Hi i have an idea to write a book that has inspiring stories of how people found the light of jesus christ.
i was raised a christian but began to have my doubts in my late teens but i recently began to read the bible more and other peoples stories of how religion helped them and now im happy and satisified to be a christian. To be honest though i think the way the bible is presented as factual and accurate it may be it does make for a difficult read or new comers. The bible should not need to be translated ,it should be written in clear text in a language that anybody that picks it up can easily understand,so id like to write a book with several examples of how christ helped them directly and how they found christ. By having to translate so many verses it leaves the bible open to misinterpretation and may confuse people of its true meaning. Just like to ask people their advice on the matter.Would anybody like to share there experiances and stories or woulda nybody be able to reccomend where i could go to find peoples stories of how the found christ?
Thanks

Well in my opinion that is why God has given us the Holy Spirit as He brings us to understanding.
On another note if you want to write a book a good start would be to show reverence to the name of Jesus Christ by capitalizing His name, He is The Son of God you know....

God bless you. You could call the book, 'Testify: The Spirit of Prophecy', or you could include praises in it aswell, and call it, 'Testify, Glorify, Magnify'...or you could also include some encouragement for other believers from believers, and call it, 'Testify, Edify, Magnify, Glorify'.

The reason we today need study guides that help us to understand the Bible is because the laws
they lived by back then are considered like living in a prison. Also, I have found I would never be
able to understand many verses simply because I have no understanding of the foundation
which the verses apply to.

It would be like telling a person from that time era that many today love movies more than God.
They would not be able to understand because their understanding is that nothing is more
important than God. They would not grasp that our society holds just about everything as
more important than God because this concept is foreign to them.

In like manner, the honor they gave God back then is not understood by many today. God
today is a great place to go if things get too big for most to handle but they would never
submit to God for any longer than is necessary to get out of the jam they are in.

Like the verses talking about how the mustard seed is the smallest seed but grows into
the biggest vine in the garden. Many see this as a plant that grows in a garden but that
isn't what it is.

What this means is that though at that time the church was just starting and was small
compared to the Roman Empire, it would grow to become larger than everything around it.
The church would grow so large that it would over shadow and expand far past the garden
(the Roman Empire) it was currently located in and expand to all corners of the earth.

If a person did not understand the precept these verses are based on, it looks like a story
about a small seed that grows big.

There are not many concepts that existed back thousands of years ago that we can
understand today without some background info on why it was being said. Their concepts
are foreign to us today. Without understanding the basis of the verses, the verses might as
well be written in the original Greek rather than English. Many still can't grasp the Bible even
though it is printed in English. English allows us to read the words but we will only be able
to understand the meaning if we understand their concepts, not our concepts today.
