Hello everybody ❤️I am an aspiring pastor and also bible student(I plan to start school again next month😊)And I’m new to this site but my schedule is quite free at the moment and I realize on this sight many people maybe going through difficult trials and are looking for some advice and maybe free spirit led bible based Christian counseling and I would love to do that for anybody and I don’t have my degree just yet but do have a passion for helping all of God’s beautiful people and mankind in general so if y’all have any questions or need advice feel free to chat with me on here now or message me later. I'd encourage you to respond to threads, particularly in the Family, Singles, and Prayer forums. Don't push too hard... just offer encouragement and biblically sound advice. People will take what registers for them in their situations.

I’m thinking of quitting my job and leaving my family to spend a year of solitude in the wilderness with God. Any advice?

It is very unwise and foolish to ask random people to PM you. We have alot of weirdos, sexual predators and scammers here. You'd be better off answering prayers in the Prayers forum. Those people can always use help. :)

Wow, first I want to say it is amazing that you love the lord so much that you want to spend such beautiful personal time with him and I know that warms his heart. ❤️

But I can’t help but think of your family and how they would feel if you were so far. Are you talking about just spending some hours each day, because if financially able I think that would be better for them. Or sometimes we don’t have to go far. Did you ever think of a beautiful neighborhood park that you could go to for a couple of hours each day? Sometimes for beautiful quiet moments with the lord he may say to get up early and have a walk with him around your neighborhood or maybe the park again what ever you feel led. Just wouldn’t want your fam to miss you too much or be hurting so I thought I’d give those suggestions. But it’s so amazing you want that time with God, just pray and let him lead you.💜🙏

And also about your job, you must also be led by the spirit. What’s so bad about the job and also do you have a plan for how you continue to get future income?

If the Christian chat administration approved it I do feel that it’s ok and plus I’m wise enoug, glory to lord, not to put to much info online and I pray everyone does the same, but I just love encouraging others, God bless.❤️🙏

All good advice. If I was single I would do just that but I know I’m needed at home. I already spend more time with Him than my schedule often permits. It was more of a test to see how you would answer. Good job. I probably would have said pack lots of bathroom tissue. Your response was better.

This is true, I like to think that people who are acting like that are on their last leg and are basically giving out a call for help. You can be there to be the one to answer the call and help them on their journey to fill the void that they are trying to fill by leading them to God.

Obviously be careful and if they don't show any interest move on, best to help those who are yearning right now, those others may come around later, at least we can only pray that they do. I'll be praying for you as you go about your mission. 🙏

1. Pack a lot of food... pizza and beer seldom grow in the woods with any regularity.

2. Take a good picture of your wife... she won't be there when you get back.

3. Don't expect God to show up, he'll probably be busy taking take of your wife and kids... a job he put YOU in charge of.

4. Give yourself a gold star for making a funny post.

I don't really like to call people negative terms either. While the internet can be helpful with a variety of questions, there is good reason for caution. Not everyone, especially online, is to be trusted. There are many people who are kind and decent. At the same time, there are those who are up to no good and prey on others.

Go to the christian family forum people need good advice there. I think its better to do that than ask people to PM you, that way you can help more people who might be going through something similar, as everyone else can read your posts.

I dont tend to PM lots of people here unless Ive got to know them really well. As for 'weirdos' well...just be careful. I do find that on christian forums most people are posting genuine problems or dilemmas and not something they are making up just to get a response.

Its better we treat people that way rather than assume they are here cos they bored and got nothing better to do.
