The word as it came from the Holy Spirit is always true and infallible. There could be errors in the human translations and transcribing. That said, you will notice Paul was always careful to separate what God told him compared he just thought was right.
1 Cor. 7:6 "But I say this as a concession, not as a commandment."
1 Cor. 7:12 "But to the rest I, not the Lord, say: If any brother has a wife who does not believe, and she is willing to live with him, let him not divorce her."

The word we can say is inerrant from the mouth of God only.

God's word is pure, without mixture. I believe every word is significant. Words, plural, are important to God. If one does not have the right words, one cannot compare Scripture to Scripture correctly. This is the foundation of allowing Scripture to interpret itself.
