Does the 'revelation of Jesus Christ' bring us HS understanding, as Joyce Meyer says?

Hello psychomom and zone.,

The Bible says God is not a respector of persons. When His children suffer does this make His blessings any less? No, His promises are new every morning. You either believe God's word or not. I am convinced in my own heart and mind since the Lord has dealt with me.

PSALM 23

The Lord is my Shepherd (to feed, guide, and shield me) I shall not lack.
He makes me lie down in (fresh, tender) green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restul waters.

He refreshes and restores my life (my self) He leads me in the paths of righteousness (uprightness and right standing with Him - not for my earning it, but) for His name's sake.

Yes, though I walk through the (deep, sunless) valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod (to protect) and Your staff (to guide), they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my (brimming) cup runs over.

Surely or only goodness; mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord (and His presence) shall be my dwelliing place.
___________________________________________________

It may take some major rough times in life to come to the place where we believe this. Where we count on it for daily living and find our ONLY and TOTAL security IN Him and not the outward circumstances of this life on earth.

I'm sure the people who do not have what you would consider a good life are very blessed just as we are who seem to have more. I'm sure they have asked for their needs and also their wants in their individual circumstances as I have. And I'm sure the Lord has answered them super abundantly like He answered my prayers and probably even more so.

I asked for peace and security in a place of no peace or security and the Lord heard my cry.
I asked for restoration and He restored me. He tells us to ask. You have not because you ask not.. so I ask.

Zone, maybe where you would ask for a car, I asked the Lord for a good dog and guess what!? See the picture by my name? That dog has been a blessing to me in more ways I can share in the last 2 years.

Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.
Ephesians 1:4 This is a promise for us all. Thank You Jesus, lynn

I think it is important that we respect each other's diference of belief, just because one does not believe that the Spirit is at work in them to do miracles (that the person may NOT even know is going on), prophesying, healing, is not reason to berate, belittle, judge them. There is a great divide in the pentecostal and lutheran faiths over spiritual gifts. OK? So, what? Did God ever say that a disagreement in the understanding of the gifts was going to condemn us? No, we BOTH are going on to Him because our salvation is secure simply by our belief in the grace of salvation saving us, through faith, in Christ and His work (not our work) done on the cross. :)

For all we know, maybe the devil did think he'd won. Can anyone prove either way what the devil actually thought during that time?
No one knew but God and Jesus, who is God, they are the only One. Jesus was in his humanity, He KNEW the 'cup' He was about to take was going to be a human experience, of death. But, yes, to, somewhat, answer your question, Satan did NOT know, only Christ knew of what was to come. No one else on the entire planet Earth KNEW. No one, this IS the ultimate revelation of Jesus Christ, the fact that Jesus died but, He rose again. Halelujah ! :)

And, to completely answer your question, Satan, who is The Devil, did THINK he knew that he could destroy Jesus, but, Satan could not think like God (no one can, and, no one knows His thoughts per 1 Cor. 2) and Jesus was God, just a man carrying out His Father's will :) , which was to die for mankind, be raised by His power, to be then back on EArth a bit to prove 'truth' and then now sits at the right hand of God in heaven, who is Jesus, who is also God. Two sitting there, who are One, with His HOly Spirit down here on Earth LIVING in all those who believe in Him (this sounds like a judgmental bit here, it's not, it's revelation :) Or, not :) YOu choose to believe it is what it is :) ).

psychomommy:
I am not sure how you reconcile the last line of your first post (which I assume is from Joyce Meyers?) with what you said in your second post, though.
Of course God still heals! Just not on command

Please don't use 'pronouns,' el, so to speak :D This above post is too vague to me in current form. I will answer though, if you let me know what are the exact two lines of 1st and 2nd post in question. :)

I said in the OP that there are verses in Scripture, aren't there, about the revelation of Jesus Christ. Indeed, there are. Here is Paul speaking in Ephesians 1 :)

15For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, 16I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. 17I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit[SUP]f[/SUP] of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
The 'green' words explain what Joyce Meyers was wanting to bless her congregation and tv viewers with :)
