This is from a book mark, that was given to all the men. I thank it was during fathers day sunday. I come across it a few days ago and wanted to share it. The front of it says God Measures The Heart, on the back it says. It really is the heart that matters, the heart of faith. If you look into the mirror to find confidence and joy, you'll find instead only imperfection. Ask yourself if Jesus has taken up residence in your heat. He completely renovates lives with his forgiveness, love, and power. Than had the verse from 1 Samuel 16:7 The Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.

Proverbs 16:2, “All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but YHWH weighs the spirit.”

Jeremiah 17:9-10, “The heart is crookeda above all, and desperately sick – who shall know it? I, יהוה, search the heart, I try the kidneys, and give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds."

Proverbs 17:3 A refining pot is for silver and a furnace for gold, But יהוה tries the hearts."

Psalm 51:10, “Create in me a pure heart, O Yah, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”

Matthew 6:21, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Proverbs 3:5-7, "Trust in יהוה with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; Know Him in all your ways, And He makes all your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear יהוה and turn away from evil.”

Also confronting the realities of a rebellious heart:

Mark 7:21-23, “For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil reasoning, adulteries, whoring, murders, thefts, greedy desires, wickedness, deceit, indecency, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these wicked matters come from within and defile a man.”

Jeremiah 5:21-24, “Hear this now, O foolish people without heart, who have eyes and see not, and who have ears and hear not: Do you not fear Me?’ declares יהוה. ‘Do you not tremble at My presence, who have placed the sand as the boundary of the sea, by an everlasting law, and it does not pass over it? Though its waves toss to and fro, they are not able; though they roar, they do not pass over it. But this people has a backsliding and rebellious heart, they have turned aside and gone away. And they do not say in their heart, “Let us now fear יהוה our Mighty One, who gives rain, both the former and the latter, in its season. He guards for us, the appointed weeks of the harvest.” (spiritual meaning; latter rain and Shabuot)

Hebrews 3:7-12, Therefore, as the Set-apart Spirit says, “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of trial in the wilderness, where your fathers tried Me, proved Me, and saw My works forty years. Therefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, ‘They always go astray in their heart, and they have not known My ways. As I swore in My wrath, ‘If they shall enter into My rest...’ Look out, brothers, lest there be in any of you a wicked heart of unbelief in falling away from the living Mighty One.”

Joel 2:12-16, “Yet even now,” declares יהוה, “turn to Me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning. And tear your heart and not your garments, and turn back to יהוה your Mighty One, for He shows favor and is compassionate, patient, and of great loving-commitment, and He shall relent concerning the calamity. Who knows – He might turn and relent, and leave a blessing behind Him, a grain offering and a drink offering for יהוה your Mighty One? Blow a shophar in Tsiyon, set apart a fast, call an assembly. Gather the people, set the assembly apart, assemble the elders, gather the children and nursing babes. Let a bridegroom come out from his room, and a bride from her dressing room.”

Revelation 19:6-9,, “And I heard as the voice of a great crowd, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunders, saying, “Halleluyah, for יהוה the Almighty Strength reigns! Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him praise, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife prepared herself. And to her it was given to be dressed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteousness of the set-apart ones. And he said to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are those who have been called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ And he said to me, “These are the true words of the Mighty One.”

Mat 22:37-40, "Yahshua said to him: You must love YHWH your Father with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. (Deut 6:5) This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. (Lev 19:18) On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

1 John 4:20, “If someone says, “I love Yah,” and hates his brother, he is a liar. For the one not loving his brother whom he has seen, how is he able to love Yah whom he has not seen?”

Psalm 145:20, "יהוה preserves all those loving Him, But all the wrong ones He destroys."

Psalms 73:25-28,, “Whom do I have in the heavens? And I have desired no one besides You on earth. My flesh and my heart shall waste away, But the Mighty One is the rock of my heart And my portion forever. For look, those who are far from You perish; You shall cut off all those Who go whoring away from You. But as for me, it is good to be near the Mighty One. I have made my refuge in the Master יהוה, To declare all Your works.”

Dawid was called "a man after His (the Most High) own heart"

why?

1 Samuel 13:14-15, “But now, your reign is not going to stand. יהוה shall seek for Himself a man after His own heart, and יהוה shall command him to be leader over His people, because you have not guarded what יהוה commanded you.”

1 Kings 9:4, “And you, if you walk before Me as your father Dawiḏ walked, in integrity of heart and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you, if you guard My laws and My right-rulings.”
