Jeremiah 20
7 O LORD, You induced me, and I was persuaded;
You are stronger than I, and have prevailed.
I am in derision daily;
Everyone mocks me.
8 For when I spoke, I cried out;
I shouted, “Violence and plunder!”
Because the word of the LORD was made to me
A reproach and a derision daily.
9 Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him,
Nor speak anymore in His name.”
But His word was in my heart like a burning fire
Shut up in my bones;
I was weary of holding it back,
And I could not.

10 For I heard many mocking:
“ Fear on every side!”
“ Report,” they say, “and we will report it!”
All my acquaintances watched for my stumbling, saying,
“ Perhaps he can be induced;
Then we will prevail against him,
And we will take our revenge on him.”
11 But the LORD is with me as a mighty, awesome One.
Therefore my persecutors will stumble, and will not prevail.
They will be greatly ashamed, for they will not prosper.
Their everlasting confusion will never be forgotten.
12 But, O LORD of hosts,
You who test the righteous,
And see the mind and heart,
Let me see Your vengeance on them;
For I have pleaded my cause before You.
13 Sing to the LORD! Praise the LORD!
For He has delivered the life of the poor
From the hand of evildoers.
14 Cursed be the day in which I was born!
Let the day not be blessed in which my mother bore me!
15 Let the man be cursed
Who brought news to my father, saying,
“ A male child has been born to you!”
Making him very glad.
16 And let that man be like the cities
Which the LORD overthrew, and did not relent;
Let him hear the cry in the morning
And the shouting at noon,
17 Because he did not kill me from the womb,
That my mother might have been my grave,
And her womb always enlarged with me.
18 Why did I come forth from the womb to see labor and sorrow,
That my days should be consumed with shame?

Just curious if anyone has ever felt the way Jeremiah felt... Like you've been mocked so much you just want to stop talking about things but you can't because it's so deep in your heart?

Any encouraging verses or things to say when you feel that way?

-Thanks all.. God bless you my brothers and sisters in Christ :).

I have.

I do not want to see the revenge of the lord upon those who mock me and persecute me. I'd rather they just stop doing it and repent.

Yes indeed I have, especially in todays apostate church, trying to explain the need for them to repent.

Yes I have felt this way, even as a young child!
But by the grace of God, I have always shared Him anyway.
I have been mocked all my life because of my faith and my love for God!
I have been beat up many times,even by my own family,all because of my faith in God.
I have been raped because of my faith,
I have had people try to kill me all because, I did not give them a word from the Lord.
I have lost places to live because of my faith,
I have had people steal from me because of my faith.
I could list so many things that were meant to destroy me, but to tell you the truth,
It has all turned out to my good!
I would not change a thing.
Each curse has been turned into a blessing!
My Faith in God is bigger than a mustard seed.

I think, I make the devil mad,
because I thank him for his help in making my faith grow.
If he would of known what he was doing,
he would of never done it,
But now, it's already finished!
For it is by the word of my testimony and by the blood of the Lamb,I have complete victory!
No longer does death have a hold on me, for love has swallowed it up, and filled me with life.
No longer am I tossed to and fro.
Eternal life lives on the inside of me, God is Love!
I AM FREE,
I AM FREE to be what God intended be to be, me!
A child of love, happy, joyous, and free.
A child in perfect peace and centered on Him!
He has become my all and all.
He is my Alpha and my Omega.
Storms may come and we know they will, but the Lord will never leave you,
He has never turned His back on me, nor has He ever denied me as His,
we go through the storms together,
sometimes I walk on water,
sometimes He holding my hand, but
One thing is for sure, is that He is always there.

The words of our Lord Jesus, from Luke 21:
But before all this, they will lay hands on you and persecute you. They will deliver you to synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name.

This will result in your being witnesses to them.
But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves.

For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.

You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death.

All men will hate you because of me.
But not a hair of your head will perish.

By standing firm you will gain life.

My words to you, Little Brother:

Those who mock you may try to beat you down, but He who is greater than all of them, will always be there to keep you lifted up.

Lean on Him!

Go with Life.

Stand FIRM.
