God uses symbolism all through scripture. The sacrificial system of the OT was based on symbolism of Christ. We are told to use water when we baptize, yet we know the water is a symbol of something much more profound.

There are many people who think, live, and do without even recognizing the spiritual of life. Even many Christians never think of their everyday life as having anything to do with the spiritual.

Could it be that all our thoughts, all our actions, and what we say is reflected in the spiritual whelm?

Everything we do, say, or think is certainly RECORDED in the Book of Life, thus all effects both our earthly and spiritual beings.

Psst... the word to use here is "realm", not "whelm".

Is there a relationship between the two? Undoubtedly. Is it a case of "every little thing"? I highly doubt it. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

Certainly death and life are in the power of the tongue.
We can curse or bless, but its better to bless than curse. Even bless our enemies. Hard in the flesh to do so, but with God, nothing is impossible. Recall that Balaam wanted to curse Israel but ended up blessing them instead...cos God spoke through him..well God even spoke through a donkey.

What we say is extremely important to God as out of the heart one speaks. In the beginning. GOd said...and it was so. We serve a God who can speak things into existence.

Of course we believers ought to walk in the spirit and not the flesh. If we walking in the flesh, then we cant walk in the spirit because the two oppose each other. The natural man cant discern what is spiritual and doesnt know about it, its foolishness to him. So to the natural man, water is just water, or maybe Dihydrogen monoixde its not life, washing or renewel as it is to the believer. To the natural man, someone speaking in an unknown tongue isnt a miracle, its babbling, mumbo jumbo or 'glossalia'. To the natural man, marriage is just a piece of paper...for the believer its a covenant snd the vows must be honored.

I agree that everything we do has a tie to the spiritual realm and has implications. I also believe we are spiritual beings having a fleshlike experience to test our hearts to see whom they belong to. That is why I agree when Paul writes that we should capture every thought:

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (NKJV) 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
