God loves you. He may hate the way you act, think, and live, but He loves you as a person. It is good to notice how the well-known John 3:16 begins...

John 3:16,17
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Jesus did not come down and die for us to appease an angry and malicious Father. They are One. The Trinity is much tighter that some people envision it to be.

Rom 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

It's always good to hear about God's love.

Sadly since most can't argue about it, this thread will soon be lost.

He loved me enough that He gave me the chance to repent of my old life and come to Him before it was too late.

He loved me enough that He gave His own sacrifice for my sins, that I could be redeemed and not die in my sins.

He loved me enough that, despite rebelling against Him and claiming that He was wrong and I was right, He helped me see my errors and has given me life.

He is a loving creator, and I am glad that He has saved me from myself. I wish that everyone could see what He has done for us.

ROMANS 5: 6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

God loves the entire human race.. He established a plan through his son death that all people in the world can come to him. Problem is, many people will reject his plan of salvation through Christ and choose the broad path of destruction.

God is not mad at any person, II corinthians 5: 17-21 reveals this. There is a wrath to come, but it will only fall on those who totally reject the Father after having a complete revelation of who he is!!

Everyone can quote John 3: 16, but have they read verses 17-21??

God has done his part, its is men who mess up and reject the love of God. In saying this, the Church has a huge responsibility to represent Christ well so the World can see Christ in you!

He loves perfectly. Perfect endurance of our shortcomings - perfect kindness - perfect forgiveness - perfect patience - perfect long-suffering - perfect non-keeper of wrongs - and all the characteristics that defines love.

He loves unconditionally. He loves with compassion. He loves with gentleness. He loves sacrificially.

How could I not love him in response?

What's interesting about 3:17 is how it explains that all men are condemned already, Christ didn't have to come to condemn them. This verse is interesting, God loves the world in that Christ died for the world, but He demonstrates His own love toward us, in the same act. Verse 5 "Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us."

There are many verses like this, when it comes to the application of God's love it's always toward the Church/called/elect/sons, God loves the world, but He has a special love for us the Church/body. He loves the world in that His desire is that all men be saved. Some translations have desire as, wants, wishes,
would have, longs and "for his purpose is that all men should be saved and come to realise the truth." Phillips Translation

Of course we know that all men do not get saved, that by not means
diminishes the power of God to save, because men re condemned already.

If we really want to see the nature of the love of the Father - the story of what we call the prodigal son which should be really called "The loving Father" is where we can look.

The Father didn't blast the prodigal son for what he had done. He ignored what he was saying and instead brought a ring for his finger, a robe for him and shoes for his feet. All these are signifying son-ship as if nothing had ever happened. The Father was also the same way and didn't condemn the older judgmental brother who didn't know the Father's heart as well.

He loves, because...well he does! Nothing about me, from me, or in me influenced his love toward me. He does hate sinners, a cannot deny that, but he can also love sinners and that is through Christ. :)

You know I often times wonder myself how God feels about me like what does see when looks at me what is he thinking about me right at this moment? But then when i think of others i can see and know exactly how he feels about them. You know i find it amazing that he know and see even the darkest and most vile and evil of things in even the most blood stained souls and yet he loves them just as much as a child who loves and adores them.

This is why i am conflicted in a way, how often i hear people say God saved a wretch like me and it's strange because the second i hear them call themselves that even before they are saved i feel a bit infuriated because even if they had slaughtered 100 innocent people this was never what i saw in them they were never a wretch in my eyes and i will not allow them to call themselves such a thing.
I don't know if i am in the right feeling this way but all i know is that this is what my heart says

I think we all realize God has a love for all people. All people come into this earth In Adam and God through his son has made the way to correct the Error Adam and Eve plunged the people of the World into. He has made the way because he loved his Man creation who he created in his image. Though they rebelled and heeded the Voice of Satan in the Garden, his original plan was for all men to be in fellowship with him. That plan stands today.

God hates sin because it destroys people. God loves the sinner or better put, those separated from God due to Adams sin. If this was not so, you and I would never have had the chance to approach God. People forget that God loved Cain and was right there when he murdered Able, yet he still Loved Cain. He allowed Cain to choose wrongly!

God is Love and his character will never change. Yes, I know there is a wrath to come, but that is a side of Love that people do not fully understand. In his Love, he hates the things or people who would destroy mankind. For example, if I walked out side and saw someone trying to hurt a family member in Love I would do all I could to protect and save them from the one who would do them harm to include ending their life. Ending their life would not be my first choice, but if they continued to pursue harm, in my Love for my family I would stop their actions.

God is the same way and the world needs to know they can be saved from the wrath to come by simply accepting the Love of the Father. God will Love them all the way to the White Throne Judgement, but then in his just judgement he will allow them to be forever separated from him due to their rejection of his Love.

You would not be the first.... but regardless his love for you is without limit. he loves you more than his own throne and believe me if you saw his throne then the words i just said would leave you in a baffled stated of shock you would not be able speak or even move because the thought of him loving loving you more than this own throne would be to much for you to understand.

his love is deeper and more astonishing than you know

God loves you & desires for no one to perish. However he isn't going to force you or anyone to be with him for eternity. Everyone who is separated from God will be casted into the pit.

I suppose it could be any number of emotions, but none are against me. He is for me, whether that feeling be disappointment or grievance, His intent is to encourage, uplift, and exhort me into the person He has made me to be. Where I feel I have fallen short, He reminds me that He sanctifies me. So, how does He feel about me? Certain. He knows where He is taking me, and He knows that is my desire.

PS: I guess He loves me too. haha ;)

Jesus is Risen; that makes every day Easter. Now that's love!
