Matthew 24:42
Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day on which your Lord will come.

For you mid tribers if you divide the 7years of tribulation then you know his return.

For the post tribers you know that the lords return is after the seven yrs.

For the pre tribers this scripture holds true so I'm curious as to how you get around this?

I believe in post trib, pre wrath.

I do not think it is possible to know the day or the hour.... but I do believe it is possible to know the season we are in if we keep watch for the signs He has given us.

Is this a puzzle?
The truth of the statement is literally we do not know which "day" the Lord will come.
If you say day is a day in a week, month, year, then just saying which day it is it true.
But it is not more mysterious than this. Even if you knew the week, you do not know
the day. So it is not really a problem, though is you interpret the sentence to mean
at some point in the future, we do not know when except specifically Jesus says we
can see the signs and the building indicators. So as we get closer it becomes more
obvious.

You seem to assume that everyone believes in the 7 year tribulation doctrine.....

I am a post tribulation rapture believer and i do not buy in to the interpretation that scripture defines a 7 year tribulation...

What is there to get around and why would someone do this? The fact is none of us know the exact time of our death unless you are intent on killing yourself. Rather than fretting about when Jesus returns it would be best to simply prepare for Him to take you to where He is.

Yeah I'm thinking the Lord wants to make dang sure we understand the time span isn't allegorical, but very precise:

All who believe our Savior will understand what is needed come the Tribulation , greatest of all time. Until then I stay away from thee subject not being given to interpret Daniel or Revelation, not spiritually yet, and never intellectually,. We hav too many super intellects passing through here all of the time.

Romans 12
3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to EVERY MAN the measure of faith.
16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
2 Timothy 2

16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

I just can't understand to what profit it is for someone in the knowing or discerning of tribulation, or rapture?
And, the spending of so much time and energy concerning it.
Are these not profane and vain babblings?

That's quite simple. Just ignore it and then publish all kinds of propaganda about Ribera, Irving, McDonald, Darby, Scofield, Ryrie, etc. being the originators/perpetrators of the pre-tribulation Rapture.

Sounds good, but that is totally misleading.

The pre-tribulation Resurrection/Rapture is a Bible doctrine. It was first given by Christ Himself. And it has tremendous significance in God's plan of salvation.

No? It has tremendous significance in the ending of this current heaven/earth age.

Your response shows that you really do not understand the Resurrection/Rapture. But there are many Scriptures which show us how significant it is for the completion or culmination of salvation.

Your close, to keep watch is to be waiting for His return. As we wait on the Lord, we are renewed in steengt and prepared to face the trouble. The Lord ashured us, "In the world you will have trouble, but be of good cheer I have overcome the world." As we count it all Joy to watch and pray, we have the Joy of the Lord as our strengt. As we are thankful in everything we live in His presence. Its nor a way around the trouble but the Grace and strengh we need through the Trouble. "Count it all joy, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jeaus concerning you." My favorite verse, if you wonder how to pray continually. Think of it as a prayer of quiet and when necesary use words. There is also thanksgiving beyond inteligble words, where your toungue moves but not necesarily making sounds. "It is good to patiently hope and wait on the Lord." In everything give thanks," keeps us focused in His presence, again no need of words, we should feel free, in His presence with thanksgiving. "If hapily we may feel after Him and find Him, since he is near to everyone of us."

The rapture of the church was a mystery that was only revealed to the world thru the Apostle Paul. The ascended Christ gave him that info, Jesus was speaking to the Jews in Matt 24.

So am I to understand that God will punish the wicked along with the righteous? I mean post tribers believe that.
Am I also to believe that we are to endure 3and one half yrs of persecution from all sides untill his return? Mid tribers believe that.
So the wrath of God that was poured out on Jesus for our sakes was and is a prelude for what we must endure in the last days?
So the holiness of Christ and Christ alone is now non exclusive since the saints also endured the wrath of God and lived to tell in the last days?
