“If all the world were Christian, it might not matter if all the world were uneducated. But, as it is, a cultural life will exist outside the Church whether it exists inside or not. To be ignorant and simple now — not to be able to meet the enemies on their own ground — would be to throw down our weapons, and to betray our uneducated brethren who have, under God, no defense but us against the intellectual attacks of the heathen. Good philosophy must exist, if for no other reason, because bad philosophy needs to be answered. The cool intellect must work not only against cool intellect on the other side, but against the muddy heathen mysticisms which deny intellect altogether.

Bad philosophical practices can be the difference between logic and illogical conclusions. Reason to unreasonable.

A Christian shouldn't fear criticism or opposing beliefs. The Christian worldview best explains reality. This is an absolute truth claim. We can make this claim because reality compliments the Christian worldview better than any other. Or in other words the evidence far exceeds for Christianity than any other worldview.

For preachers of truth we have to equally hunger for what is true. We have to harbor the need for truth in all things. To speak falsely in one area in life, can inhibit or hurt your credibility when speaking about Biblical truths.

TRUTH WILL ULTIMATELY PREVAIL WHERE THERE IS PAINS TO BRING IT TO LIGHT. – GEORGE WASHINGTON

This time within the story of mankind is such a delicate but ripe time within the flipped proverbial hour glass. Defending truth involves knowing truth. Knowing truth involves a lot of work. It can be exhausting or even aggravating but by suffering through it, you will find great blessings in your obedience.

2 Timothy 2:15 (NIV)
15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

This is the call to the believer. To correctly handle the Word of truth. We do this by practicing it in all things within our life as the Word of truth speaks into all things.
