Where does it say the dog was created for man to be his best freind though?
Doesn't say that, thought genesis says Adam had the right to name all the animals and in control of them.
I'm half half about them going to heaven. I have prayed and wished but it would be the ultimate surprise in heaven if they are there waiting for us.....I would be so happy.

on the point of animals going downward, ALL OF US go downward. Meaning that we get buried in the earth. People AND animals turn to dust but I find it hard to believe that animals are put here on earth for the purpose of human companionship and protection or whatever, only to be discarded after they die, with no reward for THEIR service to God while here on earth. WE get to go to a special place when we die, and WE get a reward for OUR service to God. I think that animals go to a special place when they die, but this is only my personal opinion.. :)

So you equate man's best friend to a "beast?" Has a dog ever protected you, or are you just wearing that cap? Dog's are here to protect and serve, if you do not believe that, turn your hat around.
That's not very nice he was only giving you scripture.
You can't judge him, you don't know him.

nobody's lying to her. She asked a question to get our opinions, and that's what we're giving her.. :)

I didnt say anyone is lying to her I said I wouldnt ask you to lie to me if I asked the truth of a matter in a BIBLE discussion seeking the truth of the matter from out of the scriptures.

This thread should just be moved to one of the other forums which arent about what the scriptures say or not. But rather in the other forums where folks typically speak more freely from themselves (then from the scripture).

People lie going above what is written in things they dont know anything about.

If individuals want to quote scripture regarding deaths of animals, where do you suggest I move this thread to? I was only asking for consolation which I have received from most.

The only problem I have with your interpretation is the comparison made to the spirit of man which goes UPWARD......it is fully understood that the body of both man and beast goes to the dirt........you cannot alleviate the contradiction made between the spirit of the man and that if the beast...one goes upward....!

I know it doesnt say that in the scriptures that God created dog to be mans best freind, my sister keeps repeating that same lie to me and I tell her too, thats a lie, thats not true. God created woman for the man as a suitable helper, not a dog.

In truth Adam named both his wife and the animals God brought to him.

And whatever Adam named them that was his name.

Not to be argumentative, but when God created life did that include animals? Not a smart mouth question, just want to know.

The miscellaneous forum, thats sorta where anything goes, someone might come in and say thats not in scripture to a doctor doolittle saying but you could say I dont care about the scripture give me your thoughts only (not Gods) and that would go over just fine there I think.

Its sort of like knowing your forums in that way, because each one will cater to your desires accordingly and you can hear what you want to hear with less interuptions for the most part.

Yes let's not argue. We have all lost animals in our time. So you are not alone there. Although sometimes we can not control the things that God has planned. It is His kingdom.

God created men and beasts yes, as dc posted already, here are both spoken of

Ecc 3:19 For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.

Ecc 3:20
All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.

Ecc 3:21
Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

Ecc 3:22
Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?

Thank you for that, this is what I read....
Solomon most evidently makes an essential difference between the human soul and that of brutes. Both have souls, but of different natures, the soul of man was made for God, and to God it shall return. God is its portion, and when a holy soul leaves the body, it goes to paradise. The soul of the beast was made to derive its happiness from this lower world. Brutes shall have a resurrection, and have an endless enjoyment in a new earth. The body of man shall arise, and join his soul that is already above; and both enjoy final blessedness in the fruition of God. That Solomon did not believe they had the same kind of spirit, and the same final lot, as some materialists and infidels say, is evident from 12:7: "The spirit shall return unto God who gave it."

Amen!
