I'm a little curious on what name you all will be using for satan himself when he is sitting in your temple pretending to be God, the Messiah.
3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
You've never heard of the concept of being nice, have you?

Look, no matter how much we say "G-d" is not His Name, it falls flat, because we always use it AS His Name.

If there are many gods in this world, why do you so often call G-d "G-d"?
I have never said G-D, nor do I say god as His name... I say god because He is god, only that he is THE
God... (and yes there are other "gods", there must be as we're told not to worship them, but I don't think they are ... beings, I think a god (with a small g) is anything one gives very much attention to

yeah I find it hard to believe the Jews will fall for it
in fact they wont and will take it as a sign to go to Petra in Jordan

That depends on whether or not you believe in the ridiculous notion of a "rapture".

So the best way to know the truth is a bible verse telling us directly NOT to speak his name...Help with that, anyone?
Would God have tempted us to TELL us his name if we were never to speak it?

God gave his name to abraham isaac and jacob for starters - also moses

the rabbis in thier legalism get carried away making more and more rules

so much so that they have forgotten how to pronounce the name of God

except

it uses the same vowels as Judah

Exodus 3:13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? 14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. 15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, the LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations. 16 Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt:

The LORD God of your fathers = the YHVH Elohim of your fathers

If you look in Genesis you see LORD ie YHVH being used

My dad’s name was Elbert, but I never addressed him as "Elbert." I addressed him as “Dad” in respect for him. I think it’s the same with the Lord. I feel most comfortable addressing him as “Lord.” I sometimes call him “God,” usually to differentiate the Father from the Son and Holy Spirit. Sometimes I call him “Jesus” to differentiate him from the Father and Holy Spirit.

This statement I made isn’t accurate, I just realized. I was speaking of how I refer to the Lord when I am speaking of him to other people. When I address him personally, I think I usually call him “Father.”

that's NOT his name then. It is what Moses was supposed to call him...
