Phil.3:7 But those things I used to consider gain I have now reappraised as loss in the light of Christ. 8
I have come to rate all as loss of the surpassing knowladge of my Lord Jesus Christ. For His sake I have forfitted everything; I have accounted all else rubbish so that Christ may be my wealth

Eph 6:12 Our battles are not against human forces but against the principalities and powers,
( this scripture continues with much more greatness, please read the rest if you can)

The highlights are posted as referance.
Both of these scriptures hold so much understanding to the freedom and power of God in Jesus!
Now to the meat!
Over the last few months Ive seen scripture here and there that brought a lesson on self, or looking to others.
I read them but never quite got the message, because I saw all in Jesus being about his love for me and others. A great message but I missed the great part.
My Mom always said never hate the person , hate the evil. My Mom was a wise woman.
Then some one said to me, its not about you.
Now I took some offence to this because like I said ,its about Jesus's love for me and you.

Then the understanding hit! It really isnt about me or you.
I read these two scriptures with a greater understanding, and saw what Jesus has been telling all of us.
His mercy and love through his sacrifice has given us this.
Now yes, his love stands for you and me, but it is all the rest that isnt about you or me.
How many times do we pray and ask Jesus why is this, how come I, when will I, ect..
or why do they, how come they, when will they, ect...
I know I did, prayed alot about this. But its not about you or me.
When we deny our very selves to Jesus we no longer are under this or need this or why them. As Paul said;
I have come to rate all as loss in Jesus.
Our battles are against principalities and powers.
Its all about principalities and powers, wether me or you.
We are bought by the sacrifice of Jesus, the blood he shed.
Now maby this is hard to recieve, but just start saying for the next day or so.
Its not about me!
Its not about them!
It is all about Jesus and look to him!!!!
He has concured all principalities and powers
My prayers in Jesus are for all in this, it is freeing unto Jesus.

Well said pickles.

Galatians 1:6-16

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

7Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
10For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
11But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
13For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:
14And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
15But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, 16To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

Now if we could all just substitute whatever religion we are in where it says the Jews' religion maybe more will come to an understanding of this very truth! WE DO NOT BATTLE WITH FLESH AND BLOOD!

Pickles,

You have revealed a truth that is not taught very much. We prefer to think that John 3:16 puts us in the center of God's heart and that everything was done for us. What we need to realize is that God created everything so that He could be glorified. He gave Adam dominion over the earth and Adam gave that dominion away for a bite of fruit. The only way that God could legally get it back was for a man to redeem it. The requirement could only be accomplished by a perfect man and man was imperfect because of sin. That meant that Jesus had to come as a man. He had to die in order to meet the requirement for a perfect sacrifice. When He cried out from the cross "It is finisihed!" He was telling His heavenly Father that the work of redemption was completed by the expiation of all sin. That expiation also provided us with a new covenant in Christ for the forgiveness of our sins. Now God can be glorified in us.

Excellent post!

In Christ,
John

P.S.

I forgot to add this. The only way that we can glorify God in our lives is for us to deny evrything about life, our wants, our needs, our desires. They all have to be denied so that Jesus can reign supreme in us.

Luke 9:23-27 " 23And he said to all, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. 24For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. 25 For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself? 26For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when he comes in his glory and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. 27But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God." In Christ,
John

It is hard to take joy in the fact that God did not save what we were but what we are becoming. And what we are becoming is being created now in the image of Jesus. It is all about Jesus. I was in worship one night when the Spirit asked me what would result if we put a harlot into a wedding dress. Of course, we know the answer. He then told me that this is not the bride that the Father will give to His Son, but rather a bride who is meet for the born Son of God. I understood then that it is not, as you say Pickles, about us, but about Jesus. We are being prepared to be a bride fit for Him, a body fit for Him, servants fit for Him, created in His image, as He is the firstborn of many.

In His love,

I want to say thankyou to all who have witnessed here but also in other posts. It is Jesus word spoken in obediance that helped me see.
I reciently read or heard, that there was only one sin (Adam) that bought death, thus only one sacrifice to bring salvation! As I understood this is from God Our Father.
Each day is getting to know Jesus, and in him God Our Father and his Holy Spirit, can we even begin to consider the greatness that is in store for all those that love Him!
It would take an eternity!

I pray all the time for the Lord to push me out of the way if my being in this human form I am in his way without knowing.

Gods will be done in me.

Yesterday a man came to the altar. He was very sad and cried. On his knees. The Lord uses me a lot to pray for people. Lately he has had me doing things with my hands. Like he says for me to reach to heaven and grab it and pull in down to earth. That my hands actually go to heaven. So I obey all these things that sound so wierd. Plus he says for me to take my hands and swish my hands to the left and the right. He says his power is coming through and by my movements I am actually moving demons and their forces.

Well I'm sad to say yesterday I was getting in the way of the Lord. I'm also sad to say there are practically no men in the church that will be used by God.

I knew this man needed someone to stand for him. And I knew God wanted me to do it. I knew God wanted me to go over and stand behind him. And pray and do these things things with my hands so Gods power can come.

But I knew this mans wife has a jealousy problem.

I've had to do much prayer for this woman to be decent to me.

Plus I know that the men and the women should have a man or a woman to the same sex be helpers.

The Lord uses me lots of times for men but some cases should have a man for a man.

Anyway I felt bad cause I knew even to be thinking that I didn't want to go over there with that mans wife claring at me from behind I was thinking of me.

I have a fear of God and I know well if he wants to he can kill me for disobeying him. So when I'm talking to him about me and how I felt I had my head in low posistion and a heart for him to know that I wasn't wanting to argue with him. But I knew he knew a man should of been going to that man. But he and I both knew a man wasn't going to do it.

I tell the Lord just tell me flat out when I'm doing wrong. So hes says very firmly are you going to disobey me. Whew!

I went straight to the man and started praying. The Lord also has me motion with my hands lifting up from the floor to heaven. Peoples spirits are so crushed down to the ground. The powers from God wants the people hearts lifted up off the floor.

Imediately I started crying feeling that mans pain.

The Lord has been showing me in the bible how he had people do things with their hands all the time. Like Moses going to the red sea and holding up a stick.

I know people in the church must think I look crazy with all these things I am doing because the Lord tells me to. But its not about me. His ways are not our ways.

I am amazed at the way the Lord is teaching you sister. In the end, when everything is finished, there will be only one who is exalted, Jesus Christ. He will be pre-emenant in all things, and only the Father will shine in glory above Him. We will shine in glory directly in respect to how much we glorify Him.

In His love,

loveschild, what you speak to here, is not weird at all. In fact your post here confermed something Jesus showed me in prayer last night. No matter how unusual our Lord God's requests, it is about his great power and our obediance to him.
Your post answered my question in Jesus.
There is alot of God Our Fathers power in Jesus through his Holy Spirit moving in his children right now.
Amen!! and God bless. pickles

Hi Pickles
Years back it was as simple as God told me to shake a little music rattle. I thought thats crazy. That can't be God. He told me again, shake the rattle. I didn't cause I was still thinking God wouldn't tell me something that sounded so silly.

The lady in front of me started shkinf her tambourine. I knew I didn't obey so God went to someone else.

It wasn't music time anymore.

I said then I never wanted to disobey God again.

Have fun!

You can pray for me cause the devil is attacking me all the time. He wants to stop my destiny. NOT! I keep dancing and rejoicing thr the attacks.

I win!

Ezek 36:
21But I had pity for mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went.
22Therefore say unto the house of Israel, thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.
23And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

I really enjoyed your post -- really good reminder. Still remember the way Jesus prayed -- telling God his desire, but asking for God's will over His desire. I've never seen this before -- so I feel blessed God has opened my eyes. Living here isn't about me - God blesses us because He wants to -- but seeing that point, it is quite hard. But it is sweet when God shows u -- that when You follow Him -- that alone is the blessing and then You desire as He Wills. Interesting concept actually -- one I never saw before.

Like Revelation -- it is the revelation of Jesus -- the book is talking about Jesus. How many people talk about that? That was so eye opening -- the things to come are not the concern -- it is Jesus and us telling and showing others about Him. Seeing that the change must be in us -- then it is better for everyone -- that is a change that isn't about me. Like Joseph -- his life was to bring glory to God -- because in the end -- his heart was like Gods and God brought people to God through that.

But yep, you are all correct -- most never teach of this. I was taught obey God and He will bless u. That is a truth -- but not nearly taught correctly. It's amazing -- I still have so much to learn.

How do we LOVE Jesus..???

By doing his will....?

What is His Will for us..

perhaps He has a different will for each indivual child of his...together we create His BODY...here on earth..

as well as in heaven...

He knows His children..and they know HIM...

many have cried out his name..and even done miracles in HIS name...but they KNOW not the TRUE CHRIST...(his words ..not mine..)

so...we must all be true to ..our own redemption in CHRIST

and understand it with depth....and wisdom...

something I am learning, as each day I have been given, unfolds its truths, to my soul
