Why are the high priest the one to kill Jesus? Is there another reason why they crucified Jesus? I know that they were jealous, but theres got to be another reason for it.

Mark 9:1
what does Jesus really mean when he said " some of them will never die and see the kingdom of God."

Actually Mark 8:31 is an excellent verse because you have Jesus telling us beforehand what will evenutally happen to Him before it happened. The "main" reason the Jews wanted to crucify or kill Jesus Christ was because He claimed to be the Messiah/God and to that end, they simply did not believe Him.

So the next question is, (drum roll please,) where in the Bible did Jesus ever claim to be God? First, keep in mind I am not talking about Jesus Christ actually coming out and using the exact words to everybody, "I am God." He did not say those words but that does not mean He is not God because the Bible does indeed teach that He is God. Btw micro, welcome to the forums.

Now, can you please tell me from your reading of the New Testament some of things Jesus Christ Himself "said" that prompted the Jews to want to stone/kill Jesus for blasphemy? I'll help you out and give a good example. At John 5:17 Jesus said the following: "My Father is working until now, and I My self am working." Look what the Jews say at vs18, "For this cause therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because (or why nitro) he was not only breaking the Sabbath, but aslo was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God." Do you see where I'm going with this?

Oh yea, regarding you last question about Mark 9:1. What Jesus had in view was the idea that His church was now to small to be recognized but later on down the road it will greatly enlarge starting in the book of Acts as on the day of Pentecost where it started to spread like wild fire. This is what He meant when He said that they the disciples will not die before His church takes root. Does all of this make sense to you?

Mark 9:1
what does Jesus really mean when he said " some of them will never die and see the kingdom of God."
1.They did not believe Jesus was the Messiah, and many said how can this be the Messiah, for if has a family,a father, mother, brothers, and sisters, and when the Messiah comes we will not know where He comes from, but we know from where this man comes, which they expected the Messiah to come with great power, and put down their enemies and Israel would be the mighty kingdom on earth, which even the disciples asked Jesus if He was going to restore the kingdom to them at that time, but He said the Father will do it in the future.

When Jesus came as a humble servant it threw many of them off,and probably more were thrown off for that than any other reason, for they expected the Messiah to come in with great power favoring Israel, and trouncing all of Israel's enemies.

But there is no spiritual kingdom unless Jesus came first as a humble servant, and they did not understand that, but thought the Old Testament was the key.

Some said does a prophet come from Galilee believing Jesus could not be the Messiah.

Some believed in Jesus but did not say anything because they did not want to be put out of the synagogue,so their love for their position caused them to be quiet, and not speak up in defense of Jesus.

Some could not let go of the Old Testament to believe that there was anything new that would come about concerning God's covenant with Israel, which is why Jesus said a prophet has honor, but not in his own country.

And that is because a nation has a certain way about them, for they all learn the same beliefs, traditions, and religious practices, and if a person tries to tell them something different and say that is reality that is in contradiction to how their beliefs, and traditions, and religious practices are for that nation, they say,who do you think you are,and how did you attain to this knowledge, for no one else has come to this knowledge, for are you better than us,and you can understand a truth that is obscure to the rest of us,and they will think he is either lying,or crazy.

But if someone goes to a different nation and preaches they might listen to them thinking he has something to offer by way of truth, that they have not attained to for all nations have their own ways about them, and they will think that his nation might have a truth that their nation did not come to that truth.

A prophet is with honor except in his own country.

So there is different reasons why they did not accept Jesus.

They could not believe because He had a physical family, which they believed the Messiah would not have a physical family.

They could not believe because He was speaking a new thing to them, and they could not let go of the Old Testament to believe that God had a new covenant to give them.

They could bot believe because He was humble, and passive, and did not come in with great power, and majesty.

They could not believe for He was saying things that their nation was not taught in beliefs, traditions, and religious practices, believing He was lying,or crazy, for no one else had that knowledge about them, and how did He come to that knowledge that they could not attain when He grew up in the same atmosphere as they did.

Which Jesus came unto His own but His own did not receive Him,so the majority did not receive Him.

2.Jesus said that there are some that are standing here that shall not taste of death until see they kingdom of God come, and with power, which throws some people off for they are thinking of a kingdom to come 2000 years later, and they say,how can they live for 2000 years and then see the kingdom of God.

The Bible says the saints will receive the Holy Spirit, and with power.

Jesus said the kingdom of God comes without observation, for they will not say here it is,or there it is,for behold the kingdom of God is within you.

Although there is a kingdom of God in observation when the saints get there, the kingdom of God that Jesus speaks of comes without observation, for when the saints receive the Holy Spirit the kingdom of God is within them,as they display the kingdom of God's ways on earth, which Jesus said God's will be done on earth,as it is in heaven.

So the kingdom of God to come is not a physical dominion on earth, but it is the saints receiving the Holy Spirit, and displaying the kingdom of God's ways on earth.

Which this happened at the day of Pentecost when they received the Spirit, for then the kingdom of God had come, and with power, which many that were standing with Jesus did not die until they seen that day, which was not that far away in the future.

The latter had to do with the transfiguration upon the Mount when Jesus was seen in his glory speaking with Moses and Elijah which represented the law and the prophets which pointed to Christ!

Those who live in Jesus will never DIE.......But rather sleep until the Resurrection.... Death is a final separation of the SOUL and Body away from GOD.

It was prophesied, and later revealed that the Christ would come to His own people, but they would receive Him not (John 1:11). Even the high priest, scribes, and Pharisees did not have ears to hear and eyes to see what the scriptures reveal.

Mark 9:1...
The kinddom of God is Christ’s Church- which He purchased with His blood. Some of them did not die before Peter used the keys of the kingdom (repent and be baptized) to allow people into His church.

In Isaiah, both prophecies of the Christ and the 2nd coming are written. The leaders of the Church had failed to separate these two prophecies and thus was waiting to a King to return to them as Messiah and rid them of the Roman Army. Shortly after the 70 AD destruction of Jerusalem and the temple, the Nation of Israel was partially blinded and disbursed throughout the world. The only Nation of Peoples (there have been many) whose entire country was taken from them, their identities, etc, to come back to the land given to them by GOD.

We see in Isaiah 28:14-18, the Jewish leaders will make the final covenant with Man of Sin (antichrist) in hopes that rebuilding the temple will bring the messiah back to them in order to rid them of the scourge that is awaiting outside the city. This place is Jerusalem future 2018.

From the Babylonian Talmud:

On the eve of the Passover Yeshu was hanged. For forty days before the execution took place, a herald . . . cried, “He is going forth to be stoned because he has practiced sorcery and enticed Israel to apostasy.”{21}

This what the Pharisees and Council actually charged Him with in order to execute Him!!

The High Priest presided over sacrifices Christ was the fulfillment of the sacrificial system, the real passover Lamb.
From a human point of view the High Priest feared Rome. He said it was better for one man to die than the whole nation to
perish which is more or less what happened anyway in AD70.

People often cite the story of Jesus and the Disciples on the Mountain and the transfiguration as the fulfillment of this because
that follows on from it in the Gospels. I don't believe this is correct. The transfiguration happened only six days later. Are we to believe that the Disciples were so weak and frail that some may not survive another six days? Only Peter James and John were with
him at the time all three must have been very fit to be fishermen. At that time some spoke of two ages. The present age and the age
to come. When Jesus said this they were still in the present age. The age to come was established with the Church and the destruction of the Temple and sacrificial system some forty years later.

Jesus was turned over, betrayed by His own people to fulfill all righteousness, and killed by sinners...……..all mankind……...at the hands of Rome.

All who have ever sinned killed our Lord. This includes you and me.

The High Priests believed that Jesus was a blasphemer who performed His miracles by the power of demons.. That's why they wanted him dead.. They could not accept that the Messiah would say the things Jesus said they even tried to stone Jesus to death before the time Jesus was executed on the cross.. But Jesus miraculously disappeared from their site ad they where not able to stone Him to death..

read what Jesus said and understand why the Jews wanted to stone Him to death.

John 10: KJV
27 "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: {28} And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. {29} My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. {30} I and my Father are one. {31} Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him." 32"Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? {33} The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God."

Mark 9:1

The Kingdom of God came upon the Apostles on the Day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit came down upon them in the form of tongues of fire.. The mistake people make is to assume that Jesus was talking about the final physical return of Jesus on the day of His second coming..

A kingdom starts when the first citizens of that Kingdom are officially brought into the Kingdom.. Christians down through the generations have become members of the Kingdom of God on the day they believed and where indwelled by Gods Holy Spirit..

Mark 8:31
Why are the high priest the one to kill Jesus? Is there another reason why they crucified Jesus? I know that they were jealous, but theres got to be another reason for it.

Mark 9:1
what does Jesus really mean when he said " some of them will never die and see the kingdom of God."
Joh 8:57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
Joh 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
Joh 8:59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

Joh 10:32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
Joh 10:33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

Joh 14:11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

They could not believe that Jesus is God appearing in a human manifestation to them, even though in the Torah in the book of Genesis, God appeared to Abraham in a human manifestation to them, which Jesus said the works He does testifies that He is God.

Mat 13:54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?
Mat 13:55 Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
Mat 13:56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?
Mat 13:57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.
Mat 13:58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Joh 7:26 But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ?
Joh 7:27 Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he is.

Many could not believe because Jesus had a natural family, which they would be half brothers, and sisters, and they did not believe the Messiah would have a natural family.

Which Jesus said that a prophet has honor, but not in his own country, for they all grow up with the same traditions, values, and teachings, and religion, and for somebody to say contrary to that they will think where did you get this knowledge, and why cannot we attain to this, for are you better than us, and they will think he is crazy, or a liar, but in another country that has different things about them, they will think that maybe the person has some knowledge that they do not have and they will hear.

Joh 3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
Joh 3:2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

Some did not confess Jesus because they loved their positions in the nation of Israel among the people, and it probably blinded many to not believe at all in the long run after they once believed.

Act 1:6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
Act 1:7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

Some thought that the Messiah would come and put down Israel's enemies, and they would prosper like in the past, but they did not realize that there has to be a sinless, humble man first, before the kingdom of heaven can be opened to people to have a spiritual relationship with God, and for the kingdom to be restored to Israel.

A lot of Jews today believe that when the Messiah comes there will be peace on earth, which is why they do not accept Jesus as Messiah, for there is not peace on earth in the total sense, but they do not realize that the Messiah had to come first as a humble servant, and then God will allow time to go on for a while to take a people out of the world for His name sake, and then the Messiah will cause peace to come on earth when the allotted time for salvation for the Gentiles is over.

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men to have a spiritual relationship with God, the man Christ Jesus.

And the LORD shall be king over all the earth, and in that day there shall be one LORD, and His name one.

Messiah had to come first as a humble servant, and then as King of the world and there will be peace, which the Jews could not accept Jesus because of His humble servant attitude, preaching love and did not physically go against anyone, even His enemies.

Mat 16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

Mar 9:1 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

Luk 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
Luk 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Act 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Act 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
Act 2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
Act 2:3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
Act 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

When a person receives the Holy Spirit, and with power, the kingdom of God in within them, for they display the ways of God on earth.

Some would not taste of death until the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at the day of Pentecost, for then the kingdom of God had come, and Peter preached the first message, and the people started to be added to the Church, which Peter was the first person added to the Church, built upon Christ who is the chief cornerstone, and the head of the Church.
