Prophecy buffs, What are the ramifications of Israeli attacks on Palestine? Does anyone think that they fulfill any particular prophecy in the Bible?

The nation is stuck between a rock and hard place it seems, live peaceably with neighbors who persistently act towards the elimination of the state or defend the nation and now have to deal with increased terrorism and increased acts of elimination towards the state.

Retaliation is reasonable, but I believe they just stirred up a hornets nest!

Considering the ceaseless barrage of missiles that Israel has endured over the past week and the fact that Israel has regardless of this continued its supply of aid to Gaza, I think Israel is acting very soundly.

Indeed, Israel is stirring up the hornets nest, but that is simply because every time Israel defends herself it is portrayed by the media as aggression, prompting angry reprisals from her neighbours and international condemnation.

Regardless, this is essentially the same old cycle of violence.

When you take into consideration that Israel is only acting on her own behalf against Hesbola, which funded and controlled by the Iranian Government, I feel that it won't be long before Israel finally get's tired of Iran's meddling and decides to face of with Iranians once and for all.

Such an occurance could very well lead to the fulfillment of prophecy now that Iran and Russia have made various pacts pertaining to long range missles. Such a conflict could result in the battle of Gog & Magog which, according to scripture, Russia & Persia (Iran) lead an army against Israel only for God to send upon them a great curse which the biblical description sounds a lot like nuclear fall out.

Naz, I think things are about to get nutty over there in the Middle East. I assume to be correct in saying that Israeli offensive aggression has been rare. Muslims are serious and are usually the aggressors. With Iran possibly at Nuke capability, an enduring Israeli offensive may prove reasonable, but unwise. I am convinced that the Muslim world will retaliate, and they may hit harder than they were hit.

I agree completely. However, (while I forget where) scripture points out that once Israel has been reestablished, never again will they be banished from the land (which seems to be the united Muslim agenda). Of course, that's not saying Israel won't take it share of casualties however, I believe God's word for what it says.

In the prophecies of Gog & Magog as well as Armegeddon, large armies gather together against Israel. Neither of which Israel has an actual chance of defending herself which is why God Himself intervenes.
While the battle of Gog & Magog appears to talk about nuclear fall out (which seems reasonable considering the US has been shipping weapons to Israel for years), with the battle of Armegeddon of course we know that Christ returns and God pours out his wrath.

do people understand that for years Israel ileagaly ocupies the Gaza strip and the Westbank and are building setlements in these places in order to take over those areas and anyone who tries to do anything about it is killed, it sounds like Hitler. the thing is that Israel is against the Law in this ocupation, now its understandable why palestine and her alies want Israel gone.
not saying that the other side is not wrong in the things they do.
it just seems Israel is always favoured, mabey its because there the people of God, I dont know, we are told that the Lord Loves Israel. how Jesus longed to gather her under his wings like a bird that mothers her chicks, though they killed the prophets sent to her, and was also sent into exile.
I am not sure what the current events hold.

Its so good to have brought such a forum NAZ. As a christian i believe Isreal is the object to watch to know the times we r living in. Jesus said the generation that sees the fig tree bud (fig tree been Isreal) that generation wont pass untill the end is come or Jesus returns. Then the bible says the seventieth week of Daniel which Jesus came start His preaching in it but was cut in between the week (3 and a half years) is to be finished. That means one of this days isreal is to get back to their old way of worship and Jesus will come meaning we r waiting for demolation of the Mosque that stands where the Temple was and get back to their sacrifices. And paul said Jerusalem will be trodened down by gentiles untill the gentile days days are over. What we r seeing in Palestine is a start of what will climax to full take over of the city of Jerusalem and building of Solomons Temple. It wont be a battle but real war to do so.

But they r the choosen race. Who can say no to Gods choosing.
That topic is Good I would like to hear more from christian here.

My friend Pagie. I dont think Israel occupies Gaza Illegaly coz That land was Given to abraham and after they left the bondage in Egypt they went up took it over untill Jesus came and Died they were fought by Romans and scatered all over the world. Then God released the second world war and Israel were forced by germans to free to their motherland by the help of the Americans and other countries. to fullfil the prophecy by Isaiah the prophet "by the wings of a great eagle He carried them back to the Holy land...........". Since then God has been working on them making ready His gentile bride and preparing Israel for his return. NB As Joseph who had a gentile bride first sent his bride back to palace then introduced Himself to His brothers so is Christ Going to do.Take His bride for rapture then introduce to Israel the same Christ they rejected was their Mesiah. Jeremiah said they will cry and the House of Rachel will mourn to see the same they rejected been their savior.
God Bless

Hi Josh how are you mate, I know what you are saying, but when the state of Israel was established it was done so giving the Jews what is called Israel today and deviding Palestine to the Palestinians with Israel in the midde with the west bank at the top right and Gasa at the left bottem that was what was given them, since then they have taken Palestinian places belonging to the palestinian Arab people against the orders of the united natians. there are people who have had there homes taken and destroyed they are Palestinians who were normal sevilians and still have the deeds to there homes though Israel have made settlements there and by these settlements claiming therefore it belongs to Israel. the thing that it might be prophesied to come dosnt make it right it is still against the Law and ilegal and breaks manny human rights violations, Israel has hundreds of tanks palestinians not one, Israel has heaps of fighter jets Palestine not one, for a whyle up untill lately the fighting palestinians were only servilians whom were defending there land when they seen there mothers houses taken from them and fighting against an ilegal agresion. now if it happened to our homes and we were defenceless im sure the temptations to give in to groups that would sponsor us the capabiaties to stand up for ourselves wouldnt be turned down by most.
see they might be a people of God with a prommised land, there might just be the reason they might give to treat man who is made in Gods Image in an inhumain way I believe that this is much like prophecy comming to pass, yet we might say starling or hitler were wrong and evil in there agression but we excuse Israel as though they might do the same but it is ok because they are prommised this by God.
I believe the jews are called of God to be a Holy people before the Lord and the Natians, though I know at this momment they dont turn there eyes to the Lord but I believe that in the climax of these things they will as in Ezekial the vally of dry bones was risen before the spirit was put into it.
im a little suss on making current events the event as people have presumed for years that currnt event is at hand, even for centuries, an example is that martin luther and the pope both called each other the Antichrist haha but the message of the Lord was always to watch and keep faith in him
thank you for your reply :)
God bless

I think looking at what's happening with the country called Israel and trying to fit it to the bible is missing the point a little. Verses in the bible about the temple probably refer to the time when the temple was destroyed in 70 AD or prior to that. If there is any restoration of the temple, it won't be for anything other than the reign of Anti Christ, pretending to be like God on earth. If God restores temple and sacrifices , what was the purpose of Christ?, who IS the perfect sacrifice once and for all? When Jesus died, the curtain in the temple was torn in two, signifying that the old covenant was finished. God dont' live in temples anymore, He lives in you and me. Remember, christians are the spiritual Israel. Christians are the real Jews, all those of faith are of Abraham. God set up a new covenant, and only christians are part of that covenant and are God's people. We look for new Jerusalem prepared by God and coming from heaven - this Jerusalem in the country called Israel today is old Jerusalem.

Heb 12:22 Instead, you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, with its thousands of angels.

The references to the city that God loves, Gog and Magog, in Revelations 20, I believe is speaking of spiritual Israel, that's the Church, that's us. Barnes commentary on this verse says "But no just principle of interpretation requires us to understand this "literally." Compare Heb_12:22"

Israel is the heart of the Bible prophecy so what happens to Israel show us the things that are coming

I think Israel pushing into the west bank on the ground like they did paves the way for a peace treaty to be signed. If it's a 7 year treaty... who knows?

Myths about modern state Israel:

http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/myths/mftoc.html

Furthermore dont inform yourself through Skynews, BBC and so on. It's simply misleading. Better visit israeli newspaper sites. I follow the present conflict and when I see what is presented by the media I could get mad.
