They have nothing to do with eachother and I'm by no means thinking about Hitler. Look up your birthday. There's bound to be a bunch of wicked stuff that happend. Or anyone's birthday for that matter.
True, but when I start typing out "Lynn" it won't take me to "Lynn418." I'm not infamous like him. lol

There are some medicinal purposes for pot. I used to sell it to hospitals years back as an anti-nausea theory for chemo patients and it worked great for some people. There are some that say it helps with some sorts of pain management - most notably in the back area.

I do believe that pot is a gateway drug for other more harmful substances - like McDonalds burger and fries ....just kidding ...well kind of........I mean for sure things like cocaine, heroin and meth that bring swift destruction.

In reality most want to use it as a mood altering substance which can be viewed as "medicinal" I suppose and I view it in a class differently somewhat then drinking wine. I don't personally use it but definitely have in my younger days. I very rarely drink wine but I am not against myself or others drinking it.

All things are lawful but I will not be brought under the subjection of anything. All things are lawful but not all things are beneficial. This could change depending on the situations.

This is one of those areas that "let each have their own faith before God" and don't let your liberty in Christ be a stumbling block to a brother. You and the Lord can work that out together.

Food can be a drug to some of us too. Anything can take over us because of the flesh.

Ab, how about this for a reason not to mess with it? It messes with the mind. That's the one purpose for getting stoned. Isn't it tough enough to deal with the mind than adding to the unreal increasing?

(I'm the old lady who talked to you on Easter on another forum, so I know what else you're dealing with.)

The way I'm thinking this one out is it's kind of like living with vertigo and then intentionally draining the inner ear of the fluids that help us keep our balance. Vertigo is already hard enough to deal with. Why try to make it worse?

There are two scriptures one can point to, just for openers:

"Be not drunk with wine...". In other words, don't subject yourself to impaired and altered mental states.

Then 1 Peter 5:8 - "Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour."

In other words, there is a connection between having an un-sober spirit...and being taken advatage of and being set upon...by the Devil. Just like the other brother here has said:
Judging from your first post on this thread, I wouldn't trust your version of "sober spirit" if my life depended on it. You're the one setting upon.

Actually when I had cancer I was prescribed marijuana and for good reason, yes it can be way over abused and you can easily lace stuff in it to mess you up but it is a natural herb that actually has many health benefits if used correctly. Studies have shown that it can help to heal and prevent cancer it can help your diabetes to work and function better it is a natural pain reliever it can be an antidepressant as well as one of the best pain relievers in fact scientists are finding more and more uses for marijuana as time goes by.

But like anything people always find a way to miss use it or over use it, yes it said to be called dope for a reason but in it's natural form and used properly scientists call it the miracle herb for a reason as well. Personally I don't like it even with the health benefits because I hate how it makes my head feel foggy and slow but if i had it my way marijuana would be legal all through out the united states simply because of all the amazing health benefits it has. I mean we have health hazards like tobacco and alcohol legal and open top buy at the stores which kills so many people all the time and yet this herb is illegal even with all the health benefits.

For the people who need it most the herb is out of reach and for the people who just want to lose their minds and lay on the floor spacing out it's not hard to get a hold of at all
