Where in Scripture does it’s now okay to eat swine?

If you can, please document your answer.
Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
Col 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Col 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
Col 2:17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Let no person judge you in meats, for Jesus took the physical ordinances of Israel, and nailed them to His cross taking them out of the way,for they were contrary to us,which means they had no bearing on spiritual salvation.

1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1Ti 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
1Ti 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
1Ti 4:4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
1Ti 4:5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

All meat is good, and nothing to be refused, for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer, and why is that, because it is spiritual in the New Testament, and not spiritual in the Old Testament.

No physical day of rest, for it is a spiritual rest by the Holy Spirit.

Eat what you want, which I do not like eating pork anyway.

Pork is alright to eat in the New Testament, but if a person thinks it is wrong to eat pork, but they eat pork, then it is sin.

Matthew 5:17-20

17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Works have nothing to do with the law. The law is the teacher or school master to show you how to do good works, while your works is a display that reveals your obedience to that law. Your works show your discipline from God's Word being carried out in your life. While the attitude you have while doing your works shows your love for Christ in your life.

Many teach that when Christ came and went to the cross at Calvary, and shed His blood for us that the law was done away with. Jesus Christ, Himself declares here that this is just not so. Jesus declared here that; "think not that I am come to destroy the law or the Prophets", Christ's purpose for coming to earth, was to complete every last prophecy that came out of the Prophets of old. That included the law, for the law, was given for guidance for man, and it is as current today as it was three thousand years ago.

God knew that man could not keep the law, and that is why He made the provision for man. When a man broke the law, and the barrier came between God and man, and certain rites, ordinances, and rituals [sacrifices] were established by God to bring man back to God. These sacrifices were of the blood of sheep, goats, and doves, and were a covering, [called atonement] that satisfied the Lord God for one year.

The only permanent sacrifice that could atone for man's sin, was a spotless sacrifice, sinless, and the only one that could do that was God's only Son, Jesus Christ. This was known long before the setting forth of the planets. God's plan was even written in the constellations of the heavens. The moment our Lord Jesus Christ died on that cross, the veil in the Temple was rent.

18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

This is Jesus teaching what we have just gone over. Not one word that has been written, or Prophesied in the Scriptures will be done away with, not one. The "jot" is the smallest letter in the Hebrew language, and appears like this " ' ", and it is recorded in the original Massoretic text 66,420 times. It is called "yod", and is pronounced "iota". However, the jot, like the tittle have no sound where it is used.

The "title" is a small ornament that is placed over Hebrew letters so you can tell the difference between the two letters that are very similar in appearance. It has no sound of its own but eliminates the confusion of identifying Hebrew letters, such as telling the difference between R = resh [ ], and D = deleth [ ]. Jesus has told us that every marking of the original will stay in place, and apply to God's people, until that prophecy has come to pass, or the law has been fulfilled.

Many prophecies are already fulfilled, as well as all the blood sacrifices, and ordinances. Some of the law will not be fulfilled until after judgment day when we enter the eternal age. Then all sin will be done away with, because the tempter, Satan, and all those that followed his ways will be turned to ashes. The health laws are in place to give us a long healthful life while living in the flesh. To break those laws is not so much a sin, but results in poor health, and sickness.

When anyone tells you the Old Testament is done away with, mark him well, for they could care less about your soul. The Old Testament tells us more about the end times, our generation, then all the New Testament combined. In fact, the most complete record of the Millennium age is given in Ezekiel, the last nine chapters, and the record of events of our generation are given in detail in the minor prophets. The reason the Christian nations are in the dark as to their far past is that they reject much of the Old Testament, and they have come to believe the lies of the Kenites. "Those that say they are Jews, and lie, and are of the synagogue of Satan." [Revelation 2:9; 3:9]

19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

The blood ordinances are gone
, they were finished when Christ went to the cross, but not one of God's laws has been fulfilled. Jesus is telling His disciples and us that if we break even the smallest law, we break them all. God holds those that go out and on purpose, breaks any of them, the least of importance in His kingdom. Did you get that? "and shall teach men so." I would think twice before teaching that the law was done away with, or if I did, it is time for repentance for you.

The breaking of the law does not make the law bad, but it makes a man bad. When the law is broken, then we must follow Christ's first words of instruction, in Matthew 4:17; "Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Until you repent, you will wear your sins. Being a believer does not wash your sins away. But when you repent in Jesus name, they are gone forever. We sin in so many things, daily, and this is why we must repent daily. We must die daily to our sinful nature, that is in conflict with the new nature that God has placed within us when we accept Jesus Christ.

20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

This is Jesus doing the teaching here, and these Scribes and Pharisees are the ones that sit in the seat of Moses and claim to be the law givers, yet they are the Kenites. We know that five hundred years prior to this sermon, the Kenites, or sons of Satan virtually took over the duties of the scribes, and the Levitical priesthood allowed it to come to pass. This is recorded in I Chronicles 2:55; "And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez [Jerusalem]; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab." These scribes were in charge when the House of Judah came out of captivity in Babylon.

Most Pharisees were part of the priesthood, and Ezra and Nehemiah tell us that these Kenites, the "Nethinims" had taken over the Levitical priesthood while in Babylon, and took control over the duties of the priests in the Temple. Those duties were teaching the Law and the ordinances.

By the time of Christ's birth, they had five hundred years to perfect their slant to God's laws, and add many of their own. This is why Jesus addressed them in Matthew 23:2, 3; "Saying, "The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: [teaching the law and judging] All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not." In other words, they are hypocrites, and of their father the devil.

The law is important to us, and it is for us to know the law, and do our interpretation with the teachings of Christ, for if ye allow them to interpret it for us, it may cause us to miss out on the Kingdom. Our righteousness must exceed the Scribes and Pharisees for the simple reason that their ways are of their father Satan, the devil, and Satan's ways are not God's ways. God gave us the law in His written Word, and examples with that Word, it is for us to know them, and abide by them. Most of God's laws are natural, and just common sense equals wisdom.

Rem the Laws were for Israel in the OT...The Gentiles had no such laws. When the Gentiles did not eat the meat of unclean animals or those with blood still in them, they were doing it NOT to offend their Jewish neighbors. What God told Noah was that he would eat meat but with no blood in it. Gen 9:4

IF you are trying to obey the laws then you will automatically lose...... 613 laws that only one man could obey all of them. Jesus.

Live by the FAITH (alone) in Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirits GUIDANCE and by God's (the Father) LOVE! If you like Pork eat it....If you like Bacon eat it... If you like Ham.....eat it.

Jesus obeyed all the Laws?
Why did He and His Apostles eat with unwashed hands?
Why did He have dinner with the unclean sinners?
Why did He pick grain on the Sabbath?

Am I saying Jesus is a sinner.
NO!
So ...

Find out.

Mark Chapter 7

15 There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.
16 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
17 And when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.
18 And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, [it] cannot defile him;
19 Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?
20 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.

Acts 10:10-20

10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,

11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending upon him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:

12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.

14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.

15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters.

2 One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables.

3 The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them.

4 Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand.

Hi EG,
This is a great post.

I particularly love how you explained everything in the above highlighted in blue.

It seems difficult for some to understand what works are or that we're called to do them.
So I read different ways of explaiining them. NO EXPLANATION SHOULD BE NECESSARY!
All we have to do is read Jesus' words to us.

Thanks for such a good post.

Swine like female donkeys or others beast of the field are what God called at one time as "unclean animals" used in parables to represent those who have not been born again. He uses the unclean in ceremonial laws used as shadows up until the time reformation (Eat Peter) when those shadows turned to substance Christ the ceremonial law came to no effect.

Issachar a male represents those who have eaten by doing the will of the Father . Christ stretching down between the burden of the literal law, and the spirit of the law, the spirit of faith, of grace.

It could represent Christ coming into Jerusalem on a Ass

Issachar is a strong ass couching down between two burdens:Gen 49:14

That thou shalt set apart unto the LORD all that openeth the matrix, and every firstling that cometh of a beast which thou hast; the males shall be the LORD's.And every firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb; and if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break his neck: and all the firstborn of man among thy children shalt thou redeem.
Exo 13:12

Females Asses again are used to represent the unbelievers they must be redeemed by a lamb to represent salvation.

Because God would make it clear that he is not served by human hands in the brining of the gospel.. He who has no form uses a parable to express he is not served by human hands as if he neded somsthing from the clay he is foring Christ in.

This is the same kind of work used by Satan who has no form in the garden resulting in blasphemy.

And the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times? And Balaam said unto the ass, Because thou hast mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee. And the ass said unto Balaam, Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee? And he said, Nay.Num 22:28

Perhaps he looks like this.]

This is horrible for two reasons I can think of immediately.
There are probably more.

1. Jesus said a house divided against itself cannot stand. When did he say this? When he was exorcising demons from persons and being accused that He was doing so by the power of Satan.

So when people pray to Mary, do you think they have God on their mind or Satan?

2. This is the mother of Jesus. What if someone called your mother Satan?
Ask forgiveness of her SON and have some respect!

Anti=Christ like; like your words spoken to me above here?
So when did Rome's image become a Christian thing to you?
Well, let's see.

Mary was a converted Jew and so was Christian a few years before you.

Mary wasn't Roman. She belongs to all Christians.

Do you know the 5th commandment?
You should study it.
You should honor all mothers and fathers.
They have quite a job.
Also, study the life of Christ and what his parents went through for him.
His parents included Mary.

Your opinion of horrible not mine.
1. Rome's image of Mary is not Mary. It's just an image promoted as being Mary. God doesn't like idols. His house is not divided, He keeps it together.

Only one praying could answer that, however, when someone prays Hail Mary I'm sure they know they aren't praying to God.

2. No it's not the mother of Jesus, it's an idol. Once again, God doesn't like idols.

So this is a photo of Mary the handmaid of the LORD you say? nope it's just an idol.
What if someone called my mother satan? Well my mom is dead but when she was alive she would probably say that she had been called worse.

Your turn, what if someone called your mom satan and you a son of the devil?
As far as respect goes...... you should take your own advice!

Grace,

we weren't talking to you personally, but addressing those who desecrated our Lord's
Temple...and now attempt to make His Mother a part of that...do you understand where
we are coming from?

Study to show yourself approved.
Renew your mind.
Love your neighbor.

Bon Appetit!

This is such a NON-ISSUE yet we are wasting time over it.

To the weaker brethren -- eat herbs and be happy.

To the stronger brethren -- eat pork but just don't hog everything!

As the slogan goes "Put pork on your fork"! And remind the politicians that the days of pork barrel politics are over.

Acts 10 had nothing to do with food, it was a practical example of not calling unclean what the Almighty has declared clean, please read the rest of chapter 10, this is about people NOT food
Actually it refers to people and food. God Himself prophesied in Genesis 9:3 that there would come a day when eating anything will not be religiously wrong. The reason they had such physical rules in the Old Testament is because they were representations of the spiritual things to come in the New Testament. "The reality is found in Christ."

We no longer go by the physical rules of Moses, (Romans 7;1-4), but only by the spiritual rules of Christ- Who now has all authority over God's people today. (Matthew 28:18).
