1) Now a Christian brother said to me that he believe that Satan got a fair chance to Repent and make right with God.
2) It was also said that b4 Satan's fall, he was one of the cherubim on the Mercy Seat of the Ark of Covenant.
3) It was said that sin stared in the Perfect Place called Heaven in the very presence of God.
4) Another brother said that we should pray for the devil since that after all, he's also just human.

"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly.....
No.1 that some shall depart from the faith
No.2 giving heed to seducing spirits
No.3 and doctrines of demons" (Tit.4:1)
Hebrews.13:9 warns us, "BE NOT carried about (hither & thither) with various and strange (alien) doctrines..."

Now have we ever wondered why Satan never got the chance to Repent and make right with God, or did he got a fair chance?
If not, what makes them so different from us humans having received Grace?

Simple: he is not a human, but an angel.
Besides, he won't repent

OK thanks for that reply my brother. But why would you think that he won't repent? Do we just assume that he wouldn't have?

Or is there another reason behind it why it was impossible for him to Repent?

It doesn't say in revelation that he wants to, or will repent.

The brother who made that statement was referring to the eternal past, when he sinned, he had a chance then

SATAN, LIKE MAN HAD A CHOICE....he made his choice and tried/is trying to usurp the throne of God....Lucifer was perfect in the day he was created until iniquity was found in him by pride wanting to lift himself up above God and be worshipped as God....no...we are not to pray for him, his destiny is sealed....he is the arch enemy of God and man!

OK I do agree with he had a choice like man. But man having a choice got Grace versus Lucifer having a choice who didn't get Grace

Because the bible shows us the future. And shows us that he doesn't repent. If satan were to repent that would make the bible false as well as everything written about future events, therefore making God not God at all.

The death on the cross, that allows humans to be forgiven does not apply to angels, Godly or fallen. That was a sacrifice for humankind alone and no other. Just as with humans, i believe God had a limit where satan and those that followed him hit a point where they no longer had a choice. When humans dies, and if we didn't live for God, then our choice is taken away. I'm sure God enacted a similar circumstance for satan.

Hello gerjozen,

It's a moot point! It is already written in God's word that Satan and his angels will be thrown into the lake of fire and in fact was created for them (Mt.25:41). Therefore, that can't be changed, otherwise it would make God's word false.

"And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (Rev.20:10)

The above must take place because it is the written word of God.

How can we know that Satan never got a chance to repent? The bible is a narrative of MAN'S fall from grace and eventual redemption through Jesus. It's not a compendium on the life and times of the heavenly hosts. Aren't you making a huge assumption based on zero evidence?

There was never an option for Satan or his angels to repent, because it was never offered. The Lord kinned himself to humanity by becoming a human in order to pay the penalty for our sins as a human. We are saved by grace through faith, but Satan and his angels could not be saved by faith, because they were/are already in God's presence. That said, what kind of faith would they need to have if they've already been in God's presence?

This is what I think..

Neither of us deserved a second chance.. but Adam and Eve were intentionally seduced into corruption by satan, whereas satan, having neither a sin nature (as we do today), nor being tricked by anyone else (as Adam and Eve were then), chose of his perfect free will to rebel against God while in heaven. After his rebellion failed and he fell from heaven, he knew his guilt. He also knew that God would be compelled to bring perfect justice against all sinful creatures. Satan's response was a decision to try to ensnare and spoil God's newest creation (Adam and Eve) so they would be condemned alongside himself. (Notice that this action is the opposite of repentance). But, to satan's horror and fury, God chose (at great cost) to create for humans an additional opportunity to gain freedom from the trap, because satan played a strong hand in getting us into it. We can't say the limits of God's grace- I wouldn't be surprised if He would have been willing to give even satan a second or third or fourth chance, etc.. but I notice that satan has continued for thousands of years to hate, destroy, desecrate and pollute humans, and especially anything to do with Christ, Christians, and the Jews. Not to mention repeating the same corruption act on Jesus Christ himself, and when that didn't work, tried to have him murdered. He's continued to do this over the span of many, many human lifespans (the typical time period given to humans to come to repentance). So no, satan did not get cheated.. God is still good.

I think any answers to this question would be pure speculation on anyone's part. If we are supposed to pray for the devil, then God forgive me. There is the verse about praying for our enemies and blessing them, of which satan would be the greatest of, but I am pretty sure it is talking contextually about human beings as enemies. We are never explicitly told to pray for satan. Never told if he was given a chance to repent. And as others have said, we know his fate already and it is sealed in stone. Would there be any point?

Very good answer,Riverkayak.I would also add that it is sheer mercy on the part of God that allows satan to continue in his state of unrepentance.ie.instead of destroying him in an act of brute force he (satan) is allowed a certain amount of free reign to do his evil bidding. Both we humans and satan knows his destiny - eternal damnation in the lake of fire, but the point is that he has ample opportunity to repent but uses Gods grace to lie, kill, steal and destroy.Ultimately,God will be glorified both through the rebellion and consequent damnation of the unrepentant and the repentance of His vessels of mercy

.When the final day comes and His glory is revealed, every accusatory tongue will be stopped and His goodness will be manifest. It is quite an awesome thought that EVERY knee will bow and EVERY tongue confess that Jesus is Lord - including fallen archangels who live in denial about the death knell they were dealt at the cross.

1. Jesus was sent to die for the sins of humans.. not for fallen angels.
2. Pride was found in the devil.
3. The devil is a liar and the father of it.

What in that gives the devil any possibility of repenting, or being believed?

There's no Gospel (good news) for satan because God did not become an angel to die for angels and therefore no promise of redemption for them.
