Scripture does not say Sabbath is a Jewsih day:

Hi Hizikyah,

Let have a look shall we?

CEREMONIAL SABBATHS AND COLOSSIANS 2:16
An unbiased reading of Colossians 2:16 will show that this is talking about not just "ceremonial Sabbaths." The words "ton sabbaton" or "sabbath days"; are the same words translated "Sabbath day" in Exodus 20:8 in the Septuagint (the Jewish translation of the Old Testament into Greek).

Look at Paul's reasoning, "Let no one judge you regarding a,

• festival - yearly Sabbaths,
• a new moon - monthly Sabbaths,
• or a Sabbath day - weekly Sabbaths (or if you wish Sabbath days)"
CHRIST, he goes on to say is the "Substance", these things were shadows.

When this passage is compared with Galatians 4:9 an obvious connection in Paul's teaching is revealed:

"But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how is it that you turn back again to the weak and worthless elemental things, to which you desire to be enslaved all over again? You observe days and months and seasons and years."

Verse 10 flatly states, "you observe...",

• days (weekly Sabbaths, corresponding to "Sabbath days in Col. 2)
• months (new moons, corresponding to "a new moon" in Col. 2)
• seasons (the 7 feasts, corresponding to "festivals" in Col. 2)
• and years (the sabbatical year and the 50th year of Jubilee)

Obviously Paul is clearing speaking about the observances of all Jewish holy day, including the Sabbath.

finallythis is a bible debate forum, we are to discuss SScripture and doctrin, and if someone is misusing Scripture, misunderstanding it, or if one had a differeing oipinion this forum is to discuss that. It is the Roman mind set that say "anathema" to those that disagree.

This shows a judgmental bias to make false accusations.
its a true story. i have read with my own eyes that sabbath is mandatory for salvation that is a false gospel. i dont care what u call me roman or what. but that is anathema. paul put an anathema on the false gospel. paul called it another gospel which is not another, the accursed gospel.

so u best believe im standing on the true gospel. i have dug my heels deep.

have that seat.

And I heard a voice out of the heaven saying to me, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Master from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, in order that they rest from their labors, and their works follow with them.”

what one believs this means is up to them, I have my views others have theiors, a debate does not mean condemnation, differenting voews does not mean condemnation.

I beleive in Yahshua and what He taught:

You keep posting othes opinions, have yoiu studied for yourself? Everything I post is from prayed and study. SO how are the Feast days done away when all of them are not yet fulfilled?

Luke 24:44-46, “And He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all have to be fulfilled that were written in the Law, the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me. Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, and said to them, “Thus it has been written, and so it was necessary for the Messiah to suffer and to rise again from the dead the third day.”

There are 2 "it is done" statements...
Fulfilled already
John 19:30, “So when
יהושע took the sour wine He said, “It is done!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.”

Fulfilled already- To be fulfilled in the future
1. Passover/First-fruits – Yahshua's Sacrifice(Passover), burial and resurrection (First Fruits – presenting Himself to YHWH)
2. Feast of Unleavened Bread – Removal of sin by Yahshua's perfect work as the Passover Sacrifice
3. Feast of Weeks – The blessing Holy Spirit of YHWH, coming into our lives stronger than ever

4. Feast of Trumpets – Yahshua's return and gathering of the Saints
5. Day of Atonement – Yahshua leads the army of YHWH to destroy evil rulers of this world and satan is chained for 1,000 years
6. Feast of Tabernacles – Yahshua dwells on earth for 1,000 years teaching truth and righteousness
7. The Last Great Day – satan is loosed and swiftly destroyed, the Kingdom of YHWH reigns forever

To be fulfilled in the future
Revelation 21:4-8, “And Yah shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, nor mourning, nor crying. And there shall be no more pain, for the former matters have passed away. And He who was sitting on the throne said, “See, I make all matters new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and trustworthy. And He said to me, “It is done! I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, the Beginning and the End. To the one who thirsts I shall give of the fountain of the water of life without payment. The one who overcomes shall inherit all this, and I shall be his Strength and he shall be My son. But as for the cowardly, and untrustworthy, and abominable, and murderers, and those who whore, and drug sorcerers, and idolaters, and all the false, their part is in the lake which burns with fire and sulphur, which is the second death.”

Mat 5:18, "I say to you; Unless heaven and earth passes away, one yodh; the smallest of the letters will in no way pass from the Law, until all things are perfected."

Revelation 21:1, "I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away."

Mat 22:37-40, "Yahshua said to him: You must love YHWH your Father with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. (Deut 6:5) This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. (Lev 19:18) On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

Mat 24:35, “Heaven and earth may pass away, but My teachings will not pass away.”

Luke 16:16-17, "The Law and the Prophets were until John, since that time the Kingdom of YHWH is preached, and every man is pressed to enter it. But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one yodh of the Law to fail."

Daniyl 7:25, "And he will speak great words against YHWH, and will wear out; mentally attack to cause to fall away, the saints of YHWH, and think to change times and Laws…"

Revelation 21:1-2, “And I saw a renewed heaven and a renewed earth, for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea is no more. And I, Yoḥanan, saw the set-apart city, renewed Yerushalayim, coming down out of the heaven from Yah, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.”

Ezekiel 48:35, “All around: eighteen thousand cubits. And the name of the city from that day is: יהוה is there!”

Matthew 5:17-19, “Do not think that I came to destroy the Torah or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For truly, I say to you, till the heaven and the earth pass away, one yod or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah till all be done. Whoever, then, breaks one of the least of these commands, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the reign of the heavens; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the reign of the heavens.”

Revelation 21:1, "I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away."

Mat 24:35, “Heaven and earth may pass away, but My teachings will not pass away.”

John 4:23-24, “But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and in truth; for the Father seeks just such worshipers to worship Him. YHWH is a Spirit Being; and those who worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in truth.”

1 Corinthians 10:20-21, “No, but what the nations sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to Yah, and I do not wish you to become sharers with demons. You are not able to drink the cup of the Master and the cup of demons, you are not able to partake of the table of the Master and of the table of demons.”

Mat 6:19, “Do not store up treasures for yourselves upon earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes, and where thieves do not break in and steal; For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Colossians 2 is commonly used as a witness against Yah’s Sabbaths, however, Yah’s Sabbath are 100% bout the Messiah and have origins from Yah, not the world or paganism...

Colossians 2:20, “If, then, you died with Messiah from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to it’s ordinances.”

Colossians 2:8, “See to it that no one makes a prey of you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary matters of the world, and not according to Messiah.”

Psalms 74:4, “Your adversaries have roared In the midst of Your appointments; They have set up their own signs as signs.”

Deuteronomy 12:29-32, “When YHWH your Father cuts off the nations from in front of you, and you displace them and live in their land, Be careful not to be ensnared into following them by asking about their gods (elohim), saying: How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do the same. You must not worship YHWH your Father in their way, for every abomination to YHWH, which He hates, they have done to their gods . They even burn their sons and daughters in the fire as sacrifices to their gods. Whatsoever I command you, be careful to observe and do it, you shall not add to it, nor take away from it.”

Colossians 2:16-23 is without a doubt a much debated and misunderstood passage, lets review it in context of the time frame, people who it was written about, the person who wrote it, the culture, the Law of the Most High and law of that time enforced by the religious leaders.

Colossians 2:16-23, "16 Let no one, then, judge you in eating or in drinking, or in respect of a feast, or of a new moon, or of sabbaths, 17 which are a shadow of the coming things, and the body [is] of the Christ; 18 let no one beguile you of your prize, delighting in humble-mindedness and [in] worship of the messengers, intruding into the things he hath not seen, being vainly puffed up by the mind of his flesh, 19 and not holding the head, from which all the body — through the joints and bands gathering supply, and being knit together — may increase with the increase of God. 20 If, then, ye did die with the Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances? 2 thou may not touch, nor taste, nor handle — 22 which are all for destruction with the using, after the commands and teachings of men, 23 which are, indeed, having a matter of wisdom in will-worship, and humble-mindedness, and neglecting of body — not in any honor, unto a satisfying of the flesh."

16 “Let no one, then, judge you in eating or in drinking, or in respect of a feast, or of a new moon, or of sabbaths,”

Matthew 26:26-29, “And as they were eating, יהושע took bread, and having blessed, broke and gave it to the taught ones and said, “Take, eat, this is My body. And taking the cup, and giving thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood, that of the renewed covenant, which is shed for many for the forgiveness of sins. But I say to you, I shall certainly not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on till that day when I drink it anew with you in the reign of My Father.”

For Doing or not doing? Or Both? If we look at this verse in the context of the time and culture it was written in we may have an idea. The Pharisees and Sadducees were of the ruling class religiously, socially and economically. After captive Israyl left Babylon the calendar was altered and so were the Feast Days of YHWH, so if an individual did not keep a Feast Day or Sabbath according to what the Pharisees said they could be killed. 23 vols of man made “law” were made, now called the Babylonian Talmud, this is not the Law of the Most High and is purely man made religion.

The prophet Zecharyah was killed over this very matter and Yahshua Himself mentioned the murder;

Matthew 23:34-35, “Because of this, see, I send you prophets, and wise men, and scholars of Scripture, Some of them you shall kill and impale, and some of them you shall flog in your congregations and persecute from city to city, so that on you should come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Heḇel to the blood of Zeḵaryah, son of Bereḵyah, whom you murdered between the Dwelling Place and the altar."

2 Chronicles 24:20-21, "Then the Spirit of the Most High came upon Zeḵaryah son of Yehoyaḏa the priest, who stood above the people, and said to them, “Thus said the Most High, ‘Why are you transgressing the commands of יהוה, and do not prosper? Because you have forsaken יהוה, He has forsaken you. And they conspired against him, and at the command of the sovereign they stoned him with stones in the courtyard of the House of יהוה."

The prophet Zecharyah (father of John the baptist) had a disagreement with the Pharisees about what day to keep the Day of Atonement, they commanded him to not honor it on the day YHWH said to but to rather honor the day they supplied, “the tradition of the elders”. Zecharyah chose to obey YHWH, and his body was killed because of it, and as we just read Yahshua scolded them on this matter.

And the Pharisess accused Yahshua and His disciples because they did not wash their hands before they ate:

Matthew 15:1-2, “Then there came to יהושע scribes and Pharisees from Yerushalayim, saying, Why do Your taught ones transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.”

Finally they accused Yahshua of breaking the Sabbath. He did not break the Sabbath according to YHWH, if He did He could not have been the sinless/spotless Passover Lamb, but He did break the Pharisees man made Sabbath “laws”

Matthew 12:1-8, "12:1, "At that time יהושע went through the grain fields on the Sabbath. And His taught ones were hungry, and began to pluck heads of grain, to eat."12:2, "And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to Him, “Look, Your taught ones are doing what is not right to do on the Sabbath!”"12:3, "But He said to them, “Have you not read what Dawiḏ did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him:"12:4, "how he went into the House of יהוה and ate the showbread which was not right for him to eat, nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests?"12:5, "“Or did you not read in the Torah that on the Sabbath the priests in the Set-apart Place profane the Sabbath, and are blameless?"12:6, "“But I say to you that in this place there is One greater than the Set-apart Place."12:7, "“And if you had known what this means, ‘I desire compassion and not offering,’ Hos 6:6 you would not have condemned the blameless."12:8, "“For the Son of Aḏam is Master of the Sabbath.”a Footnote: aSee also Gen 2:2-3."
They were blameless because they were doing the work and will of YHWH, that is the purpose of the Sabbath, the pharisees made it about sitting in your house twiddling your thumbs...

Mat 12:12, "And how much more valuable is a man than a sheep? Therefore, it is Lawful to do righteousness on the Sabbath."

Mark 3:4, “And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do right on the Sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.”

Isayah 58:11-14, "YHWH will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and make fat; (strengthen), your bones. You will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. And those of you will rebuild the old waste places; you will raise up the foundations of many generations; and you will be called the Repairer of the Breach, the Restorer of Streets to Dwell In; If you turn away your foot from breaking the Sabbath: from doing your pleasure; your own business, your own pleasure, on My holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight; the holy day of YHWH honorable, and will honor Him by not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor engaging in idle conversation: Then you will find your joy in YHWH; and I will cause you to ride on the high places of the earth, and feed you with the heritage of Yaaqob your father, for the mouth of YHWH has spoken it."

Hi Hizikyah,

The answer is yes.. But why reinvent the wheel as the saying goes. ;)

Lets go back and have a look at your misuse of acts.. All you have done is pulled a list of verses that say 'Sabbath' and herald these as proof that Christians are commanded to observe the 4th commandment:

Acts 13:14, “But passing through from Perge, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the congregation on the Sabbath day and sat down.”

Acts 13:27, “for those dwelling in Yerushalayim, and their rulers, because they did not know Him, nor even the voices of the Prophets which are read every Sabbath, have filled them in having judged Him.”

Acts 13:44, “And on the next Sabbath almost all the city came together to hear the Word of YHWH."

Acts 15:21, “For from ancient generations Mosheh has, in every city, those proclaiming him – being read in the congregations every Sabbath.”

Acts 16:13, “And on the Sabbath day we went outside the city by a river, where there used to be prayer. And having sat down we were speaking to the women who met there.”

Acts 17:2, “And according to his practice, Sha’ul went in unto them, and for three Sabbathswas reasoning with them from the Scriptures.”

Acts 18:4, “And he was reasoning in the congregation every Sabbath, and won over both Yehuḏim and Greeks.”

Acts 2:46

English Standard Version
And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts,

This shows that you are not interested in what scripture actually says as long as you can make it say what you want it to..

I think it would be helpful for you to understand what is going on in Acts, rather than just pulling texts out that state 'Sabbath'. Here I will help you:

EVERY MENTION OF THE SABBATH IN THE BOOK OF ACTS without a single exception is in connection with Jewish worship on that day and not Christian celebration. Paul's evangelistic strategy was to go to the Jews first in a community and share the Gospel with them. Sabbath is the day when he knew he would find the most Jews gathering for worship. He knew he would have his best opportunity of sharing the good news of the Messiah to the Jews on Sabbath. It was not because he was meeting with a group of believing Christians. He was meeting with non-Christian Jews.

Scripture does not say Sabbath is a Jewsih day:

Isaiah 56:1-7, “Thus said יהוה, “Guard right-ruling, and do righteousness, for near is My deliverance to come, and My righteousness to be revealed. Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who becomes strong in it, guarding the Sabbath lest he profane it, and guarding his hand from doing any evil. And let not the son of the gentile who has joined himself to יהוה speak, saying, ‘יהוה has certainly separated me from His people,’ nor let the eunuch say, ‘Look I am a dry tree.’ For thus said יהוה, “To the eunuchs who guard My Sabbaths, and have chosen what pleases Me, and are holding onto My covenant: to them I shall give in My house and within My walls a place and a name better than that of sons and daughters – I give them an everlasting name that is not cut off. Also the sons of the gentile who join themselves to יהוה, to serve Him, and to love the Name of יהוה, to be His servants, all who guard the Sabbath, and not profane it, and are holding onto My covenant, them I shall bring to My set-apart mountain, and let them rejoice in My house of prayer. Their ascending offerings and their sacrifices are accepted on My altar, for My house is called a house of prayer for all the peoples.”

this is fron the beginning, thuis that view is falsehood.

Romans 9:6-8, "However, it is not as though YHWH's plan had failed. For it is not everyone who is a descendant of Yisra’yl who belongs to Yisra’yl. Nor, just because they are his descendants, are they all Abraham's children; but: In Isaac will your seed be called. That is, it is not those who are the children of the flesh who are YHWH's children; but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham's seed."

Psalm 105:6-9, "O seed of Abraham His servant, You children of Yaaqob, His chosen ones! He is YHWH our Father! His judgments are in all the earth. He has remembered His covenant forever, the Law He commanded for a thousand generations; Which He made; ratified, established, with Abraham, and vowed by His oath to Isaac. He confirmed it; let it stand, to Yaaqob for a Law, and to Israyl for an everlasting covenant."

Galatians 3:27-29, “For as many of you as were immersed into Messiah have put on Messiah. There is not Yehuḏi nor Greek, there is not slave nor free, there is not male and female, for you are all one in Messiah יהושע. And if you are of Messiah, then you are seed of Aḇraham, and heirs according to promise.”

Psalm 89:26-37, "He will call out to Me; ‘You are my Father, O YHWH! You are the Rock of my salvation!’ And I will make Him My firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth. My mercy I will keep for Him forever and My covenant will stand fast withHim. And I will establish His Seed forever, and His throne will be as the days of heaven. Should His children forsake My Law, and refuse to walk in My judgments; Should they profane My statutes, and fail to keep My commandments; Then I will punish their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with lashes from the whip. Nevertheless, My lovingkindness I will not utterly withdraw from Him, nor will I ever betray My faithfulness. My covenant I will not break, nor will I change what has gone out of My lips. Once for all, I have vowed by My holiness, I cannot lie, and I say to David; His Seed will endure forever, and his throne will endure before Me like the sun. His throne will be established forever like the moon: the faithful witness in the sky."
It is clear that your blatant disregar of Isaiah 56 shows you will not accept what is written, the Sabbath was never only for Jews or a Jewish day, YHWH Himself says iot is for gentiles also.

Yes for Gentiles who became Jews in the Old Testament period. In other words under the old covenant

EVERY MENTION OF THE SABBATH IN THE BOOK OF ACTS
without a single exception is in connection with Jewish worship
on that day and not Christian celebration.
(Acts 24:14) But this I confess to you, that according to the Way, which they call
a sect, I worship the God of our fathers, believing everything laid down by the Law
and written in the Prophets,

(Acts 18:21) But bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that
cometh in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if God will. And he sailed from Ephesus.

-

Act 13:14 But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia,
and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.

Act 13:42 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles
besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.

-- here was A perfect chance to tell gentials not to follow the commandments,
but here he was teaching new gentials on the sabbath, who never before keep it.

why not tell them gentials the Sabbath was done away, not to keep it, the jews where gone

Act 13:44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together
to hear the word of God.

-why not preach to gentials the next day, why wait a whole week before speaking,
passing up the first day of the week, to preach to gentials on the next Sabbath day?

And there it is, Weak arguments always jump from one topic to the other and never deal with the bible texts given directly. Because they can't.

The very same tactics that have always been used by people who have no substance to their argument. It is their way of self preservation and half the time they are not even aware that they are doing it.

If you want to know who I am talking about, Just read your own posts and see if you actually spend time addressing the texts used against you or if you just keep bringing up other texts and points of disputation.

people have posted scripture that says the city gates were closed on the sabbath. thats why its a problem if the flight is on the sabbath. mailmandan posted it.
come on man.
Amen brother! :)

The true reason why Jesus said, "pray that your flight may not be on a Sabbath" Mt 24:20:

A. The reason Jesus said to pray that the city would not be destroyed beginning on a Sabbath day is obvious to anyone but Sabbatarians!

1. Jerusalem was a Jewish dominated town which kept 100% of the law of Moses up to 70AD.
2. The Gates of the city would be closed on the Sabbath: Neh 13:15-22
3. This would hinder the Lord's instructions to the Christians to GET OUT OF THE CITY before the Roman armies destroyed the city as Jesus said in Luke 21:20

B. Jesus lists 3 things that would hinder fleeing the city: Mt 24:15-21

1. Pregnant or Nursing mothers hindered for obvious reasons.
2. Winter would hinder because of exposure to cold and snow.
3. Sabbath day because gates of the Jewish controlled city of Jerusalem would be locked and they could not get out!

C. Sabbatarians argue that Jesus mentioned the Sabbath in order that they might not sin and break the Sabbath which Christians were required to keep:

1. This is nonsense, for Jesus showed that the life of a man was worth more than the Sabbath day!: Mk 2:27
2. Are Adventists really willing to say that Jesus excepted a man to break the Sabbath to get a farm animal out of a pit but a man could not run to save his own life on the Sabbath? Adventists really don't think through their arguments very well.
3. Jesus taught that under such circumstances such fleeing the city on the Sabbath WOULD NOT BE SIN!!!
4. Obviously then, Jesus did not have the sacredness of the day in mind when he told them to pray that their flight out of the city of Jerusalem not be on the Sabbath.

D. Jesus prophesied that the city of Jerusalem was to be destroyed in 70 AD: Lk 21:5-24

1. Lk 21:5 And while some were talking about the temple, that it was adorned with beautiful stones and votive gifts, He said, "As for these things which you are looking at, the days will come in which there will not be left one stone upon another which will not be torn down."
2. Lk 21:20 "But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then recognize that her desolation is at hand."

The true reason why Jesus said, "pray that your flight may not be on a Sabbath" Mt 24:20

Hi all,

Sorry I have been away for a bit with work and some family visiting. It looks like its been pretty busy here while I have been away. Nice to see some discussion happening. Its a shame though that there is not much discussion referring to the OP though. Anyhow no worries.

Seems from reading some posts we have those that want to spam the word of website over the Word of God? Building on SAND ONLY makes the HOUSE come tumbling down and GREAT shall be the fall there of because it is NOT built on the Solid ROCK. You can ONLY find God's truth by seeking Jesus for it through His Word.

Trusting in the words of men that break the commandments of God will keep ALL who DO NOT BELIEVE God's WORD out of God's KINGDOM

THE WARNING FROM GOD'S WORD TO KNOW IF SOMEONE IS FROM GOD OR NOT

Those who point people to the word of men over the WORD OF GOD are following in the footsteps of the the father of LIES and only repeating the FIRST LIE told in the GARDEN of EDEN..............

Let's see why....................................

Gen 3:1,
Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

Gen 3:2-3,
And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

Gen 3:4,
AND THE SERPENT SAID UNTO THE WOMEN YOU SHALL NOT SURELY DIE: <WARNING BELLS: WHAT IS BEING SAID HERE IS THAT IF YOU BREAK THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD YOU SHALL NOT SURELY DIE>

Gen 3:5,
God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Key points from scripture...........................

· The original deceiver the devil (v1)
· Eve told the serpent that God commanded them not to touch or eat the fruit lest they die (v 2-3)

· The serpent lied to Eve saying that you will not surely die if you don’t do what God asks. You will be like God knowing good and evil (v 4-5).

Putting it all together:

The fall of mankind was from the original lie (John 8:44; 1John 3:8). When God commanded mankind to follow him lest they die. The Devil’’s original lie was that you can break God’s Law and not die. The teachings of many false religions today is the same as the original lie. If God asks us to do something and you do not do it…. “Ye shall not surely die” (Gen 3:4). But God's Word says we will die if we break God's Law (Rom 6:23). Who do we follow God or man?

WARNING: ANY MAN OR WEBSITE THE SAYS YOU CAN BREAK GOD'S TEN COMMANDMENTS AND YOU SHALL NOT SURELY DIE IS ONLY REPEATING THE ORIGINAL LIE OF THE FATHER OF LIES STARTED IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN......

1 John 3
3, And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
4, Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for SIN is the transgression of the law.
5, And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
6, Whosoever abides in him SINS not: whosoever SINS hath not seen him, neither known him.
7, Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8, He that commits SIN IS OF THE DEVIL; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9, Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10, In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
11, For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
12, Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.
13, Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
14, We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abides in death.
15, Whosoever hates his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

Note: The CONTEXT of 1 John 3:21-24 is GOD’S 10 commandments defining SIN which is transgression of God’s LAW (1 John 3:4; James 2:11; Romans 7:7; Romans 3:20) CONTEXT is saying that those that BREAK God’s LAW do NOT KNOW GOD (v6) Don’t let anyone DECEIVE you because those who BREAK God’s LAW are from the DEVIL (v7-8). If you are BORN OF GOD you will NOT practice SIN (v9). NOT BREAKING God’s COMMANDMENTS is a SIGN if someone is FOLLOWING GOD or NOT FOLLOWING GOD (v10) LOVE is the fulfilling of God’s LAW (v11; Romans 13:8-10; James 2:8-12) Then it is talking about hate and MURDER (v 12-15; Exodus 20:13 the 6th Commandment)

This is a simple test above and below to know if someone is from God or not.................

Isa 8:20,
To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because THERE IS NO LIGHT IN THEM

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) and like any of the ten, if we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

There is not one scripture in ALL of God's WORD that says God's 4th commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to worship God on Sunday in it's place.

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

TIME FOR THE WORD OF WEBSITE TO COME TUMBLING DOWN :)

POST 1 (reply to the word of website)

Because ONLY God's Word is true.............

Hi Phil,

I decided to spend sometime responding to your cut and paste from the word of website and compare what was being said to scripture. You might find it interesting. As this is quite long I will need to make multiple shorter posts as it has multiple sections within your website post itself where there seems to be a lot of repetition. Anyhow here is the first post. Let's see you reply to the posts here that refute your word of website? If you can't do you know God's Word and if you do not know God's Word how can you know God's truth and not be carried about by every WIND of Doctrine? Look forward to your reply to my posts.......................

Luke 6:5 English Standard Version Anglicised (ESVUK)
5 And he said to them, “The Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath.” Sabbath keepers argue that it is the example of Jesus that gives us the reason for keeping the Sabbath. "He kept the Sabbath, so I must keep the Sabbath. Jesus is my example," they say. Well this kind of reasoning is flawed because it only chooses Jesus' Sabbath keeping and rejects the rest of His Jewish lifestyle. Jesus also kept Kosher laws. He kept the Passover, Sukkot, Hanukkah, and worshipped in the temple. Are we to follow everything He did?

Galatians 4:4-5 says that Jesus lived under the Law to redeem us from the Law.
"But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons." (NIV)
The post above shows a lack of understanding of God’s Word and what laws were nailed to the cross from the Old Covenant that where shadows pointing to the new (Col 2:14-17). The scriptures tell us it is the Mosaic laws for remission of sin written in the book that were nailed to the cross that we are no longer under. Not God’s Law which is the standard of sin and righteousness (James 2:11; Romans 7:7; Romans 3:20; 31; 1 John 3:4)

Please read the OP for more scripture linking the Old testament to the New Testament scriptures here are but a few showing the difference between the two covenant laws showing God’s Law (10 commandments) are FOREVER and the Mosaic laws for remission of SIN as being shadows pointing to Jesus.

(1) God’s Law (10 commandments to identify sin and righteousness)
Purpose; reveals what sin and righteousness (right doing) is and the describes the penalty for sin (Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4; Romans 6:23). It was never a cure for sin. But it was the work of God which is forever and the foundation of the Old Covenant, the New Covenant and the Judgement to come. (Exodus 32:16; Exodus 31:18; 31:18; Exodus 20:1-22; Deuteronomy 10:5; Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4; Romans 6:23; Hebrews 7:19; Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, James 2:10-12, 1 John 3:4, Acts 17:31; Ps 111:7-8; Revelation 12:17; 14:12; 22:14; 1 John 3:5-8; 1 John 2:3-4; Ecclesiastes 3:14)

(2) The laws of Moses (Levitical, ceremonial, sacrificial for remission and forgiveness of sin)
Purpose; was the prescriptive cure for sin with all the Levitical and ceremonial laws, burnt offerings for sin, annual feast days foretelling the plan of salvation which were connected to Feast days with New Moon sabbaths, food and drink offerings and other Holy days. These where all types pointing to Jesus and the plan of salvation and provided a cure for sin through animal sacrifice and food and drink offerings and yearly sin atonement's for God’s people. (Leviticus 1:1-13; Leviticus 23:1-44; Numbers 28:1-31; 29:1-40; Deuteronomy 24:10-11; Exodus 24:3; Deuteronomy 31:24-26; Colossians 2:16-16; Hebrews 10:1; Ephesians 2:14-15; Leviticus 4; 5; 6; Hebrews 4:14; 9;10; John 1:29; not exhaustive there are many more).

Why were the ceremonial laws of Moses (handwriting of ordinances) nailed to the cross and shadows of things to come......

Jesus was our true sacrifice for our sins and the Savior of the world that the ceremonial laws of Moses all pointed to. When Jesus came and died the old Covenant laws of Moses that pointed to Jesus and the plan of salvation was fulfilled (John 1:29; 36; Revelation 5:6; 1 Corinthians 5:6-7; Hebrews 8:2-13; 9:1-28). Jesus is our true Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world and our sacrifice for our sins. It is our sins as well as the ceremonial laws of Moses that were nailed to the cross at the death of Jesus (Colossians 2:14; Ephesians 2:15; John 3:16).

Now as the Mosaic laws for remission of sin were Shadows of things to come God’s Law is FOREVER and shown in God’s Word…….

The Law of God (10 commandments) which includes the 4th commandment is the work of God (Exodus 32:16) whatsoever God does is forever nothing can be added to it or taken away (Ecclesiastes 3:14). God's Law is perfect converting the soul (Psalms 19:7). It is the very standard of the Old and New Covenants (Exodus 20:1:17, Hebrews 8:10-12). God's Law was spoken by God himself to His people (Exodus 20:1-22). Jesus says Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away (Matthew 25:35). Gods Law is still in force today (Psalms 111:7-8, Revelation 12:17, 14:12, 22:14, 1 John 3:5-8, 1 John 2:3-4 etc.). The Law of God reveals sin to us so we can see ourselves as we truly are sinners in need of a Saviour (Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4). It is the great standard of the judgement (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, James 2:10-12, 1 John 3:4, Acts 17:31). God's Law is our teacher revealing sin and the character of God and brings us to Christ at the foot of the cross that we might be saved by faith by Him who loves us and washed us in His own blood (Galatians 3:24; Revelation 1:5).

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Only the BELIEVER and FOLLOWER of God’s Word are no longer UNDER the law of SIN and Death which is the PENALTY FOR SIN; this does not mean God’s LAW (10 commandments) have been ABOLISHED and we are now FREE to breaking it (10 commandments)

Romans 3
31, Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

The writers post also falls to pieces by its own reasoning……….
Jesus did not steal so does that mean we can now steal? Of course not…….. (Exodus 20:15)
Jesus did not commit adultery does that mean we can now commit adultery? Of course not.. (Exodus 20:14)
Jesus did not kill anyone does that mean we can now go out and kill someone? Of course not… (Exodus 20:13)
Jesus honoured his mother and father. Does that mean because we are not under the Old Covenant we are free to NOT honour our parents? Of Course not (Exodus 20:12)
Jesus did not covet. Does that mean because we are not under the Old covenant we are free to covet? (Exodus 20:17)

You get the picture………..

The same reasoning applies to ALL the Ten Commandments because as it is written;

James 2
8, If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
9, But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
10, For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
11, For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
12, So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

So there you go the first section of your post from the word of website comes tumbling down because it is not built on the rock but on sifting sand.

TIME FOR THE WORD OF WEBSITE TO COME TUMBLING DOWN :)

POST 2 (reply to the word of website)

JESUS WAS ALSO ACCUSED OF SABBATH BREAKING.
Why, if He wanted to be our "example" in Sabbath keeping didn't He make it clear that He was not breaking the Sabbath? Instead He clearly admits to it. He also admits that His disciples were breaking the Sabbath and He defends them. Read Matthew 12:1- 14 carefully. Jesus is clearly saying that His disciples are like the priests who may work in the temple every Sabbath and be innocent of breaking the Sabbath. When Jesus says that He is "Lord of the Sabbath" He is declaring that He is above the Sabbath. He may do what He wishes on the Sabbath and therefore His disciples may do whatever they wish as well.

Apparently Jesus did break the Sabbath: "Therefore some of the Pharisees were saying, "This man is not from God, because He does not keep the Sabbath."..." John 9:15.If Jesus did not want us to understand that He was breaking the Sabbath why did He not speak against these accusations. It's because Jesus had the right and the authority to break the Sabbath because He is Lord of the Sabbath. The Sabbath does not bind Him. Think about this, if it does not bind Him, are we not "in Christ"? Why would it be any more binding upon us. (Again Read Matthew 12:1-14 carefully).

One of the issues that needs to be honestly faced is the fact that Jesus never commanded anyone to keep the Sabbath and none of His apostles ever commanded anyone to keep it either. Not once in the New Testament are we told to keep the Sabbath. Those commands to the Church are conspicuously absent from the teachings of the New Testament.
Well the above is NOT true at all. In order for the animal sacrifices for remission of sin to be acceptable as a SIN offering under the Old Covenant there was a special requirement …..

Exo 12:5
Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:

Exo 29:1
And this is the thing that thou shalt do unto them to hallow them, to minister unto me in the priest's office: Take one young bullock, and two rams without blemish,

Lev 1:3
If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD.

Lev 1:10
And if his offering be of the flocks, namely, of the sheep, or of the goats, for a burnt sacrifice; he shall bring it a male without blemish.

Lev 3:1
And if his oblation be a sacrifice of peace offering, if he offer it of the herd; whether it be a male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before the LORD.

Lev 3:6
And if his offering for a sacrifice of peace offering unto the LORD be of the flock; male or female, he shall offer it without blemish.

Lev 4:3
If the priest that is anointed do sin according to the sin of the people; then let him bring for his sin, which he hath sinned, a young bullock without blemish unto the LORD for a sin offering.

There is many more scriptures but the lamb needed to be without blemish before the Lord to be acceptable as a sin offering symbolizing Jesus being innocent of sin and our perfect sacrifice. This is because God’s Law requires a perfect sacrifice free from sin to be acceptable as a sin offering as the purpose was to transfer the sin of the sinner to the innocent to take the sin in place of the person who committed the sin. I sinner cannot take the place of a sinner as they are both condemned by the law and will suffer the penalty for sin. Only the sinless one could take the place of the sinner.

Jesus did not break God’s LAW or he could not be the perfect Lamb of God without blemish..

John 1:29
29 , The next day John sees Jesus coming unto him, and says, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

1 Peter 2
21, For even hereunto were ye called: because CHRIST ALSO SUFFERED FOR US, LEAVING US AN EXAMPLE, THAT WE SHOULD FOLLOW HIS STEPS: 22, WHO DID NO SIN, neither was guile found in his mouth:

Hebrews 7
25, Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever lives to make intercession for them.
26, For such a high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
27, who need not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

What was Jesus teaching about the Sabbath……………..

The Jews had placed so many restrictions and on the Sabbath that it had become a burden to the people (context is Matt 12:2; see also Matt 12:10; Mark 2:24; 3:2-4 Luke 6:2; 7-9; 13:10-16 etc .) Then in Matt 12:10-12 in the same chapter Jesus goes on to say it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath! Jesus came to teach us how to keep the Sabbath and it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath ( Mark 3:4; Luke 6:9 ) and is why Jesus says that the Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath (Mark 2:27). This is why God’s Word says If anyone is knowingly and wilfully breaking any of the 10 commandments, includin g the 7[SUP]th[/SUP] Day Sabbath you are deceiving yourself and not obeying or following God (James 2:8-12).

What did Jesus and the Apostles teach about the Sabbath in the New Testament……….

1. It is lawful to do good on the Sabbath (Matt 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5;
Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56)
2. Jesus made the Sabbath for all mankind (Hebrews 1:2; John 1:1-3; 14; Ephesians 3:9; Colossians 1:16-17; Mark 2:27)
3. Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath (
Mark 2:28)
4. If you do not believe and follow God you cannot enter His Sabbath rest (Hebrews 4)
5. It is one of God’s 10 commandments we break it we are guilty or breaking all (James 2:8-12)
6. Breaking it is sin (
1 John 3:4)
7. God’s true followers keep it Holy as God commanded (Rev 14:12; Rev 22:14; Eze 20:20)
8. Jesus is our example and he kept the Sabbath (Matt 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56; John 2:6; Matt 16:24; 1 Cor 11:1; Eph 5:1-21; Pet 2:20-22)
9. The Apostle kept the Sabbath (Acts 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4; Rev 1:10)

So there you go the second section of your post from the word of website comes tumbling down because it is not built on the rock but on sifting sand and GREAT is the fall of it…….

POST 3 (reply to the word of website)
EVERY MENTION OF THE SABBATH IN THE BOOK OF ACTS without a single exception is in connection with Jewish worship on that day and not Christian celebration. Paul's evangelistic strategy was to go to the Jews first in a community and share the Gospel with them. Sabbath is the day when he knew he would find the most Jews gathering for worship. He knew he would have his best opportunity of sharing the good news of the Messiah to the Jews on Sabbath. It was not because he was meeting with a group of believing Christians. He was meeting with non-Christian Jews.
Well that is not true. Paul’s commission was to the gentiles not the Jews although as shown in God’s Word he reasoned with the Jews from God’s Word on the Sabbath because he was obeying God’s 4[SUP]th[/SUP] commandment according to God’s Word…..
Peter and Paul’s commission……………….

Galatians 2
7, But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;
8, For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles

The gentiles sort Paul to teach them on the Sabbath why not on Sunday?

Acts 13
42, And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath.
43, Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.
44, And the next Sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.

and again……………..

Acts 17
1, Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews:
2, And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three Sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
3, Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.
4, And some of them believed, and consorted with Paul and Silas; and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief women not a few.

Paul’s custom was to keep the Sabbath weather teaching the Gentiles or the Jews according to the 4[SUP]th[/SUP] commandment. This is the same reason he did not steal, lie, commit adultery and followed God’s Law (10 commandments) which includes the 4[SUP]th[/SUP] (Romans 3:31)

So there you go the third section of your post from the word of website comes tumbling down because it is not built on the rock but on sifting sand and GREAT is the fall of it…….

IS THE TEN COMMANDMENT LAW ETERNAL?
Of course God’s Law (10 commandments) are eternal. We will look at the scriptures shortly after we look at each section of this website’s post.
No, the Law is not eternal. Galatians 3:19 gives the purpose of the Law. It says: "What, then, was the purpose of he law? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come." The law was given 430 years after Abraham. "What I mean is this: The law, introduced 430 years later, does not set aside the covenant previously established by God and thus do away with the promise. For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on a promise; but God in his grace gave it to Abraham through a promise." Galatians 3:17-18.
The Law had a definite beginning time (430 years after Abraham) and a definite ending time, --When the promised Seed (Christ, vs. 16) came.
None of the scriptures quoted here support the websites premise that God’s Law (10 commandments) is not Eternal the scriptures simply state that both the Old Covenant laws that include God’s 10 commandments and the Mosaic laws written in the book for remission of sin all point to Jesus (the Word) and that our salvation is through FAITH and not by trying to keep the Law for salvation.

Now let’s answer the question above with God’s Word…………………

GOD’S LAW (10 commandments) ARE FOREVER

The Law of God (10 commandments) is the work of God ( Exodus 32:16 ) whatsoe ver God does is forever nothing can be added to it or taken away (Ecclesiastes 3:14). God's Law is perfect converting the soul (Psalms 19:7). It is t he very foundation of the Old and New Covenants and the Judgement to come (Exodus 20:1:17, Hebrews 8:10-12; Exodus 36:26-27; Jeremiah 31:33-34; Hebrews 10:26-28; Romans 1:29-32;2:-9;2 Corinthians 5:10; Hebrews 9:27; Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, James 2:10-12, 1 John 3:4, Acts 17:31).

God's Law was spoken by God himself to His people ( Exodus 20:1-22 ). God’s 10 commandments are the spoken word of God ( Exodus 20:1-22 ). God’s Word does not pass away ( Matthew 25:35 ). Gods Law is stil l in force today ( Psalms 111:7-8, Revelations 12:17, 14:12, 22:14, 1 John 3:5-8, 1 John 2:3-4; James 2:8-12 et c.). God’s Law r eveals sin to us and the penalty of sin so we can see ourselves as we truly are sinners in need of a Saviour ( Romans 6:23; Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4 ). It is the great standard of the judgement ( Hebrews 10:26-28; Romans 1:29-32; Romans 2:2-13; 2 Corinthians 5 :10; Hebrews 9:27; Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, James 2:10-12, 1 John 3:4, Acts 17:31 ). God's Law is our teacher revealing sin and brings us to Christ at the foot of the cross that we might be saved by faith by Him who loves us and washed us in His own blood as we have faith (Galatians 3:24; Revelations 1:5). God writes His Law in our hearts so that we become like him and we follow hi m because we love him (Hebrews 8:10-12) LOVE is the fulfilling (doing) of God's Law (Romans 13:10). This is why Jesus says to those that love him If you love me keep my commandments (John 14:15).

The Gospel can't be explained in any way when the law is taken away. Salvation has been the same from the beginning, and if the law stopped condemning us at the cross, everyone after the cross does not need a Saviour. We are freed from the condemnation of the law though Christ's free gift, (He paid the price), but that does not mean the law is gone or void. Grace does not give me the right to transgress the law and continually sin. I delight to do the Lords will because i love Him and obeying the law is Gods will.

This also includes God's 4th commandment which is the 7th Day Sabbath.

So there you go the fourth section of your post from the word of website comes tumbling down because it is not built on the rock but on sifting sand and GREAT is the fall of it…….

POST 5 (reply to the word of website)

CREATION & THE SABBATH: The Scriptures are very clear that the Sabbath of the fourth commandment was not given before Moses:The Ten Commandments was not made with the fathers. Deuteronomy 5:2-3 says "The Lord our God made a covenant with us at Horeb. The Lord did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, with all those of us alive here today." Nehemiah 9:13-14 says: "You came down on Mount Sinai; you spoke to them from heaven. You gave them regulations and laws that are just and right, and decrees and commands that are good. You made known to them your holy sabbath and gave them commands, decrees and laws through your servant Moses." (NIV).
So where is the scripture that says that the 4[SUP]th[/SUP] commandment as well as all the other 10 commandments were NOT known Before MOSES? There is NO scripture that supports the premise that God’s Law was not KNOWN before MOSES. In fact we are told that SIN is the transgression of God’s LAW (10 commandments). If God’s LAW was NOT KNOWN before God gave the 10 commandments WHY did all God’s people before the 10 commandments where given offer sacrificial SIN offerings? Now it seems very obvious according to God’s Word that SIN was known BEFORE the 10 commandments were given to God’s people at Sinai making a COVENANT is different from NOT KNOWING or KEEPING God’s Laws.…….

Offerings for remission of SIN which is the transgression of God’s Law (10 commandments)

Genesis 4

4, And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

Hebrews 11

4, By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaks.

Genesis 31

54, Then Jacob offered sacrifice upon the mount, and called his brethren to eat bread: and they did eat bread, and tarried all night in the mount.

Exodus 3

18, And they shall hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we beseech thee, three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.

Exodus 8

25 And Pharaoh called for Moses and for Aaron, and said, Go ye, sacrifice to your God in the land.

ok there is too many scriptures before Sinai and the 10 commandments were given and the Mosaic laws for remission of sin that above a only a few ………. The reason there was a covenant was that Israel had become slaves to the Egyptian’s and had largely forgotten how to worship God. This is the same as the 4[SUP]th[/SUP] commandment which was kept even before God’s Law was given in Exodus 20.

Now if the animal sacrifices for SIN offerings were carried out since ADAM and EVE it is very clear that the knowledge of good and evil; SIN and RIGHTEOUS was INDEED known because SIN is the breaking of God’s LAW …

James 2

11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.

Romans 7
7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known SIN, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

Romans 3
20, Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of SIN.

1 John 3
4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresses also the law: for SIN is the transgression of the law.

So it is very clear from the scriptures that the people of God knew about God’s Law before Sinai as there would be no need for SIN offering’s as they would NOT KNOW what SIN IS!

So there you go the fifth section of your post from the word of website comes tumbling down because it is not built on the rock but on sifting sand and GREAT is the fall of it…….

all very good but do you believe the following:

Do you agree with the statement of the SDA (Plus all the failed and false prophecies):

SATAN BEARS OUR SINS

"It was seen, also, that while the sin offering pointed to Christ as a sacrifice, and the high priest represented Christ as a mediator, the scapegoat typified Satan, the author of sin, upon whom the sins of the truly penitent will finally be placed" The Great Controversy, p. 422 (emphasis added).

"Their sins are transferred to the originator of sin" Testimonies for the Church, vol. 5, p. 475.
