Candidate, number 1 - promised they'd be given unlimited amounts of cheese to eat, and promised they wouldn't have to work any more. Candidate, number 2 - said they'd have enough to eat - but would have to work for it, if able-bodied - but the elderly were to be exempt from the requirement to work.
Some of the mice chose candidate, number 1, and some of them chose candidate number 2. But let me explain the unseen details about what life under candidate, number 1 would be like. The mice would have plenty of cheese to eat - and no doubt about it - that was their favorite snack! But what they didn't know, was that they would be gradually killed and cooked to provide the "best mouse steak ever" to a bunch of cats! However, the mice who would choose candidate, number 2, would not end up as meals for cats! They would have to work hard for a living, but that is a small thing in view of the fact that their lives would be spared!
Moral of the story: Be careful what choices you make in life! Don't put your earthly needs or desires above what is best for you.
And spiritually speaking, similarly - be careful to choose God as the Lord of your life! You'll have to work - but your spirits will be preserved both in this life and in the next - and you'll end up living in wonderful heaven with God for all eternity!
Don't be so foolish as to allow the devil to be your lord in life! Though he allows you to do anything you want - the outcome is painful to describe! A life without God's help and guidance in this life, and full of troubles produced by sin - and an eternity in hell after this life!

I remember a book called 'who moved my cheese' it was very popular, it was about business rats, running round chasing after cheese, that kept moving.

You are a gifted story teller.
Politicians nightmare - to be held accountable for all the lie he told.

That is definitely a wild tale. The mouse that wants another term has fulfilled most of the promises made.
The mouse that wants to have a term for more graft and corruption has never done anything
Easy choice.
I've always said I would rather have a smart businessman running the business of the country than a stupid politician.
