The Title explains it all.

Mine is James 1:2-4 which states, "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking in anything."

What's your favorite verse(s)?

Greetings Lecrae (cool username by the way, Lecare is definitely one of the most biblically-literate lyricists proclaiming the Gospel today). One of my favorite Bible verses is:

"Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all things will be added to you." - Matthew 6:33

I like what the 17th century Puritan Matthew Henry wrote concerning this important Bible verse:

"We make nothing of our religion, if we do not make heaven of it."
- Matthew Henry, Commentary on the Whole Bible, pg 1304

My favorite would have to be Philippians 1:21-- For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

Ecclesiastes 1:2

"Meaningless! Meaningless!" says the Teacher. "Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless!"

That's King Solomon declaring that no matter how rich you are, a life without God is meaningless. I know, I'm such a cynic.

mine would be "Jesus wept",I think that statement speaks to me because it showed just how human He really was.It showed that He felt just as we do,He had His moments just like us.I believe we look at Christ as a super person but the word clearly says He was 100% human but at the same time 100% God.He had to be both to bridge the gap between us and the Father,I love you LORD,glory, glory, glory, thank You Jesus,AMEN

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. :) That's my favorite verse. It reminds me of someone.

Hebrews 6:1-3 I know you said Verse, but these are all tied together and shouldnt be separated,
Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
Heb 6:2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
Heb 6:3 And this will we do, if God permit.

I am in love with two verses and can never pick:
1. "Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young but be an example in faith, in life, in love, and in purity" 1 Timothy 4:12

2."Therefore do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34

My favorite Bible verse is John 15:26-27 ONT (Orthodox New Testament).
"But whenever the Paraclete should come, Whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of the truth Who proceedeth from the Father, that One shall bear witness concerning Me. And ye also are bearing witness, because ye have been with Me from the beginning."

God bless all of you. All of you, God remember in His Kingdom. "Blessed is the Kingdom of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Now and forever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen." In Erie PA USA Scott R. Harrington, B.A. (psychology, Gannon University, Erie, PA, 1990 AD). Take care!

This is one of my favorite Bible verses. I just think it's beautifully written...and I love hearing about nature ;) Thank you Lord for this wonderful world!!

Ecclesiastes 11:3 "If the clouds are full of rain, they empty themselves on the earth, and if a tree falls to the south or to the north, in the place where the tree falls, there it will lie."

Dear friends, Dear Lecrae, Here's more on my favorite Bible verse, John 15:26. John 15:26 ONT: "But whenever the Paraclete should come, Whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of the truth Who proceedeth from the Father, that One shall bear witness concerning Me." Here is a comment on John 15:26 from Saint John of Damascus:
"We believe also in one Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of Life, Who proceeds from the Father ans rests in the Son: the object of equal adoration and glorification with the Father and Son, since He is co-essential and co-eternal. He is addressed along with Father and Son: uncreated, full, creative, all-ruling, all-effecting, all-powerful, of infinite power, Lord of all creation and not under any lord; divinizing, not divinized; filling, not filled; shared in, not sharing in; sanctifying, not sanctified; the Intercessor, receiving the supplications of all; in all things like to the Father and Son, proceeding from the Father and communicated through the Son, and participated in by all creation, through Himself creating, and investing with essence and sanctifying, and maintaining the universe .... He possesses all the qualities that the Father and Son possess, save that of not being begotten or born ... For the Father is unborn, for He is derived from nothing, but derives from Himself His being, nor does He derive a single quality from another. Rather He is Himself the beginning and cause of the existence of all things in a definite and natural manner. But the Son is derived from the Father after the manner of generation, and the Holy Spirit likewise is derived from the Father, yet not after the manner of generation, but after that of procession. And we have learned that there is a difference between generation and procession, but the nature of that difference we in now wise understand. Further, the generation of the Son from the Father and the procession of the Holy Spirit are simultaneous. ... For in these hypostatic or personal properties alone do the three holy subsistences differ from each other (of being unbegotten, and of being begotten, and of procession), being indivisibly divided not by essence but by the distinguishing mark of their proper and peculiar subsistence." [Exposition of the Orthodox Faith, Bk. I, Ch. VIII, in Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers of the Christian Church, 2nd Ser., IX: 9.].
[Orthodox New Testament, Vol. I, The Holy Gospels: Evangelistarion; Copyright 2000, Holy Apostles Convent, Buena Vista, CO; p. 527, note #297, q.v.].

God bless all of you in His Kingdom, now and ever and unto the ages of ages, in the Father, and in the Son, and in the Holy Spirit; AMEN. In Erie PA USA Scott R. Harrington
