Hebrews 2:15 (NIV)
15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.

The topic of death has been philosophically, theologically, and scientifically debated for centuries and on back to the beginning of mankind.

Spirituality has by majority comforted the dying, gave hope for the slave, courage for the soldier, and peace for the individual. But yet even as much as we hold to by faith, it is still the greatest of unknowns for the living individual.

Christ gave us the ability to find peace and freedom with such things as death. It is simply a relocation from this world to the next. Of course we are not just spiritual beings but also emotional, logical, and physical.

We still struggle with the emotions of leaving a child, or saying goodbye to a parent, or watching a friend slip away. The logic of the aftermath that may occur once we are gone. And the physical pain that is often the factor that pushes us to let go.

The peace that comes from Christ is a supernatural peace. It isnt something we muster up but by the Spirit we are filled.

I wish I could post in detail the promises of God and the description of what is to come.

I love this scene from the movie gladiator. Because it reminds me Heaven is where our home truly is. And there will no longer be the pain, fear, and tears of sorrow. At some point in dying you hear the testimony so often that people begin to see Jesus and their loved ones.

Call it weird but I often think of that moment when entering Heaven. I often think of the angelic singing in the air. The realization I'm no longer in pain. The flood of knowledge and ability to know things that bring unestimated comfort. Seeing those I love who took the same path and explored the unknown before me. Such beauty beyond anything imaginable. And above all else get to worship God amidst the multitude, the heavenly choir, and find the perfect place where my individuality is perfectly combined within the Heavenly Kingdom.

Jesus you came to show us the way. We are followers of the way. One and only path that leads to salvation. Universalism fails within the laws of logic. Two contradicting ways cannot both lead to the same place.

This isnt elitist or bigotry but truth. All the evidence surrounding Jesus is for any intellectual too much to ignore. Romans 2 tells us those without the knowledge of Jesus was judged from within the law of morality. But for who have heard the way, you are judged by what you know. Do not ignore the calling or Holy Spirit persuading your inner thoughts. Experience the peace and freedom now by coming to Christ.
