What part am I ignoring?
F.i. Deuteronomy capter 1-29.
Chapter 1, 1 says clear to whom Mose spoke.
✝ Deuteronomy 1:1

"These be the words which Moses spoke unto all Israel on this side Jordan in the wilderness, in the plain over against the Red sea, between Paran, and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and Dizahab."

This is the Adressat of Deuteronomy. Not you or me!

Trust and Obey is not ignoring who the promise was made to but the conditions that were put on the people whom the promise was made to. Look at the many "if you" conditions, don't you see them?

It is finished means more than just the debt being paid, although thats the big one. His time on earth was finished, the curtain torn finished the power of the priests, sacrifices were finished as well, which ties to the priests.
So was deaths grip on the saints of the first testament

“Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, and came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭27:50-53‬ ‭

of course fulfilling the promise he made to them in thier covenant of resurrection

“Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.”
‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭37:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”
‭‭John‬ ‭11:25-26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

there was a whole lot accomplished in the gospel his suffering ended at the cross but remember that he left an empty tomb behind him and he lives and continue nuts on forever still to this day advocating for and interceding for those who believe in him.

“Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him,

seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭7:25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: and he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for our's only, but also for the sins of the whole world.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:34‬ ‭KJV‬‬

As believers when we need advocation because we’ve sinned in some way or we need appeasement of Gods wrath against our sins , or a reminder that Jesus sacrifice is enough to cover our sins and shortcomings that we can’t cover. What he did on the cross still remains forever just as he remains alive forevermore

that one time sacrifice finished the atonement part of everything but there’s the ongoing advocation and mediation as well as final judgements of the new covenant as well ….by its living mediator the same who suffered and died but just as truly rose up forever victorious and willing to save those who turn to him n good faith

Right this is you and me and everyone else now

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:18-20‬

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.”
‭‭John‬ ‭12:48‬ ‭

“For the law was given by Moses,

but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“The law and the prophets were until John:

since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭16:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:31-

“Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. ….But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1:22-23, 25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The audience for the gospel is everyone

Bravo!
Well stated and needs to be repeated.

Disgusting how people defend or are silent on the killing of innocent children and mass starvation
Christians are going to be regarded in very bad light when this all comes to its bitter end.

I posted this on another thread but these kinds of statements give me some hope.

The rogue state is one of the richest nations on earth right now, when measured by wealth and debt distribution per citizen. Completely contradictory to what they're supposed to be experiencing during the time of the gentiles.

Yes, in fact, the number of casualties would change. And if it were about only 100k-200k, that would be a huge change also.
Yes, the number of the dead would change, of course. Less is less. The point is it wouldn't change the Holocaust. It wouldn't change the severity of what happened. It would not change anything except the number of bodies.

The African Transatlantic slave trade was followed by slavery. Those victims averaged 15-20 million according to conservative scholarly estimates.
Yes, the Muslims are to blame for starting that, though you'll never hear that but of truth. Are you saying 15-20 million dead or enslaved people? Either way, you said other people in society are told to move on, forget about it. This is certainly not the case with slavery, especially in America.

It would seem the victims didn't learn the lessons,
It wasn't done so the VICTIMS could learn a lesson, it was done so the perpetrators would learn a lesson.

with the genocide they're committing now, so the argument that it was to prevent it from happening again to anyone is weak.
It was done to stop the Nazi sentiment, the antisemitism. They are not committing genocide now. If you're going to commit genocide, you don't tell your victims you're coming and where you will be, then give them time to leave. smh

I would agree, however, that it was done for a reason. It's the same reason why we keep changing the definition of antisemitism. It's to maintain the official narrative and give the state a license to act with impunity, where nothing they do can be questioned or criticized. For example, simply publishing the following video was treated as a crime against Jewish people and was removed from YouTube.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KwksL-onuOtFWaNmIFArrW528I_Jx9Ff/view?usp=sharing

...and notice that just the facts are shown. The math ain't mathing...
The definition of antisemitism has never changed. And you can't put anything on Youtube. Someone is going to complain and get content taken down. I'm on there often and they are always changing words to make sure they don't get taken off the site.

Nope. It's a nation. Israel.

You do understand that you will be PHYSICALLY resurrected?
I believe in learning from what they taught like this ….

“But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?

Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die: and that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:

…..it is sown a natural body;

it is raised a spiritual body.

There is a natural body,

and there is a spiritual body.

And as we have borne the image of the earthy,

we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:35-37, 44, 49-52‬ ‭KJV‬‬

so no I don’t believe the bodies we have and see now are going to be raised up again but the ones God promised the spiritual bodies will be raised up . And I don’t believe flesh and blood are going to live for ever and inherit Gods kingdom but spiritual folks ….with spiritual bodies made for heavenly places and eternal dwellings

I showed you with the bible to whom this is spoken. Deuteronomy 1, vers 1.
You just ignore this!

They are not committing genocide now.
60,000 dead and counting.

Let's see: ~2000 casualties on October 7th ... Now 60,000+ dead as a response.

Does that sound like W.W.J.D.?

I wonder what kind of judgment people are bringing upon their own heads by declaring such a response is warranted. Imagine if that person steals a piece of candy worth $1.00 and the judge rules they must lose their hand. We have an example of that in the world: Islam.

The god created by the Roman church leaders and the god of Islam are at least cut from the same cloth: they both convince their followers to use "god" as the reason for the slaughter of millions.

Trust and obey is of course the key for a God pleased life. But dont come with Deuteronomy, this was for Israel! You find it also in the NT.

So where is Jesus in this arrangement? The land was promised to him, the king of Israel, and it is written that we believers will be with him forever. Something's not adding up

Today you cant expect from Isreal to live according W.W.J.D. This will come in Future.
If they would committing genocide, they would very bad in this.
Sadly, they had to defend theirselfes. And the world has more compassion to the Muslims then to the jews.
Look the Sudan, who cares that the Islam kills many thousands of Christians.

Trustandobey is the person who wrote post# 1896.

I know it was meant for Israel but the promise was still conditioned on Israel meeting the requirements in the promise.

Correct.
