Don't beat yourself up popeye. Just being able to admit a slip up is a sign of righteousness by The Holy Spirit. The Spirit convicts us if... we listen to Him. You did.

About the five foolish virgins...

All ten virgins represent believers on our Lord Jesus. Just the fact that the five foolish did have Oil, but only in their lamps, and were among the five wise ones, reveals all were waiting in the 11th hour, for the Bridegroom came at midnight. The 11th hour in Christ's parable of the laborers of the field represents the tribulation timing. And He and His Apostles gave us metaphors to remain sober and not spiritually asleep (1 Thess.5), meaning do not be deceived in that final 11th hour just prior to His coming at midnight.

The five foolish virgins are the not only example of those whom Jesus closes the door upon:

Matt 7:21-23
21 Not every one that saith unto me, "Lord, Lord", shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father Which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, "Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in Thy name have cast out devils? and in Thy name done many wonderful works?"
23 And then will I profess unto them, "I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity."
KJV

Those definitely are about believers on Him, not the unbelieving.

So HOW did they fall to do iniquity while they said they preached Him, prophesied in His Name, cast out devils in His Name, and did many wonderful works in His Name???

I know you guys get tired of me bringing up the subject of the coming pseudo-Christ during the time of "great tribulation", but that's what that 11th hour timing is about. Remember Jesus said that false one would, if it were possible, deceive even His very elect by the great signs and wonders that coming false messiah will do on earth (Matt.24:23-26).

Many brethren are being prepared today to bow in worship to that coming pseudo-Christ by mistake, which is why Apostle Paul called it the "strong delusion" in 2 Thess.2. That is what the great falling away will be about during the coming tribulation. The majority of the world will believe that truly is God having returned. And for us, our deceived Christian leaders will be saying that is our Lord Jesus having returned.

That is the particular "iniquity" those five foolish virgins will be found guilty of when our Lord Jesus does come. I laid this concept out even with the "chaste virgin" concept by Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 11, Isaiah 54:1, and Luke 23, but some brethren here mocked it.

This will be the fate of the called leaders of God's people after Christ's return. This applies to both historical Israel, and to Christ's Church, for the Zadok mentioned later represent Christ's elect that will reign with Him and serve Him at His table:

Ezek 44:10-14
10 And the Levites that are gone away far from Me, when Israel went astray, which went astray away from Me after their idols; they shall even bear their iniquity.
11 Yet they shall be ministers in My sanctuary, having charge at the gates of the house, and ministering to the house: they shall slay the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister unto them.
12 Because they ministered unto them before their idols, and caused the house of Israel to fall into iniquity; therefore have I lifted up Mine hand against them, saith the Lord GOD, and they shall bear their iniquity.
13 And they shall not come near unto Me, to do the office of a priest unto Me, nor to come near to any of My holy things, in the most holy place: but they shall bear their shame, and their abominations which they have committed.
14 But I will make them keepers of the charge of the house, for all the service thereof, and for all that shall be done therein.
KJV

These represent the Faithful of Christ's Church in that future Millennium. The name "Zadok" means The Just:

Ezek 44:15-16
15 But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that kept the charge of My sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from Me, they shall come near to Me to minister unto Me, and they shall stand before Me to offer unto Me the fat and the blood, saith the Lord GOD:

16 They shall enter into My sanctuary, and they shall come near to My table, to minister unto Me, and they shall keep My charge.
KJV

(Don't be confused about mention of sacrifices in that future time. Our sacrifices now are our love for The Father and His Son, since Jesus became the Perfect Sacrifice for sin for one and all time.)

That is something that I am weak in, I can easily see what God sees in others I can see how beautiful they are how truly loved and adored they are to him just as they are, when they and the world see a failure a person lacking a person who is weak or unworthy all I see is rare and precious treasure who is more than worthy and who is the exact opposite of who they see themselves as and yet I cannot see myself in this way.

I find it a bit ironic that I will go to the ends of the earth for people to know and understand and experience the love God has for them who they really are to him how he sees them and yet I for some reason cannot see this in me. I have asked God to give me his eyes to look at myself so that I can see what he sees because I know in my heart when God looks at me it's opposite of what I see but I have not received such eyes yet.

And anyways none of this is about me, I am not a Christian for myself or my own will and worth I am a Christian solely for him and for all others and only out of a love such as his own. Regardless of how I see myself my eyes and heart is focused on him and all others and the love that comes from his heart alone. I ask myself all the time why am I a Christian? Why do i continue to fight and give God my all even when I keep falling over and over and over again? The answer is always the same and Jesus lived that answer
Anyone that could write that is not far from God.
I would say you are his and he is yours.

He certainly has enlarged your heart.
Bless you brother

BTW BLAIN,
FOR A PERSON YOUR AGE,you have an impressive walk and insight into the things of God.

I don't know that I have ever seen this depth in a young believer.

The only reason for that is God himself although perhaps deep passion and love for him had it's part in it but trust me all the credit goes to him:)
