In the Bible why is Jesus more forgiving than God if they are one in the same?

You should apply that thinking to yourself. Jesus pre-existed His physical existence SPIRITUALLY as part of the Godhead, and I understand 's theology enough to know he believes that. Nobody but you said anything about Him existing as a physical entity but you... unless you want to count any Theophanies (temporary physical manifestations). But that is another tangent, and not really relevant to Spiritual His existence prior to being born of a virgin.
