How do I get lead by the spriit?

Yes it does. Remember he gives you feelings. So it may just be a feeling that you need to hug someone. Remember you are created to be like him. He is love. Sometimes he just talks and says go hug this person.
This one lady not to long ago. The Lord told her to go hug this other lady. Well sometimes people are shy. So the lady is like I don't want to. The Lord told her again. And she went to hug the lady.
The lady burst out crying.
See we don't know what is going on all the time. But God does.
So that lady needed to talk about her problems.
And the Lord sent the other lady with a hug.
God is cool.
Its very important when you feel it is God that you obey.
Even if it is something that just plains seems silly. Like one time he told me to shake a rattle. He is looking for those who will obey him.
When they prove they can obey they are given more to do for him.

Okay, so like I was being attacked again about not having a girlfriend you know, stuff like I'll never get one. I started to freak out so I tried giving the fear to God. Then I remembered something that I think might be important. It seems like when I've asked how long it'll be till I get a girlfriend. It's like I getting an answer of that I'll have to wait till my shyness goes away. After that that I was sorta at peace and not freaking out anymore.

I think you need to daily look at yourself and the wonderful parts of you as you look in the mirror... say here's a guy who's caring, here's a guy with a heart for the Lord, here's a guy who loves God & himself, here's a guy who's ready and deserving of the love of a good woman, here's a guy who can have a girlfriend and allow her all the time she needs with her friends because he is secure in himself. Here is a guy who will never need to cling to another human being because he has God given confidence. Here is a guy who's in the prime of his life and should not waste it in insecurity. When you can look at yourself and say these phrases with conviction that is the day you are ready for a girlfriend. Say it daily even if it sounds fake to your own ears. & when the negative thought comes forward think Get behind me SATAN there's no room here for you.

I dont question that the Lord gave you comfort & told you to get rid of shy. I didn't think one could get rid of shy. Obviously I'm wrong though if thats what the Lord spoke to you. I'd start with trying to get rid of insecurity (perhaps that will lead to getting rid of shy). Stop telling yourself bad things. Start speaking to the positive in your life. Stop saying I dont... have the gifting I want in the holy spirit... stop saying... I cant get a girl... stop saying I'm not good enough.... stop spending so much time in thought about yourself and start doing. Start doing things for others & start taking care of yourself. Keep yourself showered and groomed and your clothes neat & clean cause when you feel you look put together on the outside it ups your spirits. People at work could always tell when i wasnt feeling good cause i'd come to work all dressed up and lookin smart. Another thing, Look up your street, I'm certain there is an old lady or man who could use an hour a week or something in assistance... start spending your time in outward outreach rather than inward reflection & when you have those quiet moments you speak to the Lord. Doing the lawn you can speak to the Lord, driving you can speak to the Lord. Thank God for the oportunities to assist others & in assiting others you will assist yourself. I cant wait for you to post on here that you've overcome these barriers for you truly are in the prime of your life and it would be a shame to waste them in self reflection & persecution. Love in Christ... your cybermom. (kinda how I feel aboutchya!)

When my girls were teenagers , they were very different from one another. One couldn't care less what her peers thought of her. She was surrounded by friends. The other care greatly what others thought of her and she struggled to find true friends. She eventually came to peace with who she was and now has many friends. My point is that until you are at peace with yourself, girls are going to read that insecurity as desperation and creepiness. Even if you are shy, others notice when you are secure. They won't be frightened by neediness. It's like the Biblical concept of "death of a dream". If you are at peace with yourself without having a girlfriend, you are more likely to attract a girlfriend. You are alot more likely not to take up with the first girl who gives you any attention--whether or not she is appropriate for you.
