Well at least the US constitution guarantees the right to arm bears:D

(or wear short sleeves anyhow)
And it is because of the Constitution that we know it is unconstitutional for the American government to make marijuana illegal :)

I'm 100% positive that Christians are to follow the law of man as long as it doesn't conflict with the higher law of God.

Romans 13:1-2 "1Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves."

Seeng as pot is illegal, I find it quite clear that it is also wrong biblicaly to smoke pot. No where in the bible does God say that smoking pot is one of the things we need to do, therefor it would be going against what God wants us to do by smoking pot.
I actually just realized the irony of you posting this, Cako (interestingly enough, I realized it while I was in the bathroom. Good place to think, that).

You sit here and say that G-d's Word says to obey and submit to the governing authorities, and since marijuana is illegal it is a sin.

At the same time, you had a picture of Obama that was doctored to make him look like an evil anarchist (which, in and of itself, is hilariously ironic and doesn't show a lot of thought on your part). Whatever happened to submitting to governing authorities? Part of submission is respect.

So since abortion is legal, do you see it is biblically legal too?

Hey they might as well legalize marijuanna. As messed up as America is anyway? All the other things that are legal. I'm not saying I would support the legalization of it I'm just making a point.

That's a horrible reason to say something should be legalized.

Ya that is what I was getting at, I believe America is condemned from God's point of view, but we should still seek to do our part to try to save as many as we can. Because we will not stop evil, not until the end of man's reign when God pours out his judgement upon mankind. I guess the point I was trying to make Little -rush is--How much worse could it get?

That is the point I have been trying to make all along,

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8

It seems pretty clear to me that as soon as our mind gets altered the devil is able to devour or influence us.

it can be, yes.... depends on the music.... music can open spiritual doors just as much as drugs

if you listen to some really satanic music.. or like evil undertoned type music... it does move your spirit if you get entranced... and can be very bad

it isn't stretching it at all, you should be careful with everything you do

I'm glad you specified black metal. Too often Christians condemn ALL metal.

Listening to music isn't a sin. To enjoy music isn't a sin. If you worship it, it becomes a sin. Example: Many people (chirstians) have to be careful (including myself) not to worship the worship music itself. That doesn't mean that singing or listening to worship music is a sin. (God created music Himself!)

The texts behind many songs can be bad, but thats another topic.

Marijuana: I have it rather easy: Never been in touch with it, never had the need to use it. I'll keep it that way. For myself, that is the best option.

Feel free to correct me if I see things wrong ;)

Smoke away :) Just remember: once saved always saved :) so it doesnt matter what we do, because we'll go to heaven no matter what.
Wow, you couldn't be more wrong. Once saved, always saved? You are not truly saved if you are continuing a life of sin. As humans we will never be perfect even when saved, however you should feel immediately convicted if you do "slip up" and ask for forgiveness. Psalm 38:16 says "Do not let them gloat or exalt themselves over me when my foot slips." God is always there for us to help us back up when we fall, not when we jump! As for smoking every day, it sounds like you have an addiction which is a sin. Please put your faith in God and listen to what He has to say. I will pray for you both. God bless!

I completely agree, but he wasn't posting this seriously. He was trying to make a point in that once saved always saved is false. He did this in a number of threads.
