We are told we have to choose, we can’t have both.

Matt. 6:24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”

The kingdom of heaven is the opposite of the kingdoms of the earth. Scripture tells us Satan is the ruler of the earth, 2 Cor. 4:4 “In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”

The kingdom of heaven is about love. We are to love and do good for our enemies. We are not to give evil for evil, we are to turn the other cheek. The kingdoms of the earth are about the sword.

Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

It is the power of the sword against the power of the cross, the world tries to control behavior, the kingdom of heaven changes man from the inside, the earth kingdoms try to establish superiority, God’s ways are the ways of the servant, earthly kingdoms have enemies but God’s kingdom makes friends of enemies.

“The kingdom of heaven is the opposite of the kingdoms of the earth. Scripture tells us Satan is the ruler of the earth,”

that’s why the law of Moses for earth is contrary to the gospel from heavens kingdom
