Holding on to our faith in God is very hard, but some of us will be letting go; but the true ones will carry it to the end.

1 Timothy 1:19 holding on to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and so have suffered shipwreck with regard to the faith.

Matthew 10:22 You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.

there are A LOT OF TESTS in GOD'S WORD, the purpose clearly stated, how to know,

both for one's own salvation (worked out with fear and trembling, so to speak as it is written),

and for those near us (check one another daily while there is still light to keep from falling into the deception

of sin)...... realize that most people never pass the tests ..... and they won't ever pass the tests unless

they seek Yahweh

and keep on seeking Him with all their heart and soul and mind and strength as it says in the Bible.

as the apostles say - it is no trouble to keep repeating, but is a safeguard for all..... (who believe)

1 John 1:7-9
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

YESIREE!!

4enlightment,
you are indeed a rare individual, for most who claim that they belong to Christ,
and serve Him always in their very core, care most and foremost about how
the world, their friends, and their selves describe their personal relationship,
instead of how their Heavenly Father sees them.

Holding on to our faith in God is very hard ...
That's why we don't have to hold on to it. Christ makes us stand, the Holy Spirit seals us for our day of redemption. We can't hold on to salvation, but fortunately, God's plan is not for us to have to do so.

I am assured in John 10:27-30 that as His sheep I not only hear His voice, but I am firmly clasped in His hand and in the Hand of the Father, and no one, not even me -- not that I would want to -- can snatch me out. So yes, I walk in His light, and I try to do as He has commanded, to shine it into the darkness to lead all who will come to Him.

Walking in the light is a walk of faith and we do it step by step and thought by thought. We hide the word in our heart because the entrance of it gives us light and understanding. Today, when we wake up, is the day the Lord has made, we are to rejoice and be glad in it. That is walking in the light. When we are faced with a situation and we need to do something, the Holy Spirit comes in and the reminds us to be anxious for nothing, so we fret not and trust God for the situation and we rest. That is walking in the light. Our life is put in adversity and we do not understand why and that still small voice says within, 'lean not to your own understanding and trust me' and we do so. That is walking in the light as he is in the light and when we walk in the light we see the light (Ps 36:9). Our brother sins against us and he comes to us and repents and we forgive him. That is walking in the light. We are only responsible and can only walk in the light that we have received from God and when we walk in that light we are not walking in darkness. We are children of the day and not of the night (1 Thes 5:5). Just some thoughts to consider.

this is so totally contrary to what Scripture/ Torah/ God's WORD and YAHSHUA SAY OVER AND OVER through the OT and the NT that I
have trouble believing you even said it..... hopefully you mean something quite different than this.... ? >

Jesus said to me one day through the scriptures: "You are the light of the world". (Matt. 5:14). Now I know that He was talking to His disciples, but I have chosen to be His follower too. I have given my life to Him.

So, yes, I am walking in His light - and I AM His light in the world. By faith! And by His word.

Isaiah 50:10
Who among you fears the LORD and obeys the voice of his servant? Let him who walks in darkness and has no light trust in the name of the LORD and rely on his God.

I know that I...who am less than 30 min old...don't know my eternal name yet...am not male or female...and have one Father and one family which is not divided...do truly walk in such light...love...holiness...and righteousness.

What I find difficult to understand is how so many professing the same like to ignore and do nothing about scriptures such as...

Ephesians 2:11-13King James Version (KJV)

11*Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

12*That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

13*But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

Acts 4:31-33King James Version (KJV)

31*And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

32*And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

33*And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

2 Corinthians 8:7-9King James Version (KJV)

7*Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.

8*I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.

9*For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

Just an encouragement to walk the walk...not judging.

Amen and sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise which is the pre-payment of our eternal inheritance.....

Thank God for the security of the believer and eternal/everlasting life that is found in Jesus....Ecclesiastes 3...I know that WHATSOEVER GOD does it is ETERNAL...nothing added and nothing taken away and he does it this way that men should fear before HIM......

Whatsoever means exactly that...what ever it is he does...including salvation........!

I SHALL HOLD UP THE LAMP -
I SHALL LET MY LIGHT SHINE -
WE ARE BEING REFINED FOR
HIS GREAT COMMISION.
1 Pet 2:9 "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:"

Men are called to the light. No point in calling men to the light if he cannot respond to that call.

Jn 3:21 "But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God."

Men respond to the call by doing truth thereby come to the light. One must conditionally continue to do truth, obey Christ's words, in order to continue to come to the light. The light does not come to men but men must choose to come to the light by choosing to obey.

Jn 8:12 "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."

One must conditionally continue to follow Christ to not walk in darkness.

Eph 5:8 "For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:"

One must walk/live an obedient life to be of light.

1 Jn 1:7 "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."

The Christian must conditionally continue to walk in the light to conditionally have all his sin continually cleansed away.

1 Jn 2:10 "He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him."

The Christian must continually, conditionally love his brother to conditionally, continually to abide in the light.

Jeff_56,

your statement to us is perplexing?
if you would like to take it a 'step-further',
please, share some examples with us, for
my wife and I are always open for profitable
discussion.

the ekklesia care first and foremost in all things for what the Father says, does, and sees (how ABBA sees us and all things)...... not for what men, friends or relatives think.

we can only 'agree' with others if they agree with Yahweh. (so, yes, we have to experientially know Him daily, and closely -- literally abiding in Him in Christ Jesus and His Word abiding in us)

......for most who claim that they belong to Christ,
and serve Him always in their very core,

care most and foremost about how
the world, their friends, and their selves describe their personal relationship,

instead of how their Heavenly Father sees them.
