DEAR LORD,
Please give us understanding in all that is happening around us
and show us what to do in all things that we may glorify You
in our hearts and actions.
we pray You keep strengthening us,
as You reveal and teach us what is constantly unfolding in our lives.
we beseech you FATHER in HEAVEN by your glorious SON,
that You give us confidence and lead us in the good and right
path of Your will.
Your perfection reveals our flaws -
our helplessness, our continual need of your presence,
join our hearts in the BEAUTY OF YOUR HOLINESS,
we can only bow our heads as a bullrush in the wind.
correct us in Your great mercy.
open our eyes to how we may greater please you.
life and death is in YOUR HANDS.
in this great gulf between birth and death,
let us understand the sorrow and sadness
and every consequence of sin.
let us understand like your servant David that the repercussions
of our sins are for our refining and learning.
put our mouths in the dust if we do not endure
our trials and tribulations with the patience of Job.
when we do wrong and are deserving of judgement,
we ask that recompense comes from You and not from man,
for if we trust in man and his arm of flesh after knowing you,
HOW GREAT IS OUR FOOLISHNESS.
give us strength Father -
humbly we ask that You be near to us and let us not falter
in the walk You have blessed us with.
As for those that love YOU, we pray that we may love them
even as YOU have loved them.
let their faith be higher than the mountains.
let them bring forth an abundance of spiritual fruit
pleasing to you,
let tender compassion be stored in their hearts.
open our hearts and souls and let us perceive everything
that is not pleasing to YOU.
take YOUR SWORD and slash, cut, and rip asunder
all that is not good in this thing we call our hearts.
Please Father bless us all -
with the zeal of Paul, Solomon's understanding, Mose's humility,
Abraham's faith, and Luke's compassion.
please give us a double portion of YOUR WAY

multitude of faults.
