I agree with this, if I understand you correctly. Under the new law of grace, through the blood of Jesus, each person can decide to join God's people.

Seabass,

I will save you a lot of time, Svadbygrace's only reply is, 'evaded'. If you would look at his threads, about 95% of his replies are saying that his points were evaded.
Yes, I have dealt with savdbygrace on other forums. He is evading the point that his theology puts all fault and blame upon God. When he gets cornered with his Calvinistic theology, he often times just posts the same thing over and over to avoid dealing with the issues.

No Condemnation in Christ Jesus period !

Rom 8:1

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2 Tim 1:9

9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

Now many today fail to understand this blessed Truth, and they claim million upon millions [for whom Christ died] are condemned who are in Christ Jesus, for they foolishly think that walking after the Spirit is a condition the sinner must fulfill for them to be in Christ and not condemned !

However the fact of the matter is that the only conditions need for a sinner to be in Christ and not condemned, is that #1 That they were in Christ Jesus before the world began, and that Christ died for them. No one that Christ died for is condemned, even while they are yet enemies, and before they believe, for they are in Christ Jesus before they believe.

Now another way and reason why its known that they are not condemned before they believe, by the Gospel of Reconciliation whereby its Preached 2 Cor 5:19

19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

19 It was God [personally present] in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, not counting up and holding against [men] their trespasses [but cancelling them], and committing to us the message of reconciliation (of the restoration to favor).

So by their sins not being counted against them [even before they believe], there could not have been no condemnation against them before God's Law and Justice, all has been cancelled, so they had it [non imputation] before they believed, and so they were not already condemned before they believed as those are here Jn 3:18

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

You see if they were condemned already before they believed, then sin was charged unto them and the Word of Reconciliation would be a Lie 2 Cor 5:19 !

So there is never any condemnation to those in Christ Jesus, before or after they believe Jn 5:24

24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.855

deadly deception !

One of the fundamental errors of false Christianity , even amongst that which is labeled Calvinism, and why I separate from them also is this, they make faith and or the act of believing, the cause of Justification before God, so they teach that even though Christ has died for one, and satisfied Law and Justice completely in behalf of one, yet they without faith or the act of believing done by the creature, they are still not in a Justified state before God, and that they shall not be so until their act of faith or believing, and it is upon the creatures act of believing that they enter into a Justified state before God, which is a deadly false teaching, contrary to the Truth, because the Resurrection of Christ is proof positive, that all for whom Christ died, bare their offences, that upon His Resurrection they are declared to be in a Justified state before God Rom 4:25

25 Who was delivered for[because of] our offences, and was raised again for [because of]our justification.

So these blind teachers have made the creatures act of believing to be responsible for their Justification before God's Law and Justice, instead of Christ's Work alone !

Now this deadly deception is very subtle and inconspicuous. So here how it is, the false believer believes his act of faith makes him Righteous before God, the True Believer believes that the object of His Faith [Christ] makes or made him Righteous / Justified before God !856

With the Heart man believeth unto Righteousness !

Rom 10:9-10

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Many in false religion have hijacked this verse and passage to mean and teach that the unregenerate man or woman in the flesh, can somehow with a spiritually wicked heart , a darkened understanding, can believeth unto Righteousness;

But the heart here means also the mind by which we think, feel, will, understand, its the whole soul and inner man, which man in the flesh, unregenerate cannot please God with any of thatRom 8:7-8

7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God,neither indeed can be or cannot be.

8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

And since the believing with the Heart is an act of Faith which pleases God Heb 11:6, and those in the flesh cannot please God Rom 8:8, then those in Rom 10:9-10 that believeth unto Righteousness cannot possibly be those in the flesh, unregenerate, its not even possible !857

For it would be Unjust of God ?

For it would be Unjust of God to punish anyone Christ died for, for any sin whatsoever, and if any of them die in unbelief and in their sins as those projected in Jn 8:24, and yet Christ has already died for them, God would be unjust and can be charged with double jeopardy, here's why its so !

Because in Christ their Head, they have fulfilled the Law of God , they have kept all of its most Holy Precepts, and in Him they have all been Eternally Punished already for all their trespasses, be it past, present and future, and forgiven of them all Col 2:13

13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

They were raised up together with Christ from the dead, after He had been delivered for their offences, and that raising up was because of their Justification from all their sins Rom 4:25 !

And those sins are never laid to their charge 2 Cor 5:19

19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

God forgave them all because in Christ their Head they were all punished. Even if one for whom He died does not come to faith [because unbelief is the penalty of sin and death] and they remain in unbelief and die in their sins, then God is Unjust, because again, unbelief is nothing but part of the Spiritual consequences of sin and death, but once the consequences of sin and death hath for that sinner been settled by the death and blood of Christ, God MUST give them Faith to believe because His Righteousness and Justice is at stake, so all for whom Christ died do obtain Faith through the Righteousness of God 2 Pet 1:1

Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

That word righteousness in the greek is dikaiosuné and means:

justice, justness, righteousness

One Translation reads:

From Simon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ.

To those who received a faith equal to ours through the justice of our God and savior Jesus Christ. CEB

God doing what is Just and Right because of Christ their Savior satisfying for them all His Law and Justice, So giving them Faith in Him, to believe on Him because of what He hath done for them is Just Rom 3:26

To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

In other words, those who come to Faith in Jesus is a testimony to God's Righteousness and Justness in Justifying them for the sake of Jesus !860

I was of the opinion that free will is an illusion. God will destroy any who use there free will to do what they want to.
How then is this free will. Its either his way or death?.

please reply open to anyone
Free will is for one to see their own selfishness in harming others and know they need to be freed from this evil behavior. To begin with I never asked, did you ask to be born of this meanness to able to hate others? And yet everyone born of flesh has this potential and are born dead to the Spirit of Father's amazing Love to all
So since God the creator the Father of Christ showed all Mercy through Son has sent out invitations to come to the wedding feast and join each other with four foot forks, to feed each other, that is what it is all about Brother in a short nutshell
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

There is a lot to learn ask and tell, and I do not know it all, once you do beleive though, you trust and have a direct connection, to the love of Father beyond measure. Take a look at thread "love beyond measure" that might be a big help in your start to walk by Faith in Christ and not man
Ask Father for this Mercy seek to receive and see, and find it is by Faith (trust) in God's real love not man's fake that I am sure you have experienced

Jeremiah 18:7-10 "The instant I speak concerning a nation, to pluck up, to pull down, and to destroy it, if that nation against whom I have spoken turns from its evil, I will relent of the disaster that I thought to bring upon it. And the instant I speak concerning a nation and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it, and if it does evil in My sight so that it does not obey My voice, then I will relent concerning the good with which I said I would benefit it."

Clearly denotes "choice"...................Choice denotes one being free to choose........One being free to make a choice denotes "free will."

...........sigh.........

For it would be Unjust of God ? 2

Because of what all Jesus Christ suffered on behalf of those He died and federally represented, God is Just in giving them Faith in the One who is their Saviour, who died for them, and so Pauk writes to the Philippian believers, though it does not just apply to them, this Phil 1:29

29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

This is a Just move and giving on behalf of Christ, to be given to believe on Him as well as suffer for Him.

Now listen, if one teaches or believes, that even though Christ died for one, if they do not come to faith, its their own fault ! But that is ever so false, for if they do not believe its God's Fault, Because unbelief is the consequence of being in a Spiritual dead and lost state, and under the power of the devil the god of this world 2 Cor 4:3-4

3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

That's why these believe not Jn 8:24

I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

So if one believes not the Gospel they are in a spiritually dead and LOST state, their not believing is due to the Gospel being hid and satan blinding their minds !

This would make God at fault [if Christ died for them] for not applying unto them Spiritual life, New Birth, as a consequence of Christ's for them satisfying His Law and Justice on their behalf, taking away the penalty of sin which is death Rom 6:23; Now if Christ's death truly did that, then Spiritual Life is owed them, it is due them as debt from God the Father to the Son so its no way around it, and when its all said and done, the confirmation on who Christ died for shall be manifested by their Spiritual life given Faith that believes on Him, Believing on Christ for Salvation is the Evidence of Christ having died for them, Jn 3:16

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.861

Seems that some are leaning and I mean tower of Pisa leaning to their own understanding. If we who call ourselves mature pervert our own doctrines of Christ then are we ourselves not guilty? When you throw out scripture references to prove a point make sure that can stand alone and prove that point or its all useless banter that ushers in confusion and we all should remember what comes with confusion. Let me be clear. Making a valid point is a great tool only when it is scripturally sound. All this back and fort with scripture still hasn't proven anything I as a believer can use other than some serious teaching is still needed in the body of Christ. Just a few thoughts.

In life it has been said that spectacular achievement is preceded by unspectacular preparation in our Jesus character, if true then wisdom is the quality that keeps us from getting into situations that show our real Jesusless character. Bishop T.E.Carr

Apart from pointing the defects of others, how well do those people live who claim other Christians are sinning?
world would see mass revival if people stopped condemnation preaching and cared...

How many hours a day do you Pray for lost and weak minded?
Is that perverting God's Justice?
Galatians 6 KJV read please..do you fit in to that?

As a teacher it is my duty to pray and intercede daily for my brothers and sisters all around the world! Praying for all who are in the household of faith no matter their maturuty level
Here are my thoughts. Why is it sinful to misinterpret the Bible? Misinterpretation of the Bible is sinful because it proceeds not merely from our limitation as finite human beings, but especially from the corruption of our hearts and darkening of our minds leaning to our own understanding seeking our own thoughts above God. We should realize that erroroneous thinking and at least be willing to admit we don't know it all, deception and lies are noted as being the opposite of truth, is sinful in itself. It is because of people's sinful hearts and darkened minds that they misinterpret God's Word. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Tim. 2.15
A few thoughts on perverting the word of God for whatever reason. The sins forbidden in the third commandment are, the not using of God's name as is required;[1] and the abuse of it in an ignorant,[2] vain,[3] irreverent, profane,[4] superstitious,[5] or wicked mentioning, or otherwise using his titles, attributes,[6] ordinances,[7] or works,[8] by blasphemy,[9] perjury;[10] all sinful cursings,[11] oaths,[12] vows,[13] and lots;[14] violating of our oaths and vows, if lawful;[15] and fulfilling them, if of things unlawful;[16] murmuring and quarreling at,[17] curious prying into,[18] and misapplying of God's decrees [19] and providences;[20] misinterpreting,[21] misapplying,[22] or any way perverting the word, or any part of it,[23] to profane jests,[24] curious or unprofitable Questions,[25] vain janglings, or the maintaining of false doctrines;[26] abusing it, the creatures, or anything contained under the name of God, to charms,[27] or sinful lusts and practices;[28] the maligning,[29] scorning,[30] reviling,[31] or any wise opposing of God's truth, grace, and ways;[32] making profession of religion in hypocrisy, or for sinister ends;[33] being ashamed of it,[34] or a shame to it, by unconformable,[35] unwise,[36] unfruitful,[37] and offensive walking,[38] or backsliding from it.[39] Lying cheating or any other such acts.

The Lamb of God taketh away the sin of the world

Jn 1:29

29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world !

Now the world here by false teachers testimony is supposedly all mankind without exception, that is every single person from first to last, however that is a false and deceptive testimony, and we know this not to be true because many shall yet die in unbelief and in their sins Jn 8:24

24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

So its obvious that their sins were not taken away y the Lmb of God here described in our text; for yet its a very particular and distinct world as Jn 6:33

33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

In the greek the word giveth is in the present tense, denoting a continual giving of Life to this particular world in view, and this is Spiritual and Eternal Life meant !

Its the World of God's Elect, the Gentile Church, Jn 3:16 or its the World of God's Elect which includes Gentiles opposed to just jews !

Now this Lamb of God here that John the Baptist points out, was antitypical of the lambs that were specifically for national Israel, but this Lamb had People to expiate for, not among the jews only, but also among the Gentiles.

Now John is writing of the same blessed Truth here 1 Jn 3:5

5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

Please note here in this verse sins [plural] is used verses sin [singular] in Jn 1:29,

So those who shall yet hear the dreadful words Matt 7:23

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Obviously they were not of that World that hath their sins taken away, they had no part of that world; Neither does these Rev 18:4-5

4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

How hath God remembered her sins and iniquities, if His Lamb sacrificed for them hath taken them away, and they most certainly could not be of those the Covenant Blood of Christ was shed for since for them it is written Heb 8:12

12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

And so those whom sins the Lamb of God taketh away, God remembers them no more, agreeable to the Faith of God's Elect here Ps 103:12

12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

This mainly speaks of Justification and acquittal of them all before His Law and Justice through the Blood of the Lamb !862

The Lamb of God taketh away the sin of the world 2

Now also those whom God hath through the Lamb of God hath taken away their sins, accomplished with that, is a taking away of their ungodliness Rom 11:26-27

26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer [The Lamb of God], and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. Through the Lamb of God Jn 1:29, 1 Jn 3:5 !

And so those who have their sins taken away additionally and correspondingly and consequentlythey also have the wages / penalty of sin taken away.

Now proof of this is seen here Eph 1:7

7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Forgiveness also implies the releasing from a debt of obligation, its the word aphesis:

a sending away, a letting go, a release, pardon, complete forgiveness.

áphesis (from 863 /aphíēmi, "send away, forgive" ) – properly, "something sent away"; i.e. remission ("forgiveness"), releasing someone from obligation or debt.

forgiveness, pardon, of sins (properly, the letting them go, as if they had not been committed (see at length Trench, § xxxiii.)), remission of their penalty

Do you see that ? This is huge ! This applies to those of the World of Jn 1:29, it has to God's Justice demands it for Christ's Sake !

Heb 9:12 is very enlightening here Heb 9:12

12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

The word redemption here lutrósis:

redemption from the penalty of sin

Again, this is huge and extremely significant in understanding the consequences of Jn 1:29 of that World whose sins are taken away by the Lamb of God !

The world there is legally saved from all of its sin, and penalty free ! And we know this cannot apply to all without exception !863

The Lamb of God taketh away the sin of the world 3

When te Lamb of God taketh away the sin of the world Jn 1:29, He taketh away the penalty thereof, because He hath on their behalf endured it completely, for the whole world of them, hence the devils power over that world has been destroyed as Per God's Purpose through it 1 Jn 3:8,5

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Vs 5 gives us another reason why He was manifested

And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

So taking away their sins and destroying the works of the devil are sure consequences, results of the Death of Christ.

The penalty has been paid and absolved , the curse is done away with, so not one of them of that World Jn 1:29 should ever hear these frightful words Matt 25:41

41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Not one of them can be cursed ones coud have been included in that World of Jn 1:29 !

But listen, that's not all, not only does the Lamb of God take away the Penalty of sin, for that has for sure been accomplished, but also the taking away of their ungodliness, their disobedience and rebellion, which are fruits of the wages of death, hath been accomplished tooRom 11:26-27

26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

One version renders is :

26 In this way, all Israel will be saved, as it is written:

The deliverer will come from Zion.
He will remove ungodly behavior from Jacob. CEB

This is also what Peter meant here Acts 3:25-26

25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

Yes, a necessary consequence of The Lamb of God taking away the sin of the World Jn 1:29, for everyone of that world, in whatever part of world history they lived in, shall experience the blessing of being turned from their iniquities !864

The Lamb of God taketh away the sin of the world 4

You see part of the consequences of sin and death as the penalty of sin, was for God to imprison, confine His People in Unbelief or disobedience Rom 11:32

32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

That word concluded means to imprison, lock up, enclose in , shut up in unbelief or disobedience. The word unbelief is apeitheia:

I.obstinacy, obstinate opposition to the divine will

Its rendered disobedience here Eph 5:6

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience

It could be rendered the children of unbelief !

So part of the consequences of sin, by the Divine Judgment, is to imprison His People into unbelief, obstinacy, opposition to His Divine Will !

But since their sins are taken away, its penalty is taken away, this too, to be consistent with Justice must be taken away.

Again, the very important point being made here, when our sins are taken away as pointed for the world of Jn 1:29, then to follow is the taking away of ungodliness, unbelief, opposition to the Divine Will, and we know that this does not happen to and for all people without exception, for we have scriptures like this to evidence it Rom 2:4-8

4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,

2 Thess 1:8

In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

And that's why Jesus instructed His Messengers to Preach not only remission of sins [ the penalty] but Repentance [a turning from ungodliness], for He that gives by Grace the Remission of sins to His People, accompanied with is Repentance from ungodliness Acts 5:31

31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

Acts 11:18

18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

Acts 3:25-26

25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

This is the Gospel Message of Grace to be preached to all nations Lk 24:46-47

46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Not to just jews but to all nations See Acts 11:18 !

Everyone in the World of Jn 1:29 this is applied to by the Spirit and Grace of God !865

The Lamb of God taketh away the sin of the world 5

Now why did John write that He taketh away the sin of the world, and not sins ? A couple of reasons, for one because it was one sin committed that was the inlet to all other sins, the mother sin so to speak, to all other sins in the world, for Paul writes Rom 5:15-16

15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

Vs 15 the One offence, set in motion the many offences of the many, for if you chop a tree down at its root, it destroys all of its fruit and branches, for that ne offence is mainly responsible for all other offences, So the Lamb of God taketh away the sin of the world that caused it all, and its fruit, the sins of all Adam's race in him when he sinned against God, as their natural and federal covenant head, so the word sin here in Jn 1:29

29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Its all comprehensive. Then again, sometimes the bible uses the singular for the plural as in here it is written Isa 53:12

12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Note it is written He bare the sin [singular] of many ! Now compare Heb 9:28

28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Here its " offered to bear the sins [plural] of many, and yet both places are referring to the one and same event of Christ !

The World of Jn 1:29 as a result of that One Offering of the Lamb of God, is totally free from any sin charged to it, Justified from it all !866
