Actually I disagree. if by world, you mean here on Earth, then Satan is in control. It's why you have Illuminati masonic symbols on the American Money. Illumination of Lucifer, the Light bearer.

It's why Right Wing Christians in America are being fooled and controlled by Satan. It's why the only issues that matter are Abortion and Gay Rights. Because those things don't affect the rich white men who worship Satan. So they get all the Christians to divert their energies into persecuting women and minorities (gays).

Rather than calling Jesus Christ, dear jonathanbchristian, as being the "Lord of the world", I like to remember the voice of our Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ, Who reminded us simply,
"My Kingdom is not of this world." So, the lord of this world, the god of this world, is satan. This world is not of the LORD Jesus Christ, Whose Kingdom is not of this present earth. Take care. (Yes Christ created the world, but this world is not Christ's kingdom).

I think that is a little misguided, as I see what you are trying to promote. Now, for the present Satan has control, but he does not have ultimate control. It was given to him in the garden through sin. But Jesus has already reversed that verdict to those that walk after him, who obey him. He is not god of this world in that he owns the world, but that for a short time he is allowed to reign here, but not over the chosen and the elect of God. He is god of this world in that those who are of the world (unbelievers) worship him and not the one true Lord of Lords, and king of kings. THE KINGDOM IS GOD'S!! WILL ALWAYS BE HIS!!! AND THE POWER IS HIS!! AND THE GLORY IS HIS! FOREVER!

I love how Christ-exalting threads like this always end up in arguments...but, I guess that's just human nature (*sigh*)
I don't think jonathan was trying to assert some big theological argument...I think he's just exalting Christ and rightfully worshiping him as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and ,may I add, the God of "gods."
