Hi all, I am here to discuss what I have been learning and therefore I am simply a learner and will try to be as open to other people's views that they share.

So the question is Should the Gosple of the kingdom be preached?

I will take a position to say yes, the Gospel of the Kingdom should be preached.

So First what is the message of the kingdom?

And what I have read was it was the availability of entering the kingdom that begins now by believing who Jesus is. The type of belief that is ready to act as what you believe is true.

Why is this message important?

I believe it is important because not only does it help us to understand the Bible and some hard questions, but for many professing Christian without this message it may be a reason there is no real change in the heart, or transformation of our being into Christ likeness.

And without the desire or ability to change, life as we live it here on earth, lacks true meaning.

I'm really starting in the middle and pray the discussion brings us in both directions..begginging and end.

So first let's take a look at how Theological terms can be taken to mean something different then they actually
do.

For example Eternal life

Some may picture it as heaven when they die. But one def in the Bible is, to know God and Jesus whom He had sent.

One passage that I believe corresponds with that def is in John 14. Where it mentions the father and the son coming to abide in us.

Another term is Grace. Some people merely view it as a favor and only for forgiveness of sins. But I like to see grace as different type of favors depending on contexts of course.

But what I have come to accept for myself is that grace is God stepping in on our behalf to do what we cannot do on our own.

The last terms are faith, belief and trust.
And I am a fan of James. And I have accepted faith as belief with intention.
But these can be looked into as well because they need to be defined by context.

Now that I mentioned a couple of terms that can make this discussion miscommunicated I want to move on to what I learned to be the real issues.

First, is how we are evangelize. As a Baptist I have always heard that if you believe what Jesus did to secure your salvation then you will have heaven when you die. Therefore. Believe Jesus died, was buried and arose from the dead for my sins and I have heaven when I die.

And don't get me wrong...God knows our hearts and our good intentions.

While we may believe mentally that Jesus did this for us and He did, and it is an essential aspect of Salvation as a whole.

What is the issue then?

The issue could be for many that We are trusting something He did before knowing who He is and trusting in Him.

A good example is a woman who sees a man's pocket book before getting to know Him. Could it be true that after she gets what she wants she has no need for Him.

And on the flip side with Jesus....it runs almost the same way, because many may not see or ever understand why it is important to stay close to Jesus as possible. BECAUSE WE MAY JUST USE HIM FOR HIS BLOOD TO SECURE OUR SALVATION.

Therefore hopefully one can see the effect. There can be no transformation into the image of Christ without remaining close to Him.

However now let us look into the Gosple message of the kingdom and how it includes the atonement.

First thing I hear in the message is "Repent" for the Kingdom of God is at hand.
It is near us and in the midst, one might say; And reachable.

I WILL STOP HERE AND FINISH A LITTLE LATER

Believing is a product of already having been born again, and not the cause of it. 2 Tim 2:13, If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful, he cannot deny himself.(we are in him and he in us) When we are quickened to a spiritual life, we are dead (spiritually) and cannot respond to spiritual things, such as accepting spiritual things, believing (discern) in spiritual things. Eph 2:1 & 1 Cor 2:14.

Maybe it would aim the thread precisely if we defined the Kingdom first.

It is obvious from Genesis 1:2, Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28 that the earth suffered a bad government before Adam was made. The king of that time rued his kingdom badly and chaos ensued. God could not look upon chaos for long, so He covered it with water and stopped light reaching the waters covering the earth. Again, God will not tolerate judgement forever, so He restores the earth to a pristine condition and places a new king - Adam, in place. Adam joins the previous king in being disobedient to God and chaos ensues, ended by a flood. Noah's offspring are given kingship again, but conspire to be like God. God gives each company a different language this stops a third round of cahos and judgment. Then God starts a recovery work on His man.

To Abraham are promises given. Among them are three crucial ones to rectifying the kingship issue on earth:
  1. Abraham is to possess the Land
  2. Abraham is to possess the "Gates of his enemies"
  3. Abraham will produce a Seed that will bring blessing to all the families on earth
Abraham's seed fail, but in their darkest hour, when they are captive to a heathen nation, when God's House and Testimony is gone, and when God's people do not possess the Land anymore, God calls out Daniel to prophecy that all these things will be rectified. In Daniel Chapter 2 a coming Kingdom is promised that will;
  1. be of God
  2. be lead by Someone Who proceeded from God
  3. be ruled by a people chosen by God
  4. fill the whole earth
In their deepest crisis, a small remnant of Israel are graced with the presence of the New King. He is Jesus, Son of God and Son of man. He presents the Kingdom predcited by Daniel, to Daniel's People - Israel. So, with a view to all Kingdoms that we have seen in the Bible, and on earth, we can define a Kingdom as a king who is present, and who has the power to exercise his will. And so, in accordance with Daniel Chapter 2, our Lord Jesus, the new King, prays to the Father; "THY (God's) Kingdom COME (from heaven), THY (God's) will be done ON EARTH as it is in heaven." THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS ALREADY ESTABLISHED AND MUST COME TO EARTH WHERE A USURPER KING IS RULING. AND WHEN IT COMES IT MUST BE A RULE ON EARTH, BUT WITH HEAVENLY REGULATIONS.

The "Gospel" of the KINGDOM" is different to the "gospel of GRACE". Both are a gospel - good news. But
the gospel of grace is that God has set in place a means by which men can have their sins put away and partake of the Tree of life
the gospel of the Kingdom is that God will take these men and women who have had their sins put away, train them, and then install them as co-kings with Christ.
the gospel of grace is that men, unable to save themselves are saved by another's works
the gospel of the Kingdom is that men must cooperate with God to train them to be kings in His Kingdom
the gospel of grace is that all is for free by FAITH
the gospel of the Kingdom is that it is a REWARD for diligence and sacrifice - WORKS ordained by God
the gospel of grace is that it is an eternal work by Christ and can never be overturned
the gospel of the Kingdom is that the sloppy, slothful and sinful will NOT RULE and so avoid God's wrath on earth
the gospel of grace is that certain men and women will enjoy Christ in the divine and heavenly realm
the gospel of the Kingdom is that all men on earth will be blessed by a righteous Government
the gospel of grace is that there is a new birth that makes men "children" of God by birth
the gospel of the Kingdom is that only MATURE children - "sons of God" will rule
