Luk 20:33 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them is she? for seven had her to wife.
Luk 20:34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:
Luk 20:35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:
Luk 20:36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

I'm not sure I consider this a *fun* question.
Heaven is the kingdom of our Lord. The place where the throne of God is.

I also do not think it is really appropriate to think of what we will get in heaven. (for lack of a better of way of putting it.)

As Christians we are to strive to become more like Christ in the way we live out lives, and for the purpose of furthering the kingdom FOR Christ. Not ourselves.

(on a side note...I am not a prude when it comes to sex, or topics of sex....but I do think there is a line that should not be crossed. Just my opinions on this thread.)

Guess this must be a touchy subject for some  But heres a can of worms; From what it says in the Bible, though it isn't crystal clear one way or the other, as it is stating this on the subject of Marriage, and us no longer being in the flesh.

Our Father is a Grower and Multiplier of Good things, that last Forever. Its seems obvious to me that if we do, it won't be as we understand it to be now, in the flesh.

Now heres the can; In the Q'uaran, (and if your so closed minded, that you think He left some of HIS chilldren down here, destitute of the knowledge of Him, then just stop reading this and Good-Bye :D)

So in the Q'uaran; what it does say in their is that NO, we will not have sex as we now know it to be (flesh) BUT, and here's the Good-News (Gospel) It says that what we do in place of it, is a 1000 times better.

So that leaves a lot up to the imagination; and what always comes to my mind first is TRANSFIGURING. Anyway i think this was intended to be a light hearted thread, so i better stop.

Love and Peace to ALL in CHRIST!!! :)

Shareing ones opinion does not mean they are overly sensitive or that they are *touchy* about the topic. It just simply means that they have an opinion, just as you (and everyone else who share(s)) have. :)

my opinion: Even though sex is probably a good feeling (I wouldn't really know myself :p), the main purpose is to make children, yes?
I don't think we need to make more children in heaven. So I don't think there will be sex.

I do however hope we are physical beings so we can caress, in more, eh, casual ways

This is not a 'fun' question, it is a 'dumb' question. READ YOUR BIBLE

you know, i dont think of it as a "fun" question, but an interesting question, but not a dumb question... some of you seriously need to lay off with your hostility to the guy. it's a genuine question, and im kinda curious myself...

when it comes to the Bible, it never says whether there will be sex in heaven or not, so i dont know...
having said that, we have not even seen nor heard the things that go on in heaven... personally, seeing how love is personified in the Bible, sex will more than likely be obsolete. while sex here on earth feels good, and is a gift from God for married couples, it's finite, since it's the flesh.
every form of love that we experience on this earth is a foreshadow of the infinite, and greater love that the Father has for us... so when we see someone, and we hug, or embrace someone in heaven, the love that we will express to one another will be greater, deeper, more intimate, and more beautiful than anything sex can express, because all of us will be complete in every single form. I know thats really hard to understand because of how we view sex... believe me, it's hard for me to understand, especially being close to marriage... but thats whats been put on my heart.

that's my 2 cents

IF you are curious, then you haven't read 1) your Bible, or at the least 2) Post number 2; If there is no marriage there can be no sex (AS IF our being there is all about US???? NOT!) beause that would be fornication, which is SIN and there is no sin in heaven.

That a person would even ask such a question shows, at best, lack of knowledge concerning God and His word and Character (READ YOUR BIBLE), and at worst, ones complete absorbtion with SELF...as in physical pleasure rather than being in the presence of God.

This is a dumb question. Those who make it to heaven, will be in a Celestial body, not in Flesh. All desire for fleshly pleasure is gone.....If you study a Bible you also find out There is no marriage in heaven, we all will be like the Angels, Jesus stated that.....

There will be no sex in heaven, and that is why Jesus said that people do not marry in heaven and are not given in marriage in heaven, but are like the angels, which means the female and male status is over, and there is no separation between men and women in heaven.
The angels have no gender, and when the saints are in heaven the gender for female and male is over, and they are the same.

While on earth the man is head of the woman, but they are equal in the Lord, because that is the only thing that separates a man and a woman is the flesh, the spirit and soul are the same.

When the saints put off the flesh, and the spirit goes back to God who gave it,what will remain is the soul, which is the same for both male and female, and they will be encased in a glorified body, which the glorified body has no gender, but is the same for both male and female.

I say it is still a dumb question. Common sense tells us Heaven is not only for Righteous, but no Human body will be there either, it is also not a "Fun Question" ...Praise his Holy Name...

Hmmm..... thats an interesting point. I know God created sex for our own pleasure. The point about us not being married is a valid point, but the reason marriage was created on earth was for people not to have premarital sex and get STDs and all the crap that comes with sex with multiple partners. But that shouldn't be a problem in heaven. I guess its a question we get to ask God in heaven.:) This is of course not a dumb question. Also God created us to have sex not just for children but for ourselves. My firm belief is that when we get to heaven and we see our Savior face to face sex, food, games etc won't be in our heads. We will just be praising Christ. When you think about it its not strange cause I know when i have my own worship sets at home I could go on for hours without getting tired. Think about how we will be like when we are perfect and have no distractions.
