The answer to the question is one word. CONSTATINE.

Constantine changed the day from the Seventh day to the first day of the week presumably to promote peace between the Christians and the Pagans in Rome at the time. He did it in the year 421.

Constantine was a questionable convert to Christianity based on a dream he had about a flag with a cross on it.

After seeing some of what he did after his conversion to Christianity, I would be hard pressed to say he was converted at all. But only God knows that.

Anyway, that is the answer to that question. CONSTANTINE.

I think its interesting to note on this subject though is what the catholics have to say about it. Not quoting here but this is the gist of it. "You protestants PAY HOMAGE to the Catholic church every week when you worship on Sunday! Because there is no scripture from Genesis to Revelation that allows you to do so. The Catholic Church claims athority to change the day and when you worship on that day , you pay homage to the Mother Church. The Catholic Church."

Very interesting and SHOULD make any serious bible student think twice about what he believes and why he believes it. Have a good day.

Not true. The Church had been keeping the First Day of the week from Day One of the New Testament era in the book of Acts. It was a holy celebration of the LORD's holy Resurrection Day. Slander against Constantine the Great is common among people who are ignorant of the meaning of history. God worked through Constantine to establish justice and peace in the Orthodox Church. A great thing happened in 325 AD with the First Ecumenical Council of the Christian Church at Nicea in Asia Minor.

Ellen G. White is a proven false prophetess who plagiarized many of her ideas from other heterodox (heretical) sources. She suffered from a nervous mental disorder and was perhaps epileptic. In any case, whatever her condition, she is not a source of sound doctrine, and the Seventh-day Adventist sect is based on the cult of William Miller who heretically tried to predict the second coming of Jesus Christ in 1843 and 1844. The adventists still believe Christ "came" in a spiritual sense into the heavenly tabernacle in 1844. There whole theology is false therefore, because it mixes a few correct opinions with a whole lot of errors.
Sabbatarianism has been declared a Judaizing heresy by the Orthodox Catholic Church.

They kept the sabbath in the NT not the 1st day. There was 1 meeting on the 1st day at night but that was on Saturday night cause the day in the Bible starts at sunset so that means when they left in the morning it was Sun-day morning no church service on Sun-day

The New Testament says otherwise. The Church met on the first day of the week
John 20:19, Acts 20:7 They came together to break bread (Acts 20:7), that is, the celebrate the holy Eucharist of Christ.
They (the Apostles) considered the weakness of the flesh and continued also to meet on the sabbath days. But they preached that no man can judge Christians based upon sabbath days Colossians 2:16-23 We are not justified by the works of the Law of Moses.
We are saved by the blood of Jesus Christ. And the power of His Resurrection, by His Resurrection.

What do you think of Ellen G. White and Seventh-day Adventism?
