Some of the children look full blooded with dark eyes, and straight black hair and some born with blonde hair and blue eyes in the family due to the mixing. Definite background. If I had posted rap would you have asked if I am black? LOL It is not about race I just appreciate that part of my culture and the realisation of spirituality and it is part of my family tree. It is weird to see two sisters of the same father sitting side by side one obviously indian and the other looks typical european. Same mother and same father, brothers and sisters. So I can appreciate both cultures. It is not about pride, it is recognising where one comes from. I think their form of worship and the way they relate to God is beautiful. I can also appreciate their music and art forms. You see the same thing in families that are bi racial black and white. One may be born looking white and another looking black both from same family. They will be able to appreciate both cultures diverse. There were 11 brothers and sisters born to this full blooded Native American Indian, my Great Grandmother.

We have a mixed blood President in the White house now. He chooses to identify himself as being black even though he is mixed blood. He is referred to as the first black president even though he is of mixed blood. I consider myself native american indian. same thing. Halley Berry a famous movie star is of mixed blood. One white parent, one black. She identifies herself as a black woman.

i wasnt at all trying to offend u. i had found it intriguing.
my family is kinda simular. theres 11 of us born to my mom & dad. alot of us are fair skinned, we're full blooded. a lil bit of cree & saulteaux
we didnt grow up traditional, as far as the ceremonies. we did though enjoy the other aspects. the music, pow-wows, art, food and such. im actually heading back to my roots this nxt wknd. going to our reservation and having a visit with my grandpa
