@Nautilus:
While the board is only a mechanical object, it is human desires and willingness that opens up the man for contact with the spiritual realm and these are infamous for that kind of use. It might be true that human movements affect the board. However, you are negating the spiritual power directing the movements just because you cannot quantitatively measure spiritual things. It is very easy to dismiss things you actually know little or nothing about. Demons are very real and active, as well as the Spirit of God, as in the times of Jesus. But I honestly doubt you even know what a spirit means, while I cast them out and people get healed and problems solved. No, I never had seisures... that is unbiblical. Your post is very generalizing and trying to tear down and dismiss anybody who dares to disagree with you. Which speaks of you more than of me.

Feel free to ignore me, I am at peace with being considered a fool for Jesus' sake since I accepted the Gospel. A natural man is not able to discern the spiritual and it is foolishness to him.

Still, small VOICE HEARD ETC. that means words. Does it say he felt the Spirit? No. Oh yes God is Lord and God not just a motivational speaker. It was God who was angry with Moses. It is God who will kill millions with plagues during the trib. I get sick of people who think God is a house cat to pet instead of the Lion of the trib of Judah. You want God to stay on the cross well He is on His throne. He already purchased you and if youre saved you said He is Lord. Cant believe He would make you do anything or ever judge you? God is God regardless of what you think. Love does not mean God relinquishes all He was and is to be on your level. Love means He is teriffying and awesome and transendent but He dies for fools who think He is just a good friend.
It does not always have to mean clear "words". What do you think repentance is? Something you do on your own? Or the works and gift of the Holy Spirit? Is that "words" or rather FEELINGS that speak to you and convict you of sin?

You keep accusing that people posting on here hold God "only as a friend, and not as God" when that is nowhere the case. Who gives you that idea? Do you have a special device to inspect the hearts of other people and know what is inside?

Many Christians see Holy Spirit the same as spiritist see wuigee board. How often have you poked our proded at Holy Spirit to spell something out or move to yes or no on your wuigee board heart? Theres nothing in the Bible to support this practice. Who said youd feel His feelings? Who said you could interpret His feelings? Who said you could present Him with choices and bother Him for an answer in your heart? "Should I go to the chevy dealer or ford dealer Holy Spirit?" And you pressure and test Him? He is God. There is a big difference in asking and inquiring verses pressuring Him like Hes just the wuigee board spirit to be conjured.
[h=1]Luke 18:1-8New International Version (NIV)[/h] [h=3]The Parable of the Persistent Widow[/h]18 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. [SUP]2 [/SUP]He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. [SUP]3 [/SUP]And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’
[SUP]4 [/SUP]“For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, [SUP]5 [/SUP]yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’”
[SUP]6 [/SUP]And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. [SUP]7 [/SUP]And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? [SUP]8 [/SUP]I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”

Good grief, ive seen more love in a snake pit with a baby in it. The point, i think, is that people know god isnt there lapdog. But am i to be considered a lapdog to help you move? Of course not. I do it not because you "demanded" but because i want to help a friend in need. Does this make sense?

I agree we dont twist Gods arm to speak ... but the reality is He actually wants to talk to His beloved. If you haven't sensed or felt God in your life ... honestly man I'd be seeking Him a bit more.

Do you realise this was posted 2 years ago?
Ya know, brother Agricola, I too often wonder why people breathe life back into old dead and buried threads. Most times I comment with only a funny meme. :rolleyes:

But as you may already know, Chancer has the awesome CC reputation of being a pretty cool dude with a serious heart for Jesus Christ. I'm sure he was more focused on encouraging someone than the date of the thread. And actually, I just realized today that at the bottom of each thread page, CC recommends titles of "Similar Threads" which we can easily click on. So... perhaps that's what Chancer did.

Still... that doesn't mean I'm going to refrain from posting funny memes when the opportunity presents itself. ;) lol

Its really testing God because we plan to base our actions on feelings we pressure from Holy Spirit. I believe He speaks in our hearts but approaching Him as though Hes feelings are on demand as though He answers to us is treating God like a butler.
Jas 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

Eph 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
