledgable of scripture. In fact, the fact that he quotes scripture in pretty much all of his posts is testiment to that reliance on scripture. I think he was more speaking to a feeling of exasperation over all of the recent threads discrediting the Holy Bible. I am feeling much the same way. I also think you misunderstood me to be replying to you, I was actually speaking to deadtosin in stating its wonderful to hear peoples testimony. God Bless you & I totally understand what you are saying in the postings in this thread, it is important to consider the word of God in all things!

I apologize for the misunderstanding, and I hope that no one misunderstand what I am tring to say. I love God and I am grateful alwasy for God giving me the Spirit of knowledge and revelation of his wWord, with a added blessing to give Godly wisdom and understanding by his Holy Spirit. and of myself. I love to hear the testamonies of my sisters and brothers in Christ Jesus. but some people give not testamonies but advises on their own understanding and that does not edify nor does it help a person grow in their relationship with God; which have a passion to see all who the Lord has called and chosen out of this world. for We know God said that faith commeth by the hearing of the Word.

I do consider other's opions, but not when someone is asking what God/Bible say. and also I am not putting down the effort, but the answer, I Cor. 3:19 for the wisdom of this world is foolisness with God. and for those who are not learned in the word II Tim. God said; study to show thyself approved unto God. and for the part that I said It's funny to me I apolgize.. I should of have said it is sad. I must say that the Holy Spirit is powerful enough to help those who have a learning disability. I have family that didn't get pass the 5th grade. and preach someone under a table. and the Bible say John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you.
and we all know the scripture that tells us if you knock, the door will be opened, if you seek you shall find and if you hunger you shall be feed. so working, disabilities or what ever the reason God will not except it.
Matthew 10:38-39 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. 39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. Psalms 37:30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.

Romans 10:14-17 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Cookie, thankyou for the apoligy, not so much for myself but for those that like myself would be hurt by that statement. Our Lord God makes ones weakness his glory. I do agree with you about how the word has been used to promote ones own objective or defiled to fit their personal needs. But please dont be to hard of those that have trouble recalling scripture. I may be weak in recall but Jesus has made me strong in heart. What is important is the testimony that stays within Our Lord Gods laws. You yourself have just seen how one word can cause harm. I know my abuility to quote scripture exactly is weak. But all I share is what the Holy Spirit has blazed opon my heart. To often lately people want to eliminate all in fear or concern of the few that are wrong. If Jesus has shown me one thing reciently is that we must act in faith and not allow the few to drive away those who serve. He has taught me to value all things in him. Even the simple voice of the young in faith. Sharing testimony and understanding of the word is one of Our Lord Jesus's gifts. All that is his creation bears witness to him. His grace and power ,is far to strong to let the one that defiles succeed. As I said before, I did not dissagree with you on the importance of the word. Only the attitude towards those that are not a acomplished in it. The battle is against those that seek to separate us from Jesus, and I believe our effort is best spent swinging the sword of truth. The myth that the word is outdated is one of the many that has to end. His word is alive and very aplicable to life today. I hope you are able to see that we were in agreement for the most part. I also hope you will agree with me that we both seek the truth in Jesus, and where we may be weak that Our Lord Jesus will make strong and unify us as his brothers and sisters in Our Lord Jesus. Please forgive me for being so harsh before. I dont often speak out against another. Mostly because Im not very good at it. I believe we should always try and build each other up in faith. God bless, pickles

Pickles, goodmorning :0) I just wanted to mention to you to keep seeking God in his word even if its just for your own personal growth (I think perhaps you already do this). I too have trouble with scripture recall but since I pray & spend time in Gods word its amazing what the Holy Spirit can assist us with! Especially in times of personal trial, the Lord always seems to lead me to the exact right scripture. How blessed you are to have the wisdom of the Holy Spirit. & I love how you end all your posts with God Bless, Pickles. Well, God Bless Pickles!!

To be able to recall exactly where a verse/verses come from in Gods Word, ie Book - chapter and verse number is fantastic, but I think that is not as important as having the Word written on your heart and mind, by this I mean that by repetitive reading of the scriptures so as to know what is written is far more important...to me it is because of this verse:

Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Now when Satan comes against us and we have to draw our Spiritual Sword to cut him down, which is the Word, we don't have to say "Satan!....Isaiah 53:5 and 1Peter 2:24 says by His stripes we are healed!"
all we need to say is "Satan!...it is written, by His stripes we are healed!"
just as Jesus did when tempted by Satan in the wilderness what did He say to Satan?

Mat 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

there are many more examples of this in scripture
However having said that, referring to posts in these forums it is preferable to give reference to Scripture when quoting from the Word especially in the Bible discussion threads.

I agree and maybe God will allow us all to come together and help others,
one thing that I have not forgotten; for I pray that God would never let me;; that is where I come from and where I started... it has been 12 yrs since I received Christ as my Lord and Saviour. and trust me I was spiritually blind as a bat, no matter how I read the Bible, I literally was void of understanding, and no revelation at all. so for those who are starting on the sincere milk of the Word.... trust me I never aimed anthing to them... even to this day, I can quote scripture mut most that I quote, I could not tell you what book, chapter, or verse it is at. so again I say unto you as well as many when it comes to helping me, tell me what the Lord said or did accordind to scriptures, so that I may get to know him and know of him. never once did I say anything about someone who is tring to help somene, but how on earth can you give a Christian worldy advice to put it as simple as I know how? or someone who is seeking God? for example; if some one walk up to you and ask you how could they get save;; and your response be " I think you could go to church, cause I think everyone who goes to church is saved. would that be right.. or would you say that if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth the Jesus Christ is the son of God and he came in the flesh and fied for our sins and God rose him up from the dead on the third day............ which will help the soul of that person..... although that person mean well..what does that prosper anyone. thats all I am saying. as I noticed that some do ask for the opions of other's and that is what they will get... I made it up in my mind that I have no opions outs God's Word. if they want to know what thus saith the Lord I will respond because I do not want to hurt anybody nor stunt their growth in the Lord. cause the answer that I might give from the flesh.. is not appropiate for this site.. so I keep them to my self.. I love everyone and from the first day that I got saved; till this day I want to see the whole world saved.. its like a cry inside of me for the new, the old, and the not yets... but would believe that God wont use all of us to reach them, and if faith come by the hearing of the Word then lets shout it to the roof tops.. even if it is on scripture ( Jesus wept) then use it for carry as much power as them all.

Thank you so much, and my your compassions for the God family continue in faith
