I believe in holiness but according to the bible the real mark of holiness is love. Love is working for the benefit of others. If someone is in danger of eternal punishment you will pray & work to see the Lord rescue them. If something is going to cause pain to another or cause them to be in disfavor with God, you will not participate but try to dissuade them.
Again, you will work to keep peace with another instead of getting offended & acting like the world. You know I love to chat with people about politics & other stuff but people get so angry at times, you would believe their mother was just insulted. If someone does not do anything to intentionally hurt you, why would you choose to be insulted & become angry.
Does anyone know what it means to be a mature believer these days? Does anyone study the bible & see that how you treat people is the mark of how much you understand how God sees that individual & you. The bible connects your 'fear of God' with how you handle what is most precious to him. I am, I know that, no matter how people treat me. I know that I am the apple of His eyes & I am His child. If I act in contradiction to what love is (& God is love) then I am a child of the devil.

Luke 6:34-36 (New King James Version)

34 And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back. 35 But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. 36 Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.

New King James Version (NKJV)

1 Corinthians 13:4-6 (New King James Version)

4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;

Galatians 5:22-23 (New King James Version)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

1 Timothy 6:9-11 (New King James Version)

9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.

Love does not come but by the Holy Spirit. The fruit of the Spirit is love. Everyone who is lead by the Spirit of God is a child of God.

There is a judgment in the life of the believer, one we can ask for now, or one which we will be judged by in that day. And the judgment is if we walked in the love of God. Every time we did not, we also were not in Christ.

The glory which God gave Jesus, He has given to us. What is this glory? Love.

The result of this glory? That we may be one with each other, even as Jesus is one with the Father.

Growing in Faith

3 By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. 4 And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires. 5 In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, 6 and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, 7 and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone.
8 The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But those who fail to develop in this way are shortsighted or blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their old sins.
10 So, dear brothers and sisters,[c] work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away. 11 Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The above posts ,yes there is the love that is so real .I guess i do not understand is why when you have not really found believers that truly love eachother personally and then instead there is only a general or community likability .Where i live I do not understand why people do not phone eachother or call others who are their brothes in Christ and so the 'love' is shallowed by a disconnection from eachother and even on Sundays even you feel like a stranger .The only thing I can think of is to wait it out until Jesus comes again because some places that real personal concern is not there SO you stay put and just hope in the best and seek and focus on God and keep praying as i do myself often..You might have to be living in my town to really see such things it seems. i just as i shared just keep on praying and then also seek trusting in Him ..

The one great example that has been given so that we may know the perfect love of Jesus.
It is Jesus Himself.
It is that if one wants to trully seek and know the perfect love of Jesus.
It is found not in looking to recieve, but in serving and loving others in Jesus.
It is this example given by Jesus, who loved us first.
By loving others first, serving and living by His example, that we trully come to know the great love given in Jesus. :)

God bless.

Colossians 3:14
And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

I Peter 4:8
And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude os sins.

Proverbs 10:12
Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.

But truly only the Holy Spirit can give us the love of God that we need in our hearts (Romans 5:5).
