Ask yourself this question.
When it comes to religion, is the majority ever wrong?

Even if they seem sincere and pious, can the majority be wrong? or deceived?
Scripture tells us that the MANY are on the road to destruction and will not get into the kgd. When is it going to sink into people's mind that there is NO safety in numbers ?

Christ initiated the new era of Sabbaths moving from the last day to the first day.The day of creation (let there be light as children of light) used to typify a new creature, His eternal bride.

The refomation has come we are no longer typified as male or female, Jew or Gentile..

Joh 5:18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

The unbelieving Jew (no faith of Christ) by the time Christ came around had no idea as to the purpose of the Sabbath. They having it re-made as the things of men through the oral tradition generated of men. They thought the Sabbath rest ( not a time sensitive word), was made for men and not man for the the rest that had been secured from the foundation of the world as the lamb of God slain for the sins of those he came to purchase with His blood in which he did rest as a Sabbath rest, on the seventh day. We will receive it in its fullness when we receive our new incorruptible bodies. Today we have in in part being yoked with the rest of Christ making our burden lighter until we do receive our new bodies.

Mark 2:27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
There is not a verse anywhere in the Bible that says, "Thou shalt changeth thy Jewish Sabbath to the first day".
just ain't there. it is a crock.

and if you think your Messiah broke the Sabbath commandment, you better look for another Messiah, because that would make him a sinner.
He did not break the Sabbath, as he was accused of. He broke the man-made ordinances of the Pharisees.

Seems you believe in 'people-power'....never mind what GOD wants !
A typical stance of the 'disobedient...who falsly beieve they will enter the kingdom of God.[/QU

The vast majority of Christians like myself are not Judaisers and self righteous prigs. I dont need to justify myself to you or anyone else as to what I believe. Since when were you chosen to judge who enters the kingdom or not.

Well thanks for that. It seems that you will be very lonely in Gods kingdom because the vast majority of Christians like myself are not Judaisers and self righteous prigs. I dont need to justify myself to you as to what I believe.
If you think the 7th day Sabbath is from Judaism, then you must have read a different Bible than I did.

Well now....I read the scriptures and you evidently don't !
It is strange that when scripture tries to correct people they resort to wild accusations flinging insults around. seen it all before.

Are you sure you have the right Christ because the one I know is not a sadist who would allow his body to worship on the wrong date for nearly 2000 years and then condemn them for doing it.

not sure about the condemnation sir. I didn't use that word.
I was in a sun-day congregation for many years. But I discovered that sun-day is not the 7th day Sabbath. Just because a lot of people do something, that does not make it right.

You accuse myself and millions of others as being disobedient and that our hope of entering the kingdom as a false belief. I find them to be a wild accusation from someone who does not know hardly anything about me or anyone else here.
It is you who are doing the ''correcting'' not Scripture.

Galations 4:8-11

Formerly, when you did not know god you were slaves to those who by nature are not Gods. But now that you know God-or rather are known by God - how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable principles? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again? You are observing special days and months and seasons and years . I fear for you that somehow I have wasted my efforts on you.

You call the 10 Commandments 'miserable principles ? I can see this is going to please God who has established them !
Paul was speaking to CONVERTS who were coming out of paganism and were pressured to return to their old ways. How could Paul have said this to pagans who never had GOD's holy days ? You can only 'return to something you had before and pagans never had known the true God like the Converts had been taught by Paul. So in fact Paul was telling the Converts not to go back into paganism....which sadly they did because of persecution and literal death.
This happens to be another writing of Paul 'hard to understand, yet the unlearned think they have it all figured out-no problem. Even today christianity is riddled with pagan influence which will never be accepted in the kgd of God...scripture says so.

Friend, God has given man 'free will to obey Him or not '.
GOD's Commandments and requirements are clearly stated...it's up to us to obey or not ! He is giving us TIME to change and be converted but it won't last for ever in order to fit into God's creative plan for mankind. Condemnation comes because of man's disobedience and hard heart refusing to be corrected.

The Lord Jesus Christ called the 10 commandments through Paul the "ministry of death".

2 Corinthians 3:7 (NASB)
[SUP]7 [/SUP] But if the ministry of death, in letters engraved on stones, came with glory, so that the sons of Israel could not look intently at the face of Moses because of the glory of his face, fading as it was,

The law of Moses is a manifestation of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. This "law" is in the hearts of all people born in this world. Romans 2:14-15.

The Lord brought it out more fully to Moses and then Jesus really elevated the Law to show what it's true intent is. ( this stops the Pharisees - law-keepers I their self-righteous tracks )

We are not meant to eat of that tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Only God can eat from that tree. We are to eat from the tree of Life - which is Christ Himself.

The law is good and holy but it is like an x-ray machine - it shows up sicknesses. It doesn't have the power for healing - only Christ has that.

Once the Law does it's job and brings us to Christ - we then have died to the Law, are released from the Law and are not under the Law any more. It cannot get much plainer than that.

We live now by the life of Another - Christ Himself - we are joined to Christ now. We can trust the Holy Spirit in us now for life and living.

To go back to the Law for life and living after coming to Christ is committing spiritual adultery on our Lord. He is our life now!

Just the simple fact that our Lord did not "keep" the Sabbath should ring something in the ears of those who call themselves followers of Christ!
This is not even something to be deliberating on even. There are far more eternal matters to discuss on!

Have we ever read where Jesus said that the priests who stand in the temple - break the Sabbath which is in the Law?...or that David and his men ate of the bread which was in the temple?

Matthew 12:2-6 (NASB)
[SUP]2 [/SUP]
But when the Pharisees saw this, they said to Him, "Look, Your disciples do what is not lawful to do on a Sabbath."

[SUP]3 [/SUP]
But He said to them, "Have you not read what David did when he became hungry, he and his companions,

[SUP]4 [/SUP]
how he entered the house of God, and they ate the consecrated bread, which was not lawful for him to eat nor for those with him, but for the priests alone?

[SUP]5 [/SUP] "Or have you not read in the Law, that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple break the Sabbath and are innocent?[SUP]6 [/SUP] "But I say to you that something greater than the temple is here.

Why were the priest not breaking the Sabbath law - because they were in the temple. Why did David be able to eat of the bread? Because he was
in the temple.

This is why the true believer in Christ will not be breaking any Sabbath law because we are in the temple. Know you not that you are the temple of God?

Those that are in the temple are not breaking the Sabbath law by doing work because we are in Christ. He is the true temple of God as we are in union with Him and are one in the spirit.

Until we understand the reality of our union with Christ and what that means - we will be resorting to going back to the Law and trying to live by our own flesh and we are exchanging the law for Christ. This is the sign of a "Judaizer spirit" trying to deceive us.

nice try.
If God changed the day, it would be in Scripture, not just in Ignatius.
i didn't say God changed the day...i merely said the roman catholic church was not behind the change...you will have to look for that boogeyman elsewhere...

actually jesus -did- break the sabbath...as the text states 'point blank'...

it did not make him a sinner because the priests were allowed to break the sabbath every week without being guilty of sin...and jesus is the great high priest...

no, sister, no.
it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
"Lawful" is the key word.
Don't be tricked by the Pharisee claims.

my friend, can you show the verse where the Messiah broke the Sabbath commandment?

or just where He was accused of breaking His Father's commandment?

Paul was talking to Judaizing Christians who thought they were more holy than everyone else because they "kept" the sabbath and observed feast days and all the other things Judaizers do.

He talks about this same thing in a lot of other books too. They're in the New Testament.
