Hi All,

Just a query, I wrote against naturism/nudism on my blog, it was really in response to an article on my local news. basically the guy said it promotes freedom. anyhow i wont repeat it all here you read it on my blog (the address is on my profile).

what I am asking is your views on it as the more research I do the more I see christian naturist clubs all over the place. personally I cannot agree to it on the grounds of the original philosophys behind it all.

Most or all of the christian naturists clubs all site the Garden of Eden as their justification?

It would be great to hear your thoughts on this, does it glorify God?

I've had one comment on my blog already from someone who obviously is a christian naturist, im just looking for different views before i post back.

many thanks

Phil

the innocense found in the Garden, was before the fall after the fall God provides skins to cover up with, So keep your clothes on Christians, well at least in public

Heb 13:4Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

Thanks Thaddaeus, I believe nakedness should be kept for a married couple.

one more thought no matter how much someone thinks that they have arrived to the level where sin will not be a problem and we can all walk around nude, I remind all that even the perfect one, wore clothes so if you want to be more like Jesus, then keep your clothes on.

Mt 27:35And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.

I can not believe that this even is up for discussion in a Christian forum

Thats a good one, cheers Thaddaeus.

I only put it on to see peoples views, as in my own blog I wroe against it you can see it here , 'christianlifespace.com' . but the more i looked online, as a guy made a comment about Lutherans, I thought i would investigate. I was shocked by the amount of so called 'christian websites' saying how great and liberating it is. all rubbish of course.

anyhow thanks for your help.

Keep the clothes on. I can just see all those lusting eyes. Those are not children of God.

Honestly I don't think there's anything morally wrong with naturism, if that's your thing... But it is massively impractical and uncomfortable in most parts of the world. I just can't see living that way constantly.

It is wrong to look on the nakedness of others (except for marriage), it is a sin to uncover the nakedness of others, and it is a sin to uncover your nakedness.

Um... What makes you say this?

I mean obviously it's a sin to uncover the nakedness of others against their will, as it's rude. And obviously it's lewd to go naked in public areas where that isn't permitted.

But really there are enough sins without inventing new ones.

Hi all,

A quick note just to say thanks. I found a great article from John Piper on the wrongs of public nudity (naturism), and i posted an excerpt from it on the comment made to my original post on my blog.

thanks again

Soli Deo gloria
