Hello psychomom and zone.,
The Bible says God is not a respector of persons. When His children suffer does this make His blessings any less? No, His promises are new every morning. You either believe God's word or not. I am convinced in my own heart and mind since the Lord has dealt with me.
PSALM 23
The Lord is my Shepherd (to feed, guide, and shield me) I shall not lack.
He makes me lie down in (fresh, tender) green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restul waters.
He refreshes and restores my life (my self) He leads me in the paths of righteousness (uprightness and right standing with Him - not for my earning it, but) for His name's sake.
Yes, though I walk through the (deep, sunless) valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod (to protect) and Your staff (to guide), they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my (brimming) cup runs over.
Surely or only goodness; mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord (and His presence) shall be my dwelliing place.

It may take some major rough times in life to come to the place where we believe this. Where we count on it for daily living and find our ONLY and TOTAL security IN Him and not the outward circumstances of this life on earth.
I'm sure the people who do not have what you would consider a good life are very blessed just as we are who seem to have more. I'm sure they have asked for their needs and also their wants in their individual circumstances as I have. And I'm sure the Lord has answered them super abundantly like He answered my prayers and probably even more so.
I asked for peace and security in a place of no peace or security and the Lord heard my cry.
I asked for restoration and He restored me. He tells us to ask. You have not because you ask not.. so I ask.
Zone, maybe where you would ask for a car, I asked the Lord for a good dog and guess what!? See the picture by my name? That dog has been a blessing to me in more ways I can share in the last 2 years.
Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.
Ephesians 1:4 This is a promise for us all. Thank You Jesus, lynn
