Perhaps the worse example of modern slavery was in Hiati, where the French did not even think of the Africans as a capital asset, but a commodity. 10,000-20,000 slave died every year from starvation and overwork. This history of violence against men seems to have carried over after independence resulting in one of the most repressive histories of any country. The seeds sown by the French still bear bad fruit almost two hundred years later. In America, they were largely treated as capital assets or, at times, pets.
In the Bible, slaves were still persons and the New Testaments affirms that in God's eyes there is no slave or free. The man who carried the cross for Jesus up the hill was a black man.

But the majority of Roman slaves were treated with horrible cruelty surpassing black slavery in the 19th century (say what you will about the Confederacy, at least they didn't have Colosseum death matches)

You said that you were not putting down a particular race. Here, you exchange the word adultery for the word adulterate and define it as "debasement by adding inferior materials and "less desireable goods" How is that not considering one race over the other? By the way, the fact that the trwo English words are similar does not mean that the Hebrew can be translated as adulterate.

Well you need a better grasp of word origins, the word originally in the English language was 'Adulterate' which means na-aph which means Apostasize your own seed, corruption of your seed through debasement, admixture - to adulterate. The sexual relations outside of marrige is covered in commandment 10.

Your Hebrew is no better than your Greek. Still, are you or are you not saying that 1. races are defined by skin color 2. that by marrying outside your skin color you are "debasing" yourself? Also, have you been tested (genetically) to insure that you are pure? After all, at one point the government of Australia sought to eradicate part-aborigines by interbreeding them with whites. You might be the debased product of something six or seven generations back.
