Certainly if we all obey the “Great Commandment” and love the Lord with all our hearts, minds, and souls, the Lord will never be lonely.

That is a great name you have there Elijah, but let's not raise ourselves up to high it has nothing to do with us keeping anything , He has a host a angels with him even if no one else gets in>>

Re 4:8And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, HOLY, HOLY, HOLY, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

We have to love the Lord because he created us. We owe our very existence to him, and to not love him would be the most ungrateful attitude one could ever had. The Lord doesn't need our love in the sense that a fish needs water. It isn't necessary to his existence or "happiness" that he be loved by mankind. If all human beings on earth hated God, he would still be completely and perfectly himself, and would lack nothing, and would not be lonely.

We feel lonely when something is missing from our lives: companionship, other people, ambient noise, etc. God is missing nothing. And all powerful being can not lack anything, and cannot be lonely.

I think the Lord has feelings and that he likely gets lonely if we ignore him.

I don't think God gets lonely, but sometimes I do wonder why he created the world.

We were created with the free will to choose to love him. He wanted us to choose him. But why? Why does God want us to love him? He doesn't need our love.

God created history to settle the question; 'Is he justified condemning the fallen angels to hell?'

'Justice must not only be done; it must be seen to be done.'

I think the Lord probably needs SOMETHING, and our love satisfies that need. If we refuse to love him, then he will find a different way to satisfy his need.

No that's a good point, and quite accurate to what I've heard some people say. I would think loneliness would be more of a problem if God was only one person ?

It is absurd and stinks of polytheism. That is the joke of it. Yet you would agree?.....lol

The Lord IS one person, is he not? He is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, but he is only one person.

My Dad was a father, son, and husband. That didn’t make him three people—he was only one person.

The Godhead is like a team.

You have the Coach=The Father
The Captain=The Son
The Trainer=The Spirit

They had an unbeatable team right there and enjoyed total success and each other's company.
The decided to make some creatures to share all this with.
Look at Psalm 2 and you will see them having a converstion.

Psalm 2 (King James Version)

Psalm 2

1Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.
5Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
7I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
8Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
10Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. 12Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

The moment you say God has a need, he is no longer omnipotent, omniscient omnipresent.

Yes this is true

My Dad was a father, son, and husband. That didn’t make him three people—he was only one person.
God is not a Father, Son, and husband ectt... like you dad. That teaching is called modalism and not biblical. God is the Father, He became a man in the incarnation who was the Son, and is a Spirit who is the Holy Spirit.

God is the Father, Son and Spirit, He is not a father, son or spirit.

John 8
13 The Pharisees therefore said to Him, “You bear witness of Yourself; Your witness is not true.”
14 Jesus answered and said to them, “Even if I bear witness of Myself, My witness is true, for I know where I came from and where I am going; but you do not know where I come from and where I am going.
15 You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one.
16 And yet if I do judge, My judgment is true; for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent Me.
17 It is also written in your law that the testimony of two men is true.
18 I am One who bears witness of Myself, and the Father who sent Me bears witness of Me.”
19 Then they said to Him, “Where is Your Father?”
Jesus answered, “You know neither Me nor My Father. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also.”
20 These words Jesus spoke in the treasury, as He taught in the temple; and no one laid hands on Him, for His hour had not yet come.

Why would Jesus refer to the Father as another Person, whom bears witness with Him?
