Peace be to you

When is the last time you fed Jesus or clothed him or visited him in jail or helped him in a time of need?

I saw Jesus at a truck stop and gave him a ride and bought him some food yesterday.He told me thank you and God blessed me.

That first example is good, but the saints that had asked Jesus, when did we do this to you because it was not so obvious about feeding, clothing, or visiting in prison or when others were sick. Your second exhortation which was included in the quote above was the feeding part as in that which you do to the least of the brethen, you did it to Him.

So when one sees someone without faith or lacking faith, they are naked or getting there and so you share the Word for them to have that faith in Jesus, and thus clothed.

You see someone in prison due to religious pride as he cannot see the point of placing His hope in Christ for living the christian life as well as for eternal life so you remind him of what we were in the beginning before we were saved by Him.. sinners. Here is the hope to take eyes off of self and place on Christ Jesus to get to know Him and the power of His resurrection by trusting Him He will enable you to live as His what others failed to accomplish righteousness by their effort and by their willpower by the Law. This is why the poor in spiriit are blessed because they have come to the end of themselves in surrendering to call on God for help, not only as the Saviour, but as the Good Shepherd to lead them and guide them in the way they ought to go as in bought with a price and sealed as His to be called His sheep.

The only way anyone can be a witness of the Good News if it was done; not in the process of being done, otherwise, christianity would just be another religion of man with no real assurance as it is on man.

But it is not on man, and so may God set the prisoner free as ransomed as in not paroled.. but pardoned.

Then there are the sick.. those that sow to the flesh with the many hurtful lust thereof. We warn them of the diagnosis of death coming so that they may use the Spirit as the means to mortify the deeds of the body, so they shall live ( Romans 8:13) since they have life in God now and no need to jeopardize that relationship with God acting like the prodigal son in giving up his inheritance for wild living.

Neither the one in prison or the one sick could ever cease to be His. It is all bout realizing the relationship we have with God the Father now thanks to Jesus Christ as they would be considered the least of the brethren, but yet still the brethren, but in danger of being the least in the kingdom of God and Christ's love compels us to seek to present every believer as a chaste bride in Christ.

2 Corinthians 11: 1Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me. 2For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 3But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 4For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

2 Thessalonians 3:1Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: 2And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. 3But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. 4And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you. 5And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ. 6Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. 7For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

1 Timothy 4:1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

2 Timothy 2: 18Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. 19Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 20But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 21If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work. 22Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

So even the ones God left behind at the rapture event, He will finish.

1 Peter 5: 8Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. 10But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 11To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

So by His grace, whatever we do, even to the least of the brethren, we did it to Jesus in seeking their good in the Lord.

So when you fast Baruch,You fast from the bible?

Btw the new testament letters where written from paul to the church from prison.There is a good post on this forum called rightly dividing the word you should read it.

Lets find out if your right Baruch!
And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.

But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.

Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
