So Yaeger, what would be worse? Wearing a thong, or not wearing underwear at all? If underwear is soooooooo sinful, is it more sinful to wear it, or to be naked under your pants?

You know, my dad woudn't let me wear pantyhose until I was 16 because it was too sexy. I'm still trying to figure out how ANOTHER layer of clothing whose function is to cover my legs and make it possible to wear shoes without socks is too sexy for someone to wear.

for anyone who want to know whos right in this question heres your anwser

3And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3

tell me what would a little child need to where a thong for?
Just so you know you are taking that verse out of context it is talking about a person's heart. :)

And again, Yaeger, which is worse? Wearing a thong, which is an added layer of clothing that has a function and purpose but could inadvertantly cause some pervert to lust...or just not wearing underwear at all which most men would find even more erotic?

What did Yaeger say that you are all ganging up on him? It doesn’t take any courage to do that. Why doesn’t one of you go one on one with him.

well your asking the wrong person in my bevilef underwear was made with a purpose to cover and keep the private parts warm and hidden but thongs degrade that theory/idea so really hear see what we are talking about and if you care go to God and ask him for the anwers and dont come back till you know that you have your anwser from Him-amen

Is it inappropriate for more than one person to disagree with him at a time? As for going one-on-one with him, he posted this in the forums to make it a public discussion.

What is puzzling me is how some people can think thongs or other items of clothing can either be guilty or innocent, when they are neutral objects. I've never seen a pair of underwear walk around by itself, rob a bank, and then go on a high speed car chase.

It's not really ganging up on him if he posts something and people ask him questions to get him to prove his point. That's discussion. I'm not being sarcastic, I really want to know what he thinks about thongs vs. no underwear at all. Pushing someone to explore every faucet of a belief they have will either strengthen them or make them realize they should rethink their theory.

A thong keeps your private parts warm and hidden AND it has the added benefit of not showing lines which is considered inappropriate. So, in a way, by your own reasoning, thongs are more appropriate than a pair of underwear that shows lines.

For you to claim that your opinion on this matter was given to you by God is, I think, both misguided and dangerous. We are all Christians here, and many of us have come to a different conclusion than you. As I said earlier, the Holy Spirit "told" me that thongs are OK. What do you have to say to that?

Did you know when God made clothing for Adam and Eve out of sheepskins, He didn't give them underpants?

Logic: In Exodus, Leviticus etc, underwear is linen, not made from sheep skin.

maybe it would be better to examine the intent behind wearing a thong. If you are wearing it so you can wear a pair of pants without showing panty lines, good deal. If you are wearing it in the privacy of your own home for comfort, good deal...if you are wearing it for your spouse to initiate the gift of sex God gave married couples, rock on. If you are wearing it so you can flash the thong straps above your skirt and look like a skanky advertisement for promiscuity and are TRYING to get men to lust after you, naughty naughty. The thong itself is nothing but cut fabric, just like your boxers. They have a function which is more likely to be for good purposes than evil ones.

What about underwear for the rapture. Unless you cross your legs on the way up.

Yaeger, I bet since we are in Heaven where we can't sin, we will all probably be just as naked as Adam and Eve were before they ate the apple. God made us naked, we are born naked, and I doubt there will be seamstresses in heaven.

Underwear is not for hidding, I would think that most people where something on top of them? I would imagine a main purpose for women's underwear is to protect them, which a thong would do. I'm not saying that I believe a christian woman should really wear revealing clothing, but, I don't consider a thong revealing since it is underwear. The only one who would see it is her husband, and as her husband I'm pretty sure he has seen her without any underwear on. It's amazing that this thread is already 5 pages long. Please, if the Holy Spirit is relating things to you, get something from Him that is edifying. I'm sure most people on here need greater spiritual guidance than on what kind of underwear to wear.

Which brings me to a question for you. Why are you asking the Holy Spirit about women's underwear? Is this just something that came to you now? or did you find it in that verse? and if that is the case, I would imagine you are gonna take a vow of chasity.
