I Wisdom was brought up from Everlasting (eternal life)
Won't even go into how many times in this chapter alone, that Wisdom is speaking emphaticly about Herself.
Its perfectly fine to beleive (not know) But to outright DENY Gods Wisdom, Gods Holy Spirit, Gods Comforter; well i'll just say, i'm glad its not me
God quiite plainly tells us; that it is His Wisdom, His Holy Spirit, His Comforter, NOT mans.
Then we are told that the kingdom of heaven is in us??????????
What is it that WE ALL have inside us? A thinking conciousness, Is this a physical thing?
What is it that people like about a so called wise man? To me its that they have caring words that make people feel better.
If you are a beleiver, and you don't know something, its much better to just say, i don't know, or this is my opinion on this; but to say it like your opinion is Gospel Truth, well i fear for that person.
The way religious beleifs are at this time, (same) It makes me wonder why God even bothered to make women in the first place. Religion sure makes it sound like their only purpose on earth is to shut-up and bear children. GROSS

I don't know, it just seemed to be; Jesus is the Wisdom of God. It naturally follows that He might be the Wisdom of God...it says that He created with God in the beginning (in Proverbs 8).
Just a thought.
Many actually do believe it is referring to Christ. Am I one of them? I'm not sure. I'll just have to look into it more.

Hi zacabba, I believe Proverba 8 is calling all to listen to her wisdom and seek credentials and consider the rewards of following her. To answer your question I feel some of the passages of Prov 8 can refer to Christ , because Christ used the words of Proverbs when He was here. Solomon said Proverba were designed to develop wisdom, discipline and insite and to fear the Lord is to hate evil.

The Word Chokmah, is feminine. So everythign that follows in hebrew would have to be in the feminine tense, other wise gramaticly it wouldnt be correct. But it is NOT calling WISDOM a female.
JESUS IS the Wisdom of God. In the NT, i evne belive they call LOVE a "she" but we know GOD is LOVE, and GOD is NOT a woman. IT IS NOT REFERING TO A "FEMININE" SIDE OF GOD. thats wicked. And extreamly pagan. GOD is not ambiguous, nor dual gendered.
He is talking about the wisdom of GOD(JESUS/WORD), But there IS NO FEMALE SIDE OF GOD. God treats us LIKE a mother hen. but is NOT a mother hen.

I wasnt calling You or anyone else wicked. i just said, that saying that God has a "Feminine" presence is wrong.
Its is an evil doctrine infiltrating MANY facets of Christendom, to say that there is a Mother/father God, or that God has a "Feminine" side. Its wrong. its not good.

Satan has so many people focused on the cross with guilt, that they have blinded themselves in not acknowledging what the Gospel (good-news) is.
Now before i go on, i'll have to insert this statement or i'm sure i'll never here the end of it.
I have just as much respect as any other Christian when it comes to the finished work on the cross by Christ; However this is the work, not the results in which is where the Gospel is.
Christ in the flesh was every bit the same as any other man on the outside (physical flesh)
It was what was inside of Him that separated from every other flesh person on earth both male and female.
And what was it Christ had inside Him, that even He had to wait to receive???
Certainly it wasn't the Word, as He was already marveling with The Word at 12 years old.
So if Christ has The Word, receives The Holy Spirit, that is capable of dwelling in Him, what part is missing? The Father, The Ressurection, and more importantly The Ascention, as this is where the Power of the Father is, on our level, Not the Fathers level, as ,well, its difficult to describe, contemplate yourself on the fact that AT NO TIME has anybody in the flesh, ever seen The Father. Moses was the one that came the closest, But even Moses only caught a glimpse of Gods backside, and that forever changed his countenace.
Didn't mean to come across as arrogant, sorry just this site is so brutal, one word more than Christ and it just seems to lead to heated debates.

if you want to be technical if there is not feminine side to God then there is not masculine side of God either.
