I think a testimony is a good start for me. Just yesterday a new friend on FB was bewailing how bad things happen to good people.
I could have gone with “no one is good except God alone” and “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” It really tempted me. So I prayed, and God said to go with something pre-evangelistic.
So, I explained we live in a fallen world, but our hope is in the return of Jesus, when all will be made well. And that I trust God to work all things together for good. Then next thing you know, 8 people were discussing being far from God, needing to go back to him. That led to further discussion of repenting, and what Jesus came to do for us.
I never did get to the Romans 3 stuff, maybe next time? I think on FB, you can’t be heavy handed. Maybe in real, life, where you have time, and a relationship, to sit down and go through the verses on salvation, is better? Sometimes that means knowing that some plant, some water, and some weed, and finally, someone harvests. I know that is how I learned about Jesus. The Holy Spirit just kept placing bold Christians in my path, till my future husband sat me down and gave me the entire plan of salvation, and once I really heard it, God saved me in the most amazing way.
