Jesus is God in First John!
(SATIRE)

hi jonathan.

i used to believe that too.

but i've been convinced by my Arian comrades that jesus is a created entity, and therefore can not be god.

just give up bible study. its too hard. who cares what it says in 1st john anyways - that could mean ANYTHING. just skim over it and that's good enough.

this is way easier.

you can bypass jesus altogether (and in fact you really should because a) he isn't god so what good can he do and b) it makes father jealous and hurts his feelings when we try to go through jesus.

i call myself a christian, so i can believe and teach whaever i want.

plus now with all these authoritative offices, who is going to question me?

stupid churches and shepherds anyways. who needs 'em.

MAN, I LIKE THIS.

hi Fester,

well, i got a message that you would posting right about now, and i'm supposed to tell you that you and i are co-prophets of the end times.

its possible Still is Elijah, so that leaves Moses or possibly Enoch. you could be one of those.

the prophecy majors have been hinting at something, might have to defer to them on this one. i'm learning to see things in all the CAPS and UNDERLINING. needed the gift of seeking i guess....it came when i denounced those silly theologians and university types.

not to mention CHURCH!!! can you IMAGINE??? *what was i thinking* head knowledge! way more room in my head now that i emptied it.

this is way easier than bible study and stuff. though i was thinking of writing a new bible because i'm getting a lot of new revelation.

but.....that would mean i would have to actually think and write and stuff.

NAH.

Zone we hear enough of that from the people who truly believe it, being sarcastic all the time isn't helpful. I generally agree with what you have to say, but think you may have crossed a line here.

Here's one thing I've learned in life Meridoc. Sometimes if you don't talk "loud" enough, people won't hear you. They've heard now......no doubt about it. Incidentally,....have those people on this forum that claim to be modern day prophets and given us "new revelations" from God Himself crossed any lines in your opinion ?

What the hell am I? I thought this was a place of sanctuary but it looks like another den of iniquity.

Agreed, how can the two be separate? They are on and the same. Jesus is God.
:) praise God they did not confuse you with the nonsense being posted.

JESUS IS GOD, LORD of Lords, KING of Kings, the Alpha and the Omega, Creator of Heaven and Earth!

Utah, mmm its been a weird day, but I hope when you say Hell you are talking about the location?

i'm at the point where I try not to comment on too many things of contentious nature, its like adding gasoline to the fire.

I'll listen to Jesus instead when He told His disciples to let the Pharisees be because they are the blind leading the blind and both will fall in a ditch. if they won't listen to the Holy Spirit speaking to them why would they listen to me? for GOD is greater than I and they reject Him and His truth so what can a person do? we do not save but God through His grace and mercy reaches down and plucks people destined for Hell on their own and places in them a new heart that is repentance and strives to spread the Gospel that Jesus is Lord and Savior!

That's something I need to work on.
Thanks for the advice.

You sum up the sad truth well.

If I may add. Many come on sites like this one because they believe they have great spiritual knowledge, they are here to teach others from the wealth of what they believe they know. Unfortunately there is a 'knowledge' that puffs up and makes a person vain and proud of heart. The end result is what you see on this and other threads

no problem. I post it to remind myself as well, i'm still working on it too. Sometimes God tells us to talk to people and sometimes God tells us He has it and we are to do other things.

I think it would be good practice to take a few minutes to pray and ask God before responding to people both online and in real life.

it is harder in real life because people get inpatient and some are easily distracted so you might be pressured into reacting instead of responding to a situation. Reacting is to go with you gut and not think about it just for your own survival and protection (often that leads to fights and misunderstandings) Responding is thinking about it and remembering what Jesus told us about turning the other cheek and blessing those who curse us.

God is in control and I don't think He would want us to let others beat up on us, but at the same time I don't think He would want us to beat up on others. therefore I think it is ok to defend yourself from harm but try not do damage to others if it can be helped. for the Bible says, in so much as is in your power, live peaceful with your fellow man.

sometimes things are out of our control and peace can not be reached. at that point we just walk away (if possible) and pray for the other person.
